Jardin Simulated Pointed Leaves Aquarium Plastic Plant, 8.3-Inch, Purple/Blue
SeaView Aquarium Background Mounting Solution
Great product; It works by locking out air in between the background picture and the aquarium.I bought this mounting solution to adhere a stunning background River Rock/Sea of Green Reversible Background 24"to my son's new fish tank, a gift for his eighth birthday.
PROS
PRODUCT DELIVERS: Amps the background picture significantly: picture appears more believable, and the colors super bright. I don't think the background would give the same effect by my simply taping the background to the back of the tank.
MARKET MONOPOLY: The only product I know of out there like it
EASY APPLICATION: I expected a gooey, overly-sticky consistency, sort of like wallpaper paste or contact paper adhesive and braced myself for the torture of applying it, but its texture is not sticky at all, really: it's almost like a liquid silicone. I had no problem smearing it on the background and it wasn't so sticky that it stuck together or tried to stick folds of the aquarium background together.
Does not produce the toil and agony that super-sticky contact paper inflicts.
CONS
BEWARE OF THE BUBBLES!: This cost it a star on its rating. While the consistency is not bad, the challenge is fighting those tricky little air bubbles. Unfortunately, I did not see the bubbles until I had the ENTIRE tank filled and installed, complete with decorations, LED spotlights, filter tubes positioned, and a super-cool volcano positioned and installed with suction cups. There needs to be a warning about that somewhere in the product info, like: WARNING: THE BUBBLES ARE NOT VISIBLE UNTIL THE TANK IS LIT.
And I didn't just slap the adhesive on there, either. I carefully applied the gel and I used a squeegee to firmly press all the bubbles out like the directions suggest. It looked great--without the lights on. I filled the tank and put it all together, turned on the LED hood light and bam! a swarm of little black air bubbles appeared.
The bubbles aren't permanent; you can work them out toward the edges. However, it IS tedious and not so easy to work them out, especially when you have to contort yourself around to the back of a filled tank.
Exhausted from putting an entire fish tank together, I worked out the largest bubbles, but left the smaller ones until the next time I change the tank. They kind of give the illusion of little shadows of fish swimming deep in the water anyways, and the bubbles aren't so obvious that they obscure or ruin the view of the background. It is just annoying because I know they are there.
Would I buy this product again? Yeah, it's worth the money. It's the only product out there like it, and made the tank look way more bright, and believable. Cool product.I have tried this product several times and I always start getting streaks in a couple of days. I have even changed backgrounds and could not keep it smooth. After some research I switched over to an adhesive background

This product works as advertised so I gave it 3 stars. I'm pretty sure its just mineral oil or something similar. I used mineral oil on a second tank and it performed the job just as well. The mineral oil cost me $4 for a pint which makes this product 16x more expensive.Read Best Reviews of SeaView Aquarium Background Mounting Solution Here
I was a little skeptical when I received this item, but this stuff is GREAT! I first taped my background to the aquarium to ensure I got the exact size I needed and was bummed that it looked extremely DULL. Once I got the gel applied and the background in place, I was amazed at how brilliant the aquarium looked. I did not find Sea View difficult to apply in the least. It did take a little time to smooth the air bubbles, but with the aquarium light on, it was very easy to see which areas needed work from behind without having to go to the front repeatedly to check where I needed to smooth next. I used a plastic ruler and kept a rag handy to wipe the gel that came out around the edges as I smoothed the background out. I am very satisfied with the end result. I did not have any trouble with the background coming off, but I did follow the instructions and rolled my background the opposite direction it was curling (and left it for a few hours) to ensure it was flat and ready to apply. The gel is odorless and wipes up easily. Would buy again and again =) The picture on the package was exactly what my aquarium looked like before and after.Want SeaView Aquarium Background Mounting Solution Discount?
If there is a Petco near you check it out first. Their price (at least here in FL) was $4.99. Didn't see this product the first time I went there to look for it, but they had it there yesterday and felt foolish for paying over $8.00 (well, to be fair, that included 2-day UPS shipping). The product itself was decent; did the job, not overly messy and not overly easy, either (squeezing out bubbles with a ruler and cleaning up ooze from the product around the tank was expected, but took me longer than I had anticipated). My suggestion is to try using mineral (or olive?) oil, as someone previously suggested, first, or some alternative with that type of viscosity.
My tank's background is about 36" x 18" and there was enough to adhere it to my tank, but *very* little left over (one-time use only). If/when I decide to switch out the background, I'll have to buy another tube, but again, I think I'd try a less expensive alternative first and see how that goes.

I just put over some stones and looks great. I recomend this decoration, is really really good. Tetra 26331 Whisper EX Carbon Filter
I purchased these filters for ease of use, because I need someone to watch my fish while I'm away. Just pitch it and install the new one. The only reason I only rated this filter bag a 4 is if you don't mind taking a few minutes to pour in the charcoal and rinse, the box of 12 un assembled filters are about the same price as these 4. These ones are custom cut to better fit my filter 'holder', but the un assembled ones are more squared off at the bottom. They don't fit quite perfectly, yet they still work just fine.Use this filter since i bought a 20 gallon hexagon tank.Does a great job for what i want.Buy Tetra 26331 Whisper EX Carbon Filter Now

After some research I found that a fish tank needs active carbon filters so I purchased this box at an awesome piece, they came in quickly, and with in 2 days of installation my water is clear again! These are brand name Tetra filters that do a great job keeping small tanks clean, and they're significantly cheaper than what I'd been paying at my local pet shop.SeaClear Bowfront Aquarium Combo
I purchased this combo directly through PetCo. The tank looks awesome set up and is very sturdy and easy to clean. The hood for it however is not well made and the light bulb slips out easily when light is picked up to feed or clean the tank. I have an Oscar that regularly hits the top of the tank and hood and knocks it so the light bulb itself slides out and goes off. The screws don't tighten enough to hold the bulb in and the bulb itself doesn't lock in place like most fluorescent tank bulbs. I ended up getting a separate light strip to use and that works well.Laguna Service Kit for Pressure-Flo 700 Pressurized Pond Filter

Aquatic Life Light T5 HO 4-Lamp 2-Lunar Aquarium Light, 30-Inch
I am using this light with a planted fresh water tank and it puts out a lot of light. The instructions are easy to understand and the programming pretty intuitive--it is about as good as it gets. The fixture is easy to mount, and sits securely on the tank. It comes with some bulbs that for freshwater purposes need to be replaced. It is a top notch unit and for my purposes is essentially flawless. I would not hesitate to recommend it.
Big Al's shipping was fast and efficient.
Addendum:
It is now a little over a year since the light was purchased. Two weeks ago, I noticed some problems with the LED light and two of the four Lamps. I called Aquatic Life's customer service and they were wonderful--they diagnosed the problems and promised a replacement ballast and two LEDs. Even though it was past the warranty period, they did not charge me and I received the parts in less than one week. Very impressed with them.Very nice light. I wish it pivoted up and down so I didn't have to lift the light off of my tank all the time. The Aquaticlife bulbs that it comes with are nice, but if you really want to make your tank look awesome and give those corals the look that will impress, then go with this combo.
3-ATI Blue +
1-ATI Aquablue Special
I've had this light for around 3 months now and it does exactly what I need it to do. I have SPS, LPS and Softies growing like crazy under this fixture.
The ATI Aquablue Special has better PAR than the Aquaticlife 10K this fixture comes with. At the very least switch out the 10k bulb. You won't regret it.

I have had this light for a few weeks now. I have noticed a complete change in the life of my salt water tank. Corals are perky and showing steady growth along with invertebrates staying active all day long. I really like the lunar lights for the evening hours. Penn Plax Pro-Balance Fish Shape Vacation Feeding Blocks - 2 Per Blister card
Good Vacation Feeders for extended time away from home. Dousn't appear to cloud the water either. Couldn't find any trace of the food upon my return after 8-10 days away. These feeding blocks ruined my classroom aquarium's environment. We had a total of 10 days of spring break vacation. When I got back, the floor of the aquarium and all the plants were covered with a white debris, the water was clouded, and one fish who was visibly struggling to breath died a few days later. It took a huge amount of effort to restore the aquarium's healthy environment. I will never again use a feeding block for an extended period of time. My students and I were deeply saddened by the state of the aquarium upon our return. In the future, I will shell out the big bucks for an electric fish feeder.Buy Penn Plax Pro-Balance Fish Shape Vacation Feeding Blocks - 2 Per Blister card Now
I've just tried this product on a 3-gal. tank with 3 goldfish, leaving them for 10 days with one tablet. The good news: the fish are alive (I guess, that's what matters most). The not so good one: pretty much all surfaces of the aquarium, including the plants and the innards of the pump have been covered with rather sticky white goo which wouldn't wash off on its own without actively brushing it off. A bit of a nuisance, requiring a thorough clean-up. Next time, I am going to try an automatic feeder like EHEIM Everyday Fish Feeder Programmable Automatic Food Dispenser but it's still good to have a couple of these tablets in case of an emergency. This is a very very good item. I went out of country for over 30 days. I was almost convinced that fish will be dead by the time i am back. But I tried to give it a try. Searched for a vacation food and found this. Bought it, and just put one in my 10G tank because I was afraid adding two would over-pollute the water. And went off to India. When I came back after a month, the water was crystal clear, the fish looked perfectly healthy and none of them were dead. What a bliss. I am now always going to depend on it if I have to go on a long vacation.

We have a 20 gallon fish tank with 6 fish a varying sizes in it. We were going on vacation for 8 days and were looking for an option that would feed the fish and not gunk up the tank. After reading other reviews I decided to try Pro Balance's 14-Day feeding blocks and they were an excellent option. I placed both blocks in the tank two a day before we left just to see what would happen and how the fish would handle it. We returned for an 8 day vacation and I was pleasantly surprised to find all six fish alive and healthy and the tank was as clean as it had ever been after 8 days. I expected to find funky, cloudy water at a minimum and possibly dead fish. Neither happened and everything looked to be in great shape. I'll definitely use the Pro Balance feeding blocks for future trips.Aqueon LED Aquarium Light Fixture, 48-Inch
Amongst the LEDs I've seen for fish tank this is the cheapest option for the size and I must say its GREAT.What got me to buy this light is the fact that you can change the bulbs something I haven't seen in other brands, don't know if they work well with plants (will update in a month) but so far they are really bright and love the fact that you can switch to moonlight (can't do it by timer but not an issue for me).
Another good thing is that you can adjust the length of the stands, my tank is not standard size so 30" is to small and 48 is too big, but I adjust it and it looks fine.
The LED are encased in a plastic tube so the water wont get close to it (I still advise to close your tank if possible mine doesn't have a hood, I just use glass to cover it)
The light creates a nice shimmering effect.
I would recommend this light for anyone on a low budget. Is it better than regular bulbs? I have no idea as I never used one but at least its friendly on the electric bill
UPDATE: I promise I will update to tell you how this light works for plants and my egeria densa has grown 6 inches in 4 days, my java moss has spread like crazy through the driftwood it was planted on. So this light is appropriate for plants and I only have a single bulb, I imagine you would need the other two if your tank is too deep but as far as an LED for plants this is clearly the way to goI own this model and the 20" model, both purchased from PetsMart in the Spring/Summer of 2012. Can't say enough good about them, but that's not why I'm writing.
Soon after purchase, I learned that Aqueon had gone out of business. More specifically, that the PetsMart parent company had purchased Aqueon and planned to make their products exclusive to Petsmart stores. This bummed me out simply b/c I don't put much faith into PetsMart. For months, I scoured the nets looking for (red) Colormax LED bulbs to no avail. And every time I'd go to PM looking for bulbs, they were always sold out. I was about to put these awesome lights up for sale due simply to the fear of not being able to maintain/repair/replace them. Then, 2 days ago, I stumbled upon this page. I can't express how happy that made me.
Rejoice! Take advantage of an absolutely fine product and support it so that we can keep it around for a good while. You don't know how close we all came to not even having this innovative light as an option.
And they are great lights. 3 (daylight spectrum) bulbs, in any size frame, is almost enough light to land commercial aircraft. I run one of the lamps (with 3 bulbs) over an open top and I have no water issues b/c the LED's are sealed in tubes. I just clean the tubes along with every maintenance session. The frame is a bit bulky (not as bulky as a standard hood and light strip), but that's a fair trade for the modularity offered. The mounting feet work well, the power cord is segmented to make removal even easier, the 48" model basically weighs nothing. The ONLY drawback is the design of the power switch, which makes it useless on a timer outside of simple on/off function. The blue LED must be manually switched on. Again, small price to pay for a great and affordable light.

We bought this light for our 150 gallon tank to replace our old florescent tube light fixture. We had gotten tired of dealing with the alge that the old light created. This light is great it creates a nice white light and after two weeks no alge. We especially like the night light feature we can still see the fish but its a nice soft glow.Read Best Reviews of Aqueon LED Aquarium Light Fixture, 48-Inch Here
I have a 55g and this fits perfect over the tank. Three bulbs are installed in it; Two white and one red. Next time, I might buy one additional red but this coloring is very nice and not too bright either. The night light was not a selling feature but after having it, it is very cool!I removed the sliding arms because it caused the fixture to sit up off of the tank causing glare from the lids. The light now sits close enough that we do not notice. I do not have much of a shimmer, possibly because there isn't a strong surface disruption or maybe because the lights sits so close to the water surface.I purchased this light and an additional colormax bulb. With the two bulbs this is easily twice as bright as a standard fluorescent bulb and still uses less electricity. There is still room to expand by adding one more bulb but I think that might be overkill for my cichlid tank. I have anubias that are thriving in the tank which grew pretty well under just the included daylight bulb. I would recommend this over the standard strip light. This is well worth the extra initial cost.
Fluval 105 Canister Filter - 110V, 125 gallons per hour
About 10 years ago I was researching filters for my turtle tank because it was too difficult to do water changes with the bigger tank I bought for her (30 gal). All the reviews I read said that the Fluval x04 series filters were the best out there so I put down the money for a 104 model and never looked back. I had the Fluval 104 filter for about 10 years before the motor finally gave up last week, waaaay beyond the 3yr warranty that came with it.To be fair, the 104 was the first canister filter I had ever purchased but I was so happy with it that when it finally died, I immediately replaced it with this newer 105 model. It's super quiet, and easy to setup with the detailed instructions. The best part is how easy it is to clean, just close the aquastop system and take the filter with you to clean where it's convenient. I know this sounds like a commercial but I really love this filter; this is the first review I've ever written just because I'm that happy with it. Hopefully this one will last another 10 years at which point I'll buy another one. FYI: The tank is a 30 gal filled 2/3 with water and houses my 6" painted turtle and the occasional fish and I only clean the filter about twice a year as needed. After reading reviews for weeks to determine what kind of filter to buy I decided I wanted a canister filter. Unfortunately there aren't many affordable canister filters for small aquariums. Despite some iffy reviews on major pet store sites, this filter is absolutely perfect. The water in my tank is crystal clear and the ammonia levels are zero.
This filter has greatly decreased the amount of time I spend cleaning my tank as well. There's practically nothing to manually clean!
Included in one of those iffy reviews was a comment about leaking. I have to say that I've had no problems with this at all. When setting up the system make sure to apply the gasket and impeller cover correctly. Also, make sure you don't cut the hose too short, a little slack is fine.
Tank Size: 10 gallons
Stock: 1 Red Clawed Crab, 7 Neon Tetra, 1 Male Betta, 3 Sumatran Kuhli Loaches, 5 Cherry Shrimp (Yup, that's way too many animals in such a small tank, but they're all very healthy and happy)

Using this in my 20 gallon Nano Reef and keeps the water absolutely sparkling. A friend even commented on how it didn't look like a saltwater tank because it was "too clean". Without running a skimmer or sump/refugium, this combined with the live rock in the tank do a great job in all aspects of mechanical and biological filtration. I clean it out every couple weeks which is super fast and easy, and never have any problems with excessive nitrates from running a cannister in a reef system.Read Best Reviews of Fluval 105 Canister Filter - 110V, 125 gallons per hour Here
Wow! What a filter! We are using this filter for our Albino Red Eared Slider Turtle. Her tank holds about 25-30 gallons of water. We replace two filters with this one filter and it has been great. I used to have to turn the TV up so I could hear because of our older filters were loud. I can't hear this one unless the water level gets to low. Now it is just a reminder that I need to add water.Want Fluval 105 Canister Filter - 110V, 125 gallons per hour Discount?
