I just received it so I have not seen this color combination yet in a tank. However, this plant is full and should look real nice.
This net is a bit on the smallish size... suitable for tetras and barbs, fish an inch or maybe two. I expected something a bit larger. On the positive side, it looks well made, the telesoping feature was very useful in my 70 gallon tank, and the triangular shape is good for snagging fish that hide in corners. For the price paid (about $10) I'm not dissapointed, but I wouldn't spend any more on this product.
sometimes it has a hard time staying at the bottom of the aquarium but other than that looks pretty nice.

If you can't be bothered to hatch your own brine shrimp, this is an excellent alternative. Its an excellent food for baby fish and smaller adults. I like it for tanks that have lots of babies and adults. The food scatters broadly and floats around in the water instead of staying at the top or falling to the bottom. The advantage of this is that it allows everyone (except for maybe bottom feeders) a good chance to get at the food. Since the adults have to work so hard to eat a lot, the babies get a chance at the food. Everyone gets very happy, much happier than brine shrimp flakes. While expensive, if one isn't wasteful, it does last quite awhile.

I loved the product you are not suposed to try and hatch it as someone else posted on a review. You just get an 1/8 of a teaspoon or so and scatter them in the water, the fish readily eat them and as someone else stated they stay suspended and scatter around the tank, allowing all occupants to eat. I have a nonprofit org. where I collect and refurbish aquariums and put them in schools and nursery's. I also stock the aquariums I install with fish and monitor them (clean, water change, check fish for sickness) for the first year of installation. To cut down on my cost I now breed the fish I am using and they (the fish) loooooove this product. It does not cloud the tank and it's perfect for my fish fry.
We recently orded 2 sets of bulbs. One set from another company was not packaged well and came to us completely broken. However, this MarineandReef's packaging was superb! It was packaged with brown paper to keep them from rattling around and the bulbs were also wrapped in bubble wrap. I have already ordered two more bulbs from them (to replace the other broken ones).

It was pretty easy to assemble, the netting goes right over everything except the sucker parts. the sucker parts though you have to really push to get them on, then when you get them on you have to press them onto the tank really well or else the hatchery will sink and your frog might get in and eat all your baby fish... then when its time to get out the remaining survivors of the frog attack its really difficult because the suckers wont detatch. Overall though, its a pretty good product and if you lower your water level a little then you'll be fine.
I hate to say it, but some of these reviews just leave me shaking my head (no, this didn't kill your fish, and no, the review area of amazon isn't for reviewing a certain seller's packing method).

I very disappointed in the packaging for this item. It was not sealed and most of the contents leaked out and onto other items in the box. So I paid for a wet box and very little product.
I was very worried about buying this product. Everything has to be perfect for this product to work. The Aqueon product line of tanks are well designed. This accessory is worth the money. Do not go out to the hardware store and try to build your own version. I know have a beautiful Marine tank. The price is high, but the product is excellent.

The connections on the bottom of the tank could be smaller, the ones that come with it are for 1 3/4 inch hose going to the filter (who uses a connection that big?) We bought this as a first aquarium for our household. All of the parts included have worked great, and the instruction book has been really helpful, from the set-up to the adding of fish. The bottle of starter is only enough to treat the aquarium once though, so you might want to order a second bottle (the stuff that adds the beneficial bacteria) for water changes.

The packaging on this item was horrible. It was shipped with absolutely no protection, not even packing paper. That's right ... just a glass aquarium (or what was left of it), with all the accessories thrown inside, in a box. No wonder it arrived shattered. I understand there is a risk when ordering breakable items online, but this was just careless. It was also dangerous to my children, who (excited about their new fish pet) were opening the package with me, until tiny glass shards started raining down and I had to shoo them away. I didn't rate this at 5 Stars because the box was really beat up that the actual aquarium was in. My aquarium didn't arrive shattered. I have it up and running right now and am really love it. The motor on the filter is super quiet and I had to look to see if it was even working. I love that there is a protective coating on the switch to turn the light on. The only thing I didn't like was that the aquarium glasses are not perfectly put together. I was scared about this until I looked online and saw that there is some shifting after the pieces of glass are glued together. I will update this if I have anything else to say. I have yet to add my plants, fish and shrimp. I am doing a bit of fishless cycling but the book says that I don't have to because it comes with beneficial bacteria. The book that it comes with is AMAZINGLY BENEFICIAL! This is a perfect starter aquarium because it comes with everything! I'm EXTREMELY happy with this purchase. Although it's only been a few weeks, this filter works GREAT! I've had my 2000 gal. pond for several years, and after using this filter it's the clearest it's ever been.
