The leaves were a lot smaller than I had anticipated but being that i got the Large, it was a lot of plant. The only problem with it was the suction cup. it didnt want to stick at first and it was really annoying but (it may sound gross) after applying some saliva its actually kind of difficult to remove. my cornsnake absolutely loves it
The pieces were small to medium to big sizes which is good. The stone itself had good shape as well.
When I ordered this I was under the assumption that this was an aquatic like shelf. Was very excited to spice it up with some plant decortion and allow my fish a place to explore. However, the only consern I have with this product is how sharp all the edges are. WOW! Like really sharp and I have fancy tailed gold fish with the large fan tails, so I can't put this in my tank, due to their fragile fis. Otherwise this is a nice product, offers a varity of options on how to put in your tank.

Just bought this for my turtles and was really let down. I was hoping to create an underwater resting area for my turtles, but the edges were so sharp, and i didn't want to damage their skin. It's okay. I have red and black gravel and thought that the color would add to the scheme of the tank. But it really doesn't. It's not a bad item, but it really looks fake and I hide it among other decorations to improve its appearance. It may come out if I see that it detracts from the overall look of the tank. I have a dual-socket fixture in my 58 gallon bowfron Penn Plax aquarium. I use one of these bulbs along with an 18000 Kelvin (blue wavelength) spectrum bulb. This combination gives great illumination with a pleasing color balance. Using just the daylight spectrum by itself is rather dull in my opinion.

Ok so I admit I'm no expert on fish care in general*maybe* this tank would work for a small, sturdy goldfish or something. But I have owned two bettas now, and have a tendency to do a lot of research so from what I can tell, this tank would be inhumane to house a betta fish. Betta fish need two gallons MINIMUMbest is 3-5 or even more. Theyre tropical tooso a tank heater is a must unless your house averages 75 degrees anyway, and I dont see how you could easily stick one in there. Also a filter, unless you wanna do weekly water changes. Just no. Please do the right thing and dont buy this with the intent to stick a living animal in there.

I bought 2... the penguin and the elephant... this for my classroom and the children love that the little goldfish are in the belly!! Definitely recommend for any child!! I'm already thinking who's birthday is next to get this for them! It has an air pocket in the back for oxygen, recordable message button (which is super cool), night light (in the neck of the animal), bow to make it boy or girl, rocks, and fake plant. I really loved this idea!! I read other reviews about the tank not staying clean... Well, it's a basic tank with messy fishit does not have a filter. You DO need to clean it. I lean mine once a week or as needed if they are messier one week. Im going to be looking into adding real plants and an oxygen tube.

I like this pump. I've had it for some time now. I seems to be holding up well and it is pretty quiet for output. I have it driving one large 4" air stone at about 20" depth. It puts out a nice wall of bubbles. I like that it is adjustable too. I have used that feature too. Better than other cheap diaphram pumps I've used. This is the quietest little pump I've ever owned. Also one of the cheapest ! I used this in an Aerogarden spacesaver when the original airpump went out. The Elite spacesaver is obsolete, but this was better than a replacement. This is an upgrade! Adjustable airflow is nice for my application too. I have owned many aquariums & I can tell it would also be great for that.
I would designate these a child's toy for pretend play without water. As an ornament for an outdoor pond, these are pretty useless. Compared to real goldfish, they are about 50% the size. In the product information, it says "Attached weights position fish in any depth aquarium." This is the main reason I purchased these fish. There is no such thing in the fish I received. They float on the surface with the dorsal fin above water, like a shark, or after a short time sink to the bottom. They are cute, and nicely made. Shipping was quick, and from Hong Kong, about the only place in the world that has these.

I was looking for a more reliable heater than those I had over the years. The 5 year warranty and favorable reviews on the E300 seemed to fit the bill. The product has been very disappointing. I have a 180 gallon tank that has 2 canister filters; one filter has a 220watt in-line heater. I have always used a second heater to heat this tank, which is in a room that sometimes drops into the low 60's. The filter's heater in combination with a second 250-300watt heater has always done the job nicely. I have primarily used submersible titanium units. The last one lasted just over a year and then failed. That's when I decided to go with the E300. The product does have some nice features. The traditional glass tube is encased in a plastic slotted enclosure. That makes it safer especially with larger fish like my oscars. It also boasts sophisticated electronics with a very nice digital display window which shows current water temperature in large easier to see digits. The display glows green when temperature is within 2 degrees of the setting, blue when more than 2 degrees colder, and red if water temperature exceeds the heater's setting by more than 2 degrees. Now the negatives: The heater is not submersible and the manual calls for a 20-30 minute power off before removing or placing into service. That's not a big deal unless you do frequent water changes like I do. The heater requires placement in a current of water like the outflow of a filter. This apparently is required to dissipate the heat and allow the electronics to do their thing. If not so placed the digital display will constantly flash "LF" for low flow. Unlike conventional heaters, this one curiously does not have an indicator light to actually let you know when it is heating. That proved frustrating in trying to deal with the next point. The most disappointing aspect of the E300 is that it has proven to be a much weaker heater than any similar wattage one I have had before. As soon as I installed it, it became apparent that my secondary heater was working much harder than usual. The Fluval was in the blue mode so it should have been turning itself on. Without any indicator light, I had to wonder if it was working at all. I could only tell in complete darkness when I could see the glow from the actual heating element. To my surprise, it would glow for about 30 seconds and then go dark for over 2 minutes and then glow for 30 seconds again. This was while the water temperature was several degrees below the set temperature on the heater. I had to wonder if this was a malfunction. I called Hagen (Fluval parent company) customer service and was only told generic stuff: unplug and let it sit for 20 minutes then restart it, make be sure it's clean, etc. When that didn't help, I used their on-line help. They were very prompt in answering my emails but never addressed my question as to whether these 30 second bursts of 'on' with much more 'off' time in between was normal. They did offer to exchange my heater. I paid for shipping it to them and got a new heater within the same week. While without it, my other heater easily kept my water temperature at a steady 75 for several days. I put the new heater in, and set it for 78.5 and later 80.5. I didn't change anything else, basically asking the E300 to raise the temperature a few degrees. The best it can do is increase the temperature to 76-77 degrees, constantly showing it's blue display to confirm it is incapable of reaching it's setting. Doing my sitting in the dark observations, the 30 second pulses are identical to the first unit. I can only conclude that the 300 watts of claimed power are drastically restrained by fancy electronics that seem designed to give pulse heating. Any other similarly powered heater would stay on until much higher temperatures were reached. (I used to have discus in this tank and easily kept 84 degrees.)My next heater will likely be a titanium submersible.Want Fluval E Electronic Heater Discount?
I've used at least 6 brands of heaters over the years, and this Fluval wins hands down.
The biggest problem I have with the G6 is that it only has one chamber for chemical media, so I purchased the TRI-EX cartridge. The picture shows three different media. I assumed the cart would be a three chambered one, but it is not. The three chemical medias are mixed together in one chamber. The downside of all the G-6 chemical cartridges, aside from being pricey, is Fluval's recommendation that they be swapped out every 14 days. The G6 is rated to manage aquariums from 80 160 gallons, so I am assuming the 14 day change is geared towards a reasonably stocked 80 -160 gallon tank. Since mine is a reasonably stocked, heavily planted 50 gallon tank, I have pushed my carts to 21 days. So far the water quality checks out fine. I plan to push to 4 weeks and also experiment with some of my favorite medias to replace the Fluval media when the carts are exhausted. The carts are reusable which is nice. After carefully removing the bottom cap and cleaning them, they can be refilled with fresh media. Naturally, Fluval suggests their media is optimized for the G6. They do not say other media will not work, they prefer you buy their product. All in all, the carts are easy to work with, and the TRI-EX does filter with carbon and media to remove nitrate and phosphate.

Presently on a 200 gal. tank containing two 12 in. koi and fifteen 4 in. asssorted golds. Working great! Will buy another shortly for another tank.So I had big plans for these filters. Originally I had bought two to put directly into the bottom of a 220 gallon plywood tank but those plans fell through. The tank ended up leaking and I don't have time to fix it before I leave the country for 2 months. So I set both of these bad boys up on my 40 gallon tank with two messy turtles in it. I have a cascade 1000 on that tank that has done a decent job for its work load but it couldn't never keep the water crystal clear. It doesn't have enough current to push debris up from the tank floor towards the power head on the other side. Once I added the SunSun's, there was so much pressure moving the water it completely rearranged the substrate in the tank even pushing golf ball sized rocks out of the way. Pretty spectacular amount of water these things can push. Now any particles are quickly pushed around the tank in the water column instead of resting on the substrate and pushed into 1 of the 3 filter heads I have. I spent a few minutes just watching tiny particles speed from one end of the tank to the other straight into the intake hoses like they were magnetic! My water looks clearer than I'd ever seen it! and hopefully the UV lights keep it from never turning green. I just hooked this canister filter up yesterday and I have to say I am quite impressed considering the price. Build quality of the filter is excellent, although the basket handles and pipes are a little flimsy but I am sure if you don't "manhandle" them they will hold up just fine. It is powerful and extremely quiet, the canister needs to be filled 3/4 full of water to make priming quick and easy. If it is noisy check the impeller (as is the case with all filters) and for leaks (there should not be any bubbles visible in the tubing. Lube all the o-rings and pipe fittings with vaseline or pool filter lube to prevent air leaks. Priming while it is running can help remove excess bubbles from the system. (I did my homework before purchasing this).
Bought these from a different store and without the electronic timer built into the light. I have one of those power center strips with timers that automatically control the light periods so I didn't need timers on the lights for a freshwater tank. I have had these lights for almost two years. I have a 45 gallon planted tank with Fluval Stratum and CO2. These really put out a lot of light I have two lamps which means 4 x 39 watts over 45 gallons. I swapped out the light bulbs for Geisemann bulbs based on feedback from some planted tank online forums. The lights work well if I could have afforded it two years ago, I would have gone LED however. Couple of things to note the lights sit low over the top of the tank. You really cannot fit two banks of lights with a Marineland dual power wheel filter because the lights will hit the top of the filter. There is not much clearance between the top of the tank and the lights so if you're like me and stick your hands in the tank frequently to drop in vegetable foods, move around plants, trim plants, etc. you can barely get your hand under the lights and in the tank. Ditto for trying to fit a gravel suction cleaner in the tank. For those tasks, it's easier just to temporarily move the lights off the tank. Also, my glass cover on the tank is no longer able to flip upso I removed the hinge and now just lift off the glass section to feed the fish. The lights also get hot (even though they are fluorescent) so if you're sticking your hands in the tank, you will get close to the hot bulbs and you'll feel the heat. Not enough to burn your arm but it's still very warm. Like the look of the lights, performance has been excellent my plants grow like crazy (helps to have CO2). Been happy with these.

I've owned this item for a few months now and have absolutely no complaints at all. It fires up quickly, lights the tank well and has more than doubled the plant growth in my tank. I wasn't sure if I'd like the roseate bulb, but I've been pleasantly surprised. I'm not sure if I'll replace it with another roseate when it dies yet, but so far I can say that I notice a difference in the coloring of the fish from the bulb. Much brighter reds/oranges. Finally upgraded and bought my second light fixture. The main reason for me buying this brand is because of the ability to link up to three fixtures. Linking the two fixtures wasn't that easy though. It was very hard to line up the screws took me a hr to get things up and rolling. Other than that they work perfectly. They do not get hot and the bulbs that come with them is bright and grows my plants beautifully. I have them set up on timers the front two bulbs are on for three hrs. Love this light, but they didn't include instructions with it to explain how to put the brackets on. Let me help you with that...first you must remove the side panel (unscrew several small screws) and a small metal bar (remove screws) that is immediately within it, then slide the legs on into the grove and screw those parts back on. Also, once the end cap is off, you can remove the plexiglass and must remove a thin sheet of protective plastic wrap from both sides. Other than that, this product is really nice. I'm using it for a freshwater planted tank, without issues...

I know the directions say to put these on the bottom basket, I found they clog in about a week if you put them there. I have a 240g with 25 2"-4" community fish, a pleco and a fire eel. Three won't fill the basket as they are meant to be used with the water pads. I notice some people try putting one over a bio basket, another or floss, etc. and get the same filtration with less clogging. You'll know when it clogs because your flow goes to nothing. The best results I've had is with floss only on the top basket , bio (Fluval brand) on the bottom two baskets. These work wonderfully in the Fluval FX5 a long time ehiem fan for over 35 years I've been using these filters for larger tanks (up to 300 gal.) in pairs and they're incredibly effective especially for messy fish. Of course, nothing "polishes" the water like a Vortex Diatom Filter which can filter out debris and pathogens down to one micron in size but these are supplementary filters meant only to be used once in a while.
