Marineland DJ100 Duetto Internal Multi-Filter for up to 20-Gallon, up to 92 GPH
There are 3 varieties of the Duetto filters. They are:Mini up to 10 gallon 2-40 GPH 2-1/2" x 1-3/8" x 5-3/4"
DJ-50 10 gallon 13-66 GPH 3-1/4" x 1-1/2" x 5-1/2"
DJ-100 20 gallon 27-92 GPH 3-1/4" x 1-1/2" x 7-1/4"
These filters have all the necessities: a prefilter/mechanical, a biological filter, a carbon/chemical filter and an air intake that allows the air to mix with the water that comes out of the spout. It is also an extremely quiet filter as long as you keep the pour spout below the water line (to prevent the sound of the water splashing). The only slight problem that I can find is that a tiny amount of air leaks around the seal between the filter media container and the top section, but this isn't a big deal since the water level will almost always be lower then this seal. It's also an efficient filter that produces less heat then most others.
You can use the filter as a pump by removing the pour spout and plugging in a hose that has an inner diameter of 1/2".I don't know about fancy aquarium stuff, but I love this filter. You put it in, the tank gets clean and you don't have to clean it as often as the cascade ones! I love it (and the fish do too!)

Ideal for medium to small tanks.I use it in my fry tanks, with a net covering the water entrance when the baby fish are too small.Really, this device can serve three purposes: it pumps and moves water around (at various power levels), it filters (with 3 stage filtration), and it can mix air with water, so that your aquarium can be properly aerated. In order to take in air, this filter has a sort of a snorkel with a screw-in cap that allows you to regulate the quantity of air being sucked in. The snorkel stays above the water surface, so there is always a reliable supply of air available.
I mean, you get one device that replaces up to three separate contraptions that all would require maintenance, supplies, space, and, of course, electricity.
This filter also requires some maintenance that is easy to perform. Note: never use any harsh chemicals on this device and its filter media. Especially avoid using Windex, because you do not want to kill the biofilter and you do not want any more ammonia in your fish tank!
There are three pieces of filter media in this device: the primary (rough) mechanical filter, the biofilter, and a self-contained basket-like activated carbon filter.
The activated carbon filter piece is a tightly-capped plastic container that needs to be replaced entirely every 4 to 8 weeks. However, there is a way to open the cap on this container. Then you may be able to replace the activated carbon granules with any separately purchased granules or with a mixture of carbon and zeolite. But, if you do not perform this procedure accurately enough, then your might face some cleanup problems or the impeller could get damaged.
The filter is reasonable quiet, unless you run it at the extreme lowest or highest throughput mode. Every setting in between is fairly quiet. It hardly takes up any space inside a tank. Plus, you do not have to modify your tank's cover to accommodate this kind of filter, because it stays completely or mostly submerged with nothing hanging over the edge of your tank.
Note: a brand-new filter may contain some oil inside its pumping assembly, so just rinse it with running water before installing this device for the first time. The manufacturer states that the motor is completely sealed with epoxy, so I guess that you do not have to worry about the motor.
BTW, the fish find this filter to be a great entertainment piece.

I've been using this in a 20 gal aquarium with tetras, platys, swordtails, etc for over a year and it's been great. I dont hesitate to recommend this filter. It works well and I've never had trouble. I keep it completely submerged so the tank is quiet. You can leave it up above the water a little to create more current, and if you want you can open the little port that lets air mix into the water too. The only reason I dinged it one star is because it cost me about $12-15 every time I have to replace the three different cartridges depending on where I shop to get the parts. I wish it were cheaper for those parts, such as maybe they could sell multi-packs/bulk packs, etc. The carbon cartridges come in a two pack but the sponges dont. So just keep that in mind when you are planning for long term maintenance. This is a very solid filter and overall I love it.Laguna PowerHeat Heated De-Icer for Ponds - 315W
I purchased three identical Laguna Pond Heaters, 315 watts. #1 died in three weeks. #2 made it three months before it expired. #3 was a real performer and made it four and half months before it quit working. When they worked, they worked just fine. I have a 1000 gallon pond in Colorado and was hoping to use two at a time to cut down on the ice build up, which I did until #2 died.
There is, without question, a design flaw in this product. They were used exactly as directed by the instructions. Buyer beware. This was my second Laguna pond heater. I returned the first under the two year guarantee (didn't last a winter). Laguna replaced the heater with this model and it worked perfectly from November until March and then quit. I cannot recommend. I wasted nearly $40 for constant problems. Choose another brand!

This pond heater worked great for our pond. It arrived fast and was well packaged. It has a long power cord and will reach from the deep end of our pond to the electrical outlet, which is about 8 feet and with cord to spare. I turns off when the water warms up so that it will not over heat either the unit or the pond. I highly recommend this heater.Petco Mini Aquarium Kit, Color:Assorted

I purchased this item because it was FAR cheaper than the brand name for Therapure 201M Replacement UV Bulb. It works as well (if not better) than the brand name itself. I give it Five Stars because I'm beyond impressed with it's capabilities for the price of it.This lamp was an exact and perfect fit for a 5 Watt UV-C lamp used in a THERAPURE 101M Electronic Air Purifier. And the price was more reasonable here (bought 3 for spares and got free shipping). Everyone gives different part numbers for these UV bulbs so you think you have to buy from the appliance manufacture. You don't. This 5-watt lamp will fit any appliance with a 5-watt UV-C lamp.Want Purely Products PUVH2305 5-Watt UV-C Germicidal Ultraviolet Replacement Bulb Discount?
My air cleaner is functional again. I never noticed that my old unit didn't have a light. Now with the new UV light, I am confident that it is working properly now.Replaced original UV lamp perfectly. If it blinks and sputters on first startup, don't assume it's defective.
Several minutes are required for the mercury to vaporize before the bulb can do its thing.

Hydor H2Show Magic World - Gargoyle and Book Decoration Combo Pack
When I saw the Magic World "Hogwarts"-themed background, I just knew I had to have a Harry Potter aquarium! I know these are not officially licensed Harry Potter products, but it's pretty obvious -the background, in particular -what Hydor was going for with this themed set. We purchased the gargoyle and book (Hogwarts: A History, undoubtedly, yes?) and the owl in the tree, as well as the background image, for our 16 gallon bow front aquarium. The products (the gargoyle and the book) arrived loose in their packaging. As they are resin, there was no chipping, though. Both pieces had two large globs of dried glue on the bottoms, which I assume was how they had been originally anchored in the packaging. Prying these dried spots of glue (each around the size of a penny) from the decor was really difficult! I placed the gargoyle and the book in the tank and they look quite nice, especially with the background. The owl piece of decor is almost 12" high, which I did not realize when I ordered it; it's way too big for a 16 gallon tank, so I will be returning the owl (it's an attractive piece, though, for a larger tank). I opted to skip the crystal ball and the rock formation, which was a good choice as the pieces are of good size and the entire set could easily overcrowd a smaller-sized tank. The gargoyle and the book are, obviously, hollow, so there are holes to keep them from floating out of place. Normally one would hide the air holes for aesthetic reasons, but I left the air holes in the book remain slightly above the substrate to provide a refuge for our African dwarf frogs. It works perfectly for this purpose. All in all these are nice pieces of aquarium decor and are perfect for a wizarding or Harry Potter theme (again, I realize these are not officially licensed Harry Potter products; they just happen to match a Harry Potter theme nicely). I will try and upload a picture showing the gargoyle and book in their places. I would recommend these decor items.Very good in quality. The book has an open bottom, so you can't prop it anywhere you'll see that part, also if you have it at an angle you'll want to block the back so fish don't get back there. The Gargoyle also has a hole in the back, but it can be filled with gravel and rocks if you want to. The packaging isn't great both mine were intact, though detached from their spots (they are held down with glue). The glue was easy to take off the gargoyle but a pain with the book. Overall the items are nice and of the quality you'd hope for the price.Buy Hydor H2Show Magic World - Gargoyle and Book Decoration Combo Pack Now

EcoPlus 2 Air Pump, 2 Outlets
I have been using the air pump continuously for about a month without issues. Puts out an impressive flow for the power consumption and low cost. The flow can be varied over a wide range. Seems to be well manufactured. It would be nice if there was an easy way to attach an inlet tube to the intake on the pump to draw dry air into a high humidity environment from outside of the humidified zone in my application.I've had it for about a month now with no problems. About as quite as I could ask for. I like the ability to adjust the air flow. I do wish I could turn off one of the ports, since I only need one.

The air pump on our 1 gallon tank quit after about six months. I've been itching to set up a 5 gallon tank we have. It comes with a filter but I thought a 6" stone would be a nice effect. I was initially concerned when ordering because a review writes about this unit not generating enough air for that size stone. Well, I hooked both tanks up and at the LOWEST setting, the 6" stone in the 5 gallon tank emits a maelstrom! I'm going to try servicing both tanks with a t-bar off ONE of the outlets to see if I can end up with a gentler effect. Will advise if this works, but in the interim, my impression is that this pump is probably best suited to a tank that's > 20 gallons. It is a very sturdy unit and is about the size of 4 sticks of butter. It seems quite quiet at the lowest setting and not much louder at the highest.I like that this is a sturdy and it came in handy when the other one went out . These work for a very long time. The most powerful pump I've ever bought for that price. The pressure control valve makes it convenient for increasing and decreasing the volume of bubbles in the tank. It's quiet, sturdy with an attractive appearance. Highly recommend this pump.Nutrafin Turtle Clean Biological Habitat Cleaner - 8.4 oz
I've been using this for several months now and feel that it really helps keep down algae and waste accumulation in my turtle tank. I have 2 young RES and my tank stays clean for a longer time and has cut down on water changes. I recommend this product!Plus, this is a great deal from Amazon compared to buying it from your local store. This bottle is larger and costs less!If you are looking for some magic solution to the smell of a turtle tank, let me tell you right now--it ain't out there.
BUT, this product definitely helps a lot when you put a little in every time you add some water (and water conditioner, of course!). It reduces the smell by at least 30-40%, I'd estimate.
It's not a perfect solution, but turtles are messy creatures and we love their charm and friendliness.
Get a good canister filter, some BIG goldfish, so big that your turtle can't eat them, to help clean the tank, do regular water change-outs, and rinse your filters weekly. That'll help more than anything else. Don't think that a little Bio-floss filter like you'd use for a fish tank of an equivalent size is gonna cut it.
Need a suggestion on filters? We like our Rena Filstar XP2 for the big tank with a red-eared slider and we are happy with our recent purchase of a Marineland H.O.T. (hang-on-tank) magnum 250 for the smaller ones. Every filter has its drawbacks so research carefully.

This stuff works wonders on the Turtle Tank Smell. It will help you go a lot longer between full water changes. I have been using this stuff for a little over 5 years and my Turtles Carapace is between 6 and 7 inches so she produces ample waste. Every time I run out of the stuff my wife complains about the smell so I know it works. Also don't use gravel....Use river rocks it help the waste sink below and will dull your turtles nails a little. If I had to make one complaint is that the 8.4oz bottle is too small.

If you are an aquatic turtle owner, you know all about cleaning up after turtles. I own three adult YBS in a 125 gallon tank. My filter is a Rena Filstar XP4 made for a tank twice that size, and it still struggles to keep up with the waste these turtles put out. Before I discovered this product, I cleaned the filter every other week. Since using the Habitat Cleaner, that's gone to once a month. Sometimes longer, depending on how lazy I am.There are basically two benefits to this liquid product. The first is that it drastically cuts down on the "fishy" odor coming from your tank. This is noticeable within a few days. The second is that it breaks down biological turtle waste (feces, for the less sensitive,) into an odorless uniform sludge. As unappealing as that sounds it makes your filter work better as the sponges and other media can capture that sludge, and it makes cleaning a much less horrifying process. When you rinse out your sponges you will not be assaulted by any unpleasant odor, it's akin to washing mud off a shoe.
I highly recommend the use of this product. I usually add a capful whenever I top off my tank.

I bought this tank for my newly purchased betta Kane. It caught my eye at another retailer and I grabbed it. Setting this tank up was easy, it looked nice and Kane seemed to like it. Now to the.. pros and cons list.Pro
affordable
nice looking
strong air pump with provided splicer/air gauge
Con
kind of small, only 1 gallon
the LED light is in the water, and there is no shut off option for the lights short of unplugging it
very little room for plants or decorations once you put the filter in
filter door is flimsy, kept falling off..
oh yea.. AND MY FISH DIED.
Now, his death is still a mystery.. my cat had a wet paw and he was gone. The clear lid sort of snaps into place on the tank, nice.. and it was firmly on. However, the 'feeding' hole is exposed with no cover, and is over 1 inch in diameter. That leaves ample room for a hopping fish.. or hungry cat.. to cause problems.
The filter lid is only held on by a flimsy hinge and kept popping off.. no biggie, but kind of annoying. Also the filters need to be replaced like every 2 weeks, which is a little often, but needed.
the LED light is beautiful, it really is.. also makes it next to impossible to see your fish unless they glow in the dark. It does take up a fair bit of space in the bottom of the tank, so makes placing plants very difficult to say the least.
The air pump is strong, super strong.. so strong in fact, I had to keep the pressure dialed down on both the airstone/light and the filter to keep poor Kane from getting thrown around his tank.
All in all, I'll probably use it again if I decide to get another fish. Right now I'm sort of fed up with it and the whole vanishing fish ordeal that I might look into something better, or at the very least.. tape over that feeding hole to keep my cats from getting nosy again. Two electric cords, two plastic tubes all coming out of the top of the small tank. Very messy!!! Also no where to put the filter motor. Very messy for a desk top. Cords and tubes everywhere.

Now I like reviewing fish equipment and this time I got to review this tank. I have to say it is pretty good tank over all with the exception that it needs a light as the bubbler is insufficient.Ok first the whisper air pump, true to it's name as it is the quietest pump I've ever not heard. ;) Now the filter, it's good but a little noisy as it likes to "gurgle". Fianlly the tank itself is like I said alright, it has a small footprint so it's good for a desktop. The lid does have a tendency to no close completely but unless you're keeping something that move it it's nothing to worry about.
Now I could go into what you should or shouldn't keep in it but I'm not you. I'm keeping feeder snails and a plant in it and it is serving it's purpose exceedingly well for me. So overall I give it 5 stars, it would be 4 1/2 for the bad lid but I'll bump it up because it's not that big a issue.

I must start by saying this is my second attempt on a betta tank. First tank was "recommended" by the pet store clerk and was a small cheap tank no frills. My First fish lasted 2 months in that tank. Unfortunately, cleaning can be difficult with the smaller cheap tanks, and my betta died. :( So my next trip to the pet store I was more prepared. I shelled out big bucks buying a new fish, tank, rocks, filters, thermometer, decorations etc. It took me about 45 mins to get the tank set up and water temp right. I put my betta in a bag and let him float in the water to acclimate him to the water temp. But, once I let him out of the bag, the current from the bubble/filter system was too strong for the little guy. So I shut the bubbles/filter off completely. Making the whole point of buying this particular tank pointless. I wanted a filter so I could clean the tank less then every 5-7 days. I want to take good care of my fish but I'm also busy and don't have time to clean a fish tank every 5 days. If you're the looking for easy maintenance skip this tank. Also, after doing more research online, most sites say that betta fish should be kept in a minimum of 5 gallons with a filter and a heater. I guess with a larger tank the current isn't so strong and the fish can thrive. I fully commit when I purchase a pet and try to give them the best quality of life. I'm extremely disappointed since I spent nearly $60 plus dollars all together and will have to go back and purchase another tank. Maybe this is a good tank for another type of fish? Not so great for betta owners.biOrb Easy Plant - 2 Pack Large
I love this brand and type of plant for my aquarium. Our local pet store only carries the small and medium, so when I found the large online I ordered immediatly. They are the best and I will continue to purchase this brand. However, with in 2 hrs of having the plants in the tank our pleco became entangled in the grass like plant (it is made poorly and left with jagged edges) and cut up his fins very badly. The wider leaf plant is perfect though. They were a little bigger than I had anticipated but can be cut down to proper size, which I'm fine with.
To me, they looked like they were supposed to be a neon green, which was what I was looking for. They turned out a typical green color.
Other than color, they're nice.

I put them in my regular (not biOrb) 30 gal tank and they look beautiful against my white gravel and blue background. They are definitely brighter than regular plastic plants. The heavy weights at the bottom are an amazing innovation, just dropped them in and nothing floats back up! But I still had to get into the water to cover them with the gravel though. They are long enough to reach almost top of the water, my tank is about 20 inches in height. Absolutely recommend it to anyone.Read Best Reviews of biOrb Easy Plant - 2 Pack Large Here

One plant has long, skinny leaves that resemble long grass. One plant has long, broader leaves that are about 3/4" wide.
These plants are long enough to go all the way to the top of the BiUbe, slightly poking out of the water.
It really looks nice to include one set of Large plants in the BiUbe along with smaller plants.
I placed the plant that resembles grass underneath the feeding hole.
When I drop floating food pellets in the feeding hole, they stick to the grass and my fish seem to enjoy eating the pellets off the grass...but who knows?...
TrueLumen 36-Inch TrueLumen Pro LED Strip Light, Marine Fusion 12K White/Actinic Blue Combo with Ca
The light intensity, color and results with my fish and corals are perfect. Installation and size are also outstanding. Great product and cost.I have an old SunPac compact flourecent lighting fixture that I used for years on a 46 gallon heavily planted tank. It wasn't until I purchased and setup a new 50 gallon acrylic tank that I was reluctant to lay my 90 watt compact flourecent lighting fixture on top of the acrylic so I looked into the TrueLumen which is also manufactured by SunPac. I have a freshwater partially planted tank and wanted a lighting affect that wasn't just a brighter-then-bright-blinding-white so I chose the combination blue/white strip that was recommended for marine tanks however this exceptional LED fixture is keeping my few real plants thriving! I'm so pleased with the lovely cool color this fixure puts out. I'm also soooo pleased that the LED fixture only consumes 23 watts! These things are also water proof!!! I'm planning on purchasing another one of these LED's soon. I highly recommend this product, you won't be disappointed. Oh the only complaint I have is the power line comes out of the strip in the very back of the strip instead of the side of the strip so if you have a canopy hood with little wiggle room you may need to carve out a little room to accomodate the power line or else it may wear away and expose the wires over time if you find yourself with a really tight fit. Mine has held up just fine so far but I sometimes wonder if it might stop working one day.Exotic Environments Split Shipwreck Aquarium Ornament, Large, 11-Inch by 5-Inch by 4-1/4-Inch
This ornament looks a lot better in the picture than it does in person. The green is kinda ugly in person compared to what it looks like online. Its more of a dark grayish-green. The ship and everything else is also not as colorful as in the picture but the shipwreck still has great detail to it, just in darker colors. I like the ornament but I wish they would use a truer picture for it.1st, this is not a "Large" Aquarium piece at all. 2nd, the measurements are more like 10.5"x3"x4 1/4", and 3rd, the coloring is NOTHING like the photo. The "Rum" words are barely made out, the green is very dark, not light, and the overall painting is dark and dismal, not that of any aquarium piece. I feel very taken by this listing, and am glad to be able to return. I would in no way recommend this unless you have a small aquarium, 10 gallons or less, and do not like color involved.Live the looks but for the price it was small looks bad in my 55gollan tank looks bigger in picAPI Safe and Easy Aquarium Spray, 8-Ounce
Most specifically I find when using this product to clean something slanted or vertical it is best to drape a paper towel on whatever it is and spray the paper towel through to it. Let it "soak" as directed on the bottle for a few minutes, then make sure you wipe it off with a *wet* paper towel/cloth/what-have-you as directed on the bottle. When I use it this way it works wonders on the hard water 'crust' on the glass canopy, light cover, filter cover, miscellaneous. I love this product!I did find that when I didn't follow those exact instructions (i.e., surface was not in contact with solution while the 3 minutes was going on, it was left there long enough to evaporate or drip off, or I wiped the solution off with a dry paper towel/cloth) it was singularly unimpressive. But hey, that's what directions are for. ^_^ After using this product twice I would have to say that it does not work. You are supposed to leave the solution on for 3 minutes before washing items and I did this the 1st time, the 2nd time I left the solution on longer and I still have hard water stains and salt build up. I honestly get a better clean from using dishsoap.

Bought this to be able to keep the glass on my turtle tank cleaner. It works to a certain degree but not anywhere near as well as I had hoped. I clean the filters and tank every Sunday so it's not like water has a chance to build up for long. We're also on very well filtered creek water so there are no chemicals, chlorine or anything else in our water. It is crystal clear. And maybe not.Jardin Plastic Aquarium Fish Tank Floating Grass Plant Decoration, 4.1-Inch, Green
I ordered this "mound of light green grass" because I needed natural looking ground cover and it looked like a good value. The picture shows different heights in the bush and mine is pretty much level. However, it is a tremendous value. It is very nice looking and well put together. The craftsmanship is high quality and it makes a beautiful decoration for my tank. I have dark gravel and a dark grass colored background. The color of the bush really brightens up my tank. I am very pleased with this product and will most likely purchase more of these in the future as I develop more tanks. This grass decoration is fairly nice. The grass is very bright when first bought but goes into a more natural looking color after a month or so. I got this for my 50 Gallon tank and I placed it next to a rock to make a little hiding spot in between for my smaller fishes. All my fish love using it so it works great as a good hiding place. The only thing I didn't like was how the base was made. It is hard to get it to fit tightly into my gravel but it is heavy enough to stay where it needs. Overall a great piece but a bit expensive.
Please let me know if my review was helpful. Thanks!

This looks really good in my tank, its easy to clean and doesn't fall apart when being cleaned. It did smell REALLY bad when I first got it. I tried cleaning excessively, etc. but the smell stayed. When I cleaned my tank for the first time since adding the plant, the smell was completely gone.I have bought 3 of these so far. I need to get 1 more. Usually, fish grass is a pain in the butt to put in your tank because it is flmsy and cheaply made. Not this grass. The base is nice and heavy. I would say it is about 6 inches long (not the base but the end of the grass to the other end). The grass is full, brightly colored, and just lush looking. The best part is how it protects fish babies. Fish in general tend to find a save place to give birth in the tank and all mine go for this grass. The babies are save inside and underneath. Big fish cannot poke their mouths in there. My friend liked mine so much she bought 4 for her tanks.

I got these for my fluval edge aquarium. They look really nice in the aquarium and very life like. They will give my guppy fry many places to hide to keep from being eaten.
I siliconed these to the bottom of my aquarium before adding gravel and water, so they will stay put, and not
float up.
I would recommend these for anyone who wants a life like tank without the hardship of taking care of real plants, and that want a good place for their fry to hide.
