I like the fact that this food comes in the larger size hard disk shaped flakes... Imagine small cornflakes. This enables you to either feed whole flakes, or break and crumble into smaller peices according to fish size. I feed this product to fish that range in size from golf ball sized goldfish to feeder guppies. What stands out to me about Aquadine is that I've witnessed fish that don't usually eat flake consume this readily. e.g. Black Ghost Knife. I'm glad I found it at such a good price, pet shops just aren't what they use to be.

Bought this for my planted 37 gallon tank to circulate a dead spot in my aquarium. This is my 1st Koralia or water circulation pump and was worried that it would blow away my fish and plants all over so I bought this under sized one instead of the Koralia Nano 425 which was rated for my tank size. I was surprised at how it circulates well for a big tank. It creates a dispersed and gentle current, unlike a powerhead that blasts a stream of water in a single direction. My fish has also perked up, they seem to like the gentle current and I often see them swimming around it. Also, it's nice to see the leaves on my plant sway with the current.As for my dead spot, this little thing took care of it and water is clearer. I have it aimed down and towards my Fluval C4 and any detritus or fish poop is pushed towards it. The magnetic suction cup is awesome, it gives you flexibility of putting this Koralia anywhere in your tank without worrying about the suction cup wearing out. Did I mention the size of this thing? It's slightly larger than an egg but does not take up a lot of space. Others have mentioned the red ball clip that attaches to the magnetic suction cup may break, but in my experience it's a solid piece and unless you are putting a lot of force and stress on it, then yes it will break.

If you are looking to create cross flow in a small nano (I use it on my Nano cube 12) this is perfect. I had a much larger water mover in there, and it was just too much.. This is powerful enough for small tanks and created a great flow throughout the tank when paired with the Hydor spinner on the tanks pump output.I do not think I would use this on anything larger then a 12 or bio cube 14. If I where to have a 20 long, or even a 28 nano cube I would opt for something a little more powerful.
It is small, and not very obstructive of viewing even when placed towards the front of the tank.

I really love this product. This is my second one. I searched for the smallest size and this is what I came up with. My fish seems to struggle with my larger one like they were in a sea storm which I really didn't like it seem to stress them out. I found this and I love it and the fish love it they can swim in calm sea's again! It's a great product just right for what I was looking for. I purchased this product at Petsmart the other day after reading all the comments. I know that the design should be working so I bought is for my aquarium. This product DOES work, and will stick on very tightly. The problem would be the method of setting this item up; you should hydrolyse it first in water then push it against the glass ABOVE the water, not in water, which means there will be a bubble in the middle of the suction cup. Then move it down under the water surface to the place you want. It will stick to the glass even tighter after a while and hard to be moved again.The reason of these methods is due to the function of the suction cup. The suction cup is designed for using the atmospheric pressure to push the cup towards the glass tightly, since the atmospheric pressure will be greater than the air in the cup, so a small bubble is required in the middle. If you set this item in the water without any air in the middle, the section cup will lose its function because when you press it in the water, the internal water pressure will almost equals to external water pressure, due to the properties of liquid, which is harder to be depressurised.
I hope this will explain the reason some people thought this item wont work. Moreover, Betta fish does also rest on it :)
Oh, and in reference to all the negative reviews stating that the leaf pops off -there must have been a redesign. My leaf stays put, and the suction cup seems to be working just fine as well (fingers crossed).

When I first put the leaf in my tank my Betta puffed his gills like he saw and intruder. After a few minutes he began to explore around it. It didn't take him very long at all to figure out what it's purpose was. The day after I bought it I looked at his tank and he liked it so much that he started to form his very first bubble nest right underneath it. I highly recommend the Betta Leaf Hammock. Other reviews say that the leaf fell out of the suction cup but I think they redesigned it because there isn't any way that the leaf can fall out of the one I received. so, i see many reviews of people saying that the leaf doesn't stay in the suction cup. my belief is that you're just not pushing it hard enough into the suction cup. it's not as easy as most people say it is or should be, i had to push it in very hard, but once you get the stem of the leaf into the hole of the suction cup, it appears to be just stuck in there. i doubt you would be able to take it out. i have it my 2.5 gallon tank for my betta, he loves it. he chills on it during the day when he's bored, and sleeps on it at night.the only thing i do not like it about it, is that there is a metal wire in the leaf, and if you bend it (or maybe even if you don't) the wire sticks out. it will eventually rust, plus it could cut your fish, so i bought some aquarium sealant (non-toxic to fish, $6 at petsmart) and covered the wire with it. i waited about 3 days for it to dry, and i put it back in. so, now it's safe, and my betta loves it. (: i've also heard you can take the wire out, and it's fine like that too.
i bought this leaf at petsmart about 2 months ago, and only for about $2.30, so it's cheaper. i think it's worth it, if you have the time to fiddle with it, and if you assemble it right. i say give it a try. (:
ALSO, if you put it in your tank and your betta doesn't seem interested, try feeding them over it over the course of a few days. it helps them realize to use it, but if s/he still doesn't use it, then s/he's just not interested. it does depend on your betta's personality, but at less than $3 at petsmart, i say it's not that much of a waste if your betta doesn't use it.

I was shopping at petsmart, and saw this leaf; I thought my Betta, El Jefe would like it. after two days of investigation, he decided to try it out, and now loves it! whenever I enter my room, 80% of the time El Jefe is watching the rest of the world from his little hammock. I havn't had any issues with the suction cup, or leaf falling off, so I think that there must have been a re-design somewhere along the way. If El Jefe could talk, he would tell you to buy this leaf, cause he likes it!

The tubing has stuff written on it every 6" or so and I wasn't able to scratch it off either. It is clearly cut from a large spool and has no packaging of any kind. I'm not convinced that its aquarium tubing, I would bet that its medical tubing of some kind. It does work though. I do wish I had know of the writing on the tubing. Although the tubing it self is a 5 star quality item I'm giving it 3 stars based on the shadiness of my experience. I use this chiller on my Ryunkin goldfish tank. The temperature used to get to 77 deg which is too hot for goldfish, this unit brought it down to a cool 71 degrees. The unit is so quiet, I was really suprised, the only annoying thing is if your using a controller it makes a beep everytime it starts up, I'm going to go inside of it and disable it. The front cover comes off pretty easily to change the filter but it exposes all the 120v wires and compressor in it is so if you have small kids and they pull it off it could be dangerous (just a thought). One more thing this unit uses 1/2 inch hose fittings and most of the pumps rated at the flow for this unit use 3/4 inch fittings, I used some pipe tape on the half inch hose and stuck it in the center of the outlet of the pump and it holds well. If your using this for coldwater fish this unit will run ALOT, unit runs 35 minutes per hour on my 25 gallon tank, i'm wondering if I should have ordered a bigger one. We'll see how long it lasts.

I purchased this for my 65 gallon tank that was running too hot due to pumps and lighting.It works well and keeps the tank at the desired temperature. It does run the compressor most of the time. It is most certainly NOT silent (as another review stated), it is about as loud as a small refrigerator would be.
Hook up is very easy. I used the 5/8 inch fittings.

This has been the best purchase for any fish tank. First, I would like to say that if you are considering buying this product, you should read this. I was very mislead by the youtube videos, and all the product reviews on this product. I have had this product for over 6 months. Let me explain to you, my story.1. Purchased Product, Received Product fairly quick. Missing Mint Cloth, Screws & Hardware, also the entire lightning balast system /including bulb.
No problem? Just exchange it right? Wrong. 2nd Product Received with the same accessories missing plus a plastic part on the aquiarum cover/lid was broke off. And instead of the aquarium saying Aquavista (under where the frame goes, it said "china" embedded in the plastic.)
Hmm.. I think to myself.. This can't happen a third time can it? Why, Yes it can! It came from china. Same missing accessories: Screws & Hardware, cloth, lightning ballast system + bulb. Wow, Right off the bat someone would rate this a 1 star.. Not me, I'm willing to give it a shot!
I call Amazon, they told me to contact Aquavista. Aquavista Customer Service Support was very nice, they sent me Lightning Ballast + bulb that i had to install / + free filters.
After setting up this aquarium, i had bought my own pebbles / Rocks. ( this will become a nightmare as small rocks will fall in the filteration area and become stuck). I followed the manual, waited to put fish in tank.
I have had a horrible time with this tank, I have to clean this tank at least once every week otherwise the tank becomes filthy and fish start dying. I have had horrible, horrible experiences with this tank. Here's one to mention. One morning, GloTetra Disappeared. Hmm.. Where he go? Called aquavista. They told me to check behind the aquarium background. (was really fun trying to take this off after setting aquarium up.) Long story short, in the bottom right side of tank, theres a small hole (between black filter cover and background in corner of tank) where little fishies can get through. SO, Mr. Fish was stuck behind the tank. Long story short, becasue i had to bend background alittle to get fish on other side, small rocks fell between the plastic and background to where the picture would not fit the way it should. Had to take the entire tank apart, fake aquarium plants, small ship, fish, rocks.. everything. This was truely a nightmare. This didn't happen once, but three times. Once with a albino frog (didn't have to take the tank apart because he was easier to get) and also a neon tetra who is decaying in the bottom of the tank under the black filter. Oh yes, this causes disease and all fish will die, Except my Pleco + Frog. I have bought a water testing kit before all of this happened, and the ammoneia levels were extremely high. (50-100% water changes + cleaning of all objects/rocks) per week. To top things off? If you accidently overfill the aquarium with water (there is a meter) water will drip on your floor. But one time dripped on the right side instead of the left side. This caused the LCD touchpad + Screen to short out. Aquavista customer server was extremely nice, and sent me another one for me to replace. I paid $ 140 160 for this product and felt that I extremely over paid for cheap china plastic and poor quality. Poor Filtration in a 5.5 Gal = Death to all fish (cept pleco+frog or other high immune system species)
I would not have gotten this product if I would have known all of this could happen. It's truely a beautiful tank when it is lit up and turned on. Then the beautiful moment is ruined by fish who sink to the bottom of your tank lifeless and dead. Go to your local pet store to buy an aquarium worth spending this much money on.
EDIT 8/4/11: Yep, so.. My frog pretty much lives behind the fish tank and comes out when he wants to.. Great conversation piece to tell people why my frog is stuck behind the "design flawed" tank. Yeah... I've tried blocking all areas where he could possibly get behind with the white rocks it came with.. somehow he manages to still get behind there.. fkn frog.

First off, it was missing hardware to put it on the wall.Very hard to assemble.It is a very pretty scene, but do not and I repeat put it anywhere in the house where you are going to sleep because it is extremely noisy.
We bought this for our son's room because not only does he like fish, but it was decorative.Only thing was that it kept him up all night long with the noise the motor made.
Very disappointed because i had been thinking of getting this for about 2 years and kept putting it off.Should have kept with my first instinct.

This is an absolutely amazing product. It brings a new life to any room that you place it in and brings the calm and relaxing feeling that comes with a brilliant fish tank. The internal components, which consists of a filter, heater, air pump and light make this product easily to maintain which in turn makes it fun to own. It took me about an hour to measure out and install the unit, and I then used cable management to hide the power cable. Lee's The Ultimate Gravel Vac 25' Kit
I have three (soon to be five) tanks, and after setting up the third I quickly realized that lugging buckets for all of them twice a week just wasn't an option. I purchased the Lee's gravel vac and haven't looked back since! It is wonderful, and works perfectly. It is true that the plastic adapter that it comes with must be replaced, but $6 and a trip to the hardware store solves that issue. It hardly makes the product "useless", unless you're ridiculous enough to toss it over such a small issue. The lower price point more than makes up for the small fix.It is an identical product to some of the pricier ones (such as Python), but works just as well. I would highly recommend it to anyone with multiple tanks or with large tanks who is tired of hauling buckets!

I've had a python for 5 years and was stupid last time I put it away and didn't make sure all the water was out of it and behold, mold! I was looking for something fast on here (since I have prime) and not overly expensive. Lee's was always at the pet store so figured I'd try it. It doesn't have the vacuum power I'm used to, took a half hour to do my 29 gal. Even then I had to refill the tank to finish cleaning the gravel. I never saw whether this bulb worked. The first one arrived shattered. Cross-ship return. The second one arrived shattered. Cross-ship return. The third one didn't have any glass obviously broken, but the packaging was the same and the bulb never flickered or lit. Returned.At the end of the day, Petco actually had better pricing for an equivalent bulb and shipped in MUCH BETTER packaging. So...try the bulb, but be ready to return it if you hear glass rattling when it arrives.

Tetra Whisper Air Pump
I bought a 5 gallon air pump for more than this, and that air pump failed to pump air through 2 2.5gal tanks. So, I went to the overkill side and purchased this. First, though, I want to address some of the other reviews.NO air pump, I repeat, NO AIR PUMP IS SILENT. If a manufacturer tries to sell you a silent air pump, you need to step back and assess if their project development team has taken remedial physics. Vibrations create sound, which means no silent vibrating air pump diaphragms. According to classical physics, it is physically impossible for that to happen. However, through sound damping and clever material choice, you can make it so that it's close to silent. You'll never actually get there, but you can make it quiet enough to not be heard over the usual white noise of the home.
This air pump is the quietest I've ever gotten my hands on. I live in a building with a constant low level of background noise, and I have to concentrate to pick the pump's quiet hum out. It's well constructed, the rubber feet do a lot in the way of damping sound, and if you have it in a bedroom, wrapping it with a towel makes it practically inaudible. Otherwise, it's a very well built and well functioning pump for its price. You will never find anything as good quality as this and for as low a price as this; I can guarantee it from weeks of searching online.

I have this setup on a 20 gallon tall aquarium. It also goes to a standard 10 gallon via a 2-way gang valve. So in essence it would be like connecting two 'bubble' devices up (think air stone plus bubbling treasure chest decoration as an example). The gang valve allows me to compensate for the 10 gallon not being as deep as the 20 gallon. For those interested, it is running a sponge filter in both tanks.With this set up, it is barely able to keep headway and only produces a minimal amount of bubbles. This is okay for me, since I run fully planted tanks and only need minimal water flow for temp and nutrient distribution. If I was doing two devices in the 20 gallon alone though, I'm not sure it would be powerful enough.
How big of a pump do you need? It's all about depth and has nothing to do with volume ... which is how they are foolishly marketed. It should be clear that a pump will work much better on a 20 gallon long tank than it will on a 20 gallon tall tank due solely to the depth of the water even though they have the same volume.
My biggest complain with this air pump is it isn't quite. It's about the same level of noise that a cheap HOB filter makes while good HOB filters will be far quieter than this thing. It's a constant hum that you can get use to, but will always be there and add to the `background' noise of your house. The best I could compare it to is the kind of noise a refrigerator makes when it is on.

I had my doubts about purchasing an air pump for my 16 gallon bow front aquarium. Vibra-Flo® Battery Air Pump
Purchased this in anticipation of power outages in Hurricane Irene. Our power was out for 3 days and I did not lose any fish or coral in my 14 gallon saltwater tank, including my beloved nem, thanks to this pump.HOWEVER... from 2 rooms away we couldn't hear the 75 mph winds over the noise from this pump. I don't know if it's louder than any others, but it is definitely dramatic!

Who knew LEDs would make their way into the aquatic industry? I was looking into several products when I decided to get an additional light for my aquarium to convert it into a planted tank, and it seemed that LEDs were the best choice because they did not run (as) hot as fluorescents and the wattage is a lot less in comparison as well. I was looking into several Marineland products like the Marineland Aquatic Plant LED Lighting System w/ TIMER 18-24", but to be honest, it's a bit overpriced. By comparison, the finnex is more than half the price of the Marineland. Don't get me wrong, I love the company and it's products are usually of great quality and efficiency, but the LEDs are more expensive than they should be.However, I wasn't sure whether LED's had the potential to be as bright. Well, let me tell you now, the Finnex is pretty dang bright. It pretty much illuminates the aquarium in bright daylight, emphasizing the colors of the plants, fish, rocks, and *gasp* the clarity/clearness of the water. My plants are growing pretty well. I am really glad that I did not go with the Marineland because I don't really need the moonlights it's cool and everything, but it's just a gimmick for blue light. I have the Marineland LED Aquarium Hood 20 by 10 and the moon lights seem a little artificial and fake. Not that natural, which is the look I'm assuming most of you are going for.
One thing that I surprised me a bit was how small it was and how hot it ran. It's not super hot, but enough to not be "cool". By the way, it's very well-made. It's solid, but I guess that comes from the unibody construction.
Overall, I'm pretty impressed with the light it's a tremendous value over other competitors and I saved a lot of money by deciding to go with the Finnex.

This light is amazing, I received it today and put it on my tank. Wow this is amazing! I have a biocube 29 gallons and it fits perfectly. My corals opened up well, especially my leather corals. Its like a balloon that someone inflated it. And my overheating issue with biocube lid is gone. My only complaint is that the power cord is too short, like really really short. With my biocube and its stand the cord doesnt even touch the floor. Im still very happy overall because of the price, capability and quality of the product. Best bang for the buck!

I love what this product looks like, the color of the light, and the soothing waterfall. The negatives I have found is that the waterfall pushes my male beta on his side when he swims close to it. Therefore, he hides behinds the filter a lot and I don't see him much. This is one of the rare occasions when I review a project I havent bought. First let me start off by saying you can only put ONE, not TWO glofish in here. Second I find this REALLY expensive. You could by a glass bowl and say 30 bucks. With glofish you will need a heater and filter. That would be a huge hassle. They wont fit and this means more of your money wasted. If you want a glofish tank invest in a good big tank. The ironic thing is bigger tanks are easier to maintain.If you want two glofish you should get a three of four sized gallon tank. I really like this. It very realistic and looked perfect when my plants started filling in around it. I attached an air hose and with a small, slow bubble flow it attracts compliments from all my visitors. The only caveat I have is that when cleaning I bumped the nose and a small patch of the outer skin came off, revealing the plastic underneath. Right on the nose! But it didn't look too bad so I left it and it now has a light dusting of algae which is covering the 'blemish' on her nose, making it look even more like old stone. I didn't know when I ordered it that it was also a bubbler that may have just been my lack of reading. It is nicely made. This filter does a good job cleaning and aerrating the water in my turtle tank...however, I have to relocate my turtle when I run the filter...it causes a whirlpool effect and the poor thing is pushed around in a circle swimming for its life. Was hoping it could be run with the turtle in it but not possible. I now remove the turtle to a different receptacle for the night while the filter runs. This is working out..but not as convenient as I was expecting. But I do recommend it if you have the turtle swamp cause it does do a good job when it is on. Vendor was very prompt in sending product and it arrived in fine shape....easy to operate as well.

If you're are looking for a low maintenance filter, this is the one to get. just keep the filter cleaned & unclogged & you'll have clean clear water in your tank. thanxI bought this filter to keep my terrarium's water bowl clean since I usually try to keep a couple gold fish in their in case my water dragons get hungry. This bowl holds approximate 1-1.5 gallons of water and is about 2.5 inches deep and has river rocks on the bottom. My first dissapointment was that the filter did not come with any sort of instructions. Then when I put it into the bowl I found the results simply disappointing. It did not keep the water any cleaner than putting a sponge on the end of an air hose. I used it in the Tom's Swamp for a couple of quarter size hatchlings. I never planned on it being a long term use filter by any means but it couldn't even handle the swamp which it was made for. I still have extra filter refills but I don't ever plan on using this again. Waste of money.Save 4% Off
