I ordered these for my at the time empty fish tank for my beta that I was getting, they were said to arrive Friday came on Thursday (which is even better since I got Surge on Thursday). The strings are adjustable which is great because I have a 10 gallon right now and the pink was to long, but you're able to wrap the string around the glass sucker to make the string shorter and it'll be unwrapped when I get my 29 gallon tank. I don't have an additional pump, at first I thought I did need since they weren't moving, but I found out that I don't need one since my bubble wall, filter, and fish make enough movement in the water for it to move and flow. Surge loves to swim thru the tentacles and shoos away the platies when they get to close. Ive also read that a few people have an issue with them sinking, but I haven't encounter that yet, but honestly it's worth it even if they do. I'll def. be ordering more whne I get a bigger tank, hopefully I can get different colors and varying sizes.

Jardin Fishing Tank 2 Way Air Pump Manifold Taps Lever Valve

I am driving 2 sponge filters from one air pump. This was supposed to split the line and look nicer than the plastic manifold I was using. With only one valve open the air flowed fine. With both open, I didn't get any flow through the manifold. I went back to the plastic manifold. I tried it on multiple pumps and no dice. Don't waste your time with this.

These are perfect gang valves to use for any aquarium set up. They're metal which is a huge plus for me versus the usual plastic. Plastic ages and gets brittle, which means breaks far more easily than when new. Metal doesn't suffer from that problem, but can rust. I doubt these are stainless steel, but rather zinc plated or similar. However, put a check valve in line and they should never come in contact with tank water, only the humidity in the air.

As you can see from the picture above there is a black rubber plug on one end, this lets you hook up additional gang values if needed.

Why use these? They let you control how much air is going to any one thing. I'm using this on a 20g tall and a standard 10g tank to run a sponge filter in each. Due to the difference in depth of these two tanks, I have to limit the air going to the 10g so that both tanks get enough to operate.

Having a single air pump with multiple tanks is desireable to keep noise down. Start putting multiple air pumps in and you'll get a racket more than one already is.

Fish do better in water that is not stagnant, therefore, adding an airstone not only increases the oxygen content of the water, but gets the water moving in a circular current. Moving water keeps debris from lodging on the bottom, and keeps the aquarium ecosystem healthier. Therefore, I purchased two 6" stones and have one at each end of my 55 gallon tank. The bubbles are fine (smaller) and give the aquarium interest. The stones attach to standard hose and run off an air pump.

I had a cylindrical sort of sponge thingy that used to emit just one plume of bubbles and was taking up valuable room in the 2-foot tank for the 5 fishes in there. This one rests on the bottom of the tank and I had to secure it with a stone. It emits a stream across almost the entire length of the stone and it's beautiful. You can see more coming out of one end rather than the other. The kids love staring at the bubbles! We'll see how long it lasts. I know these stones tend to get clogged up after a while. I'll have to do some research to see what I can do for periodic maintenance.

I just received mine and I set it up in my 10G tank and ZERO bubbles. Seems like it doesn't breath at all. I tried to scratch the surface a little bit & washed it under the tap to remove any debris... No go.

I bought several of these and use them for different reptiles. I have chameleons and a bearded dragon and it works great to keep the temperature up in there cages at night. It is too strong for my green tree python though I need the 60 watt she is in an 18x18x24 cage and it makes it too warm at night. The chameleon is in a 24x24x48 screen cage and it is perfect for it. My bearded dragon is in an 18x18x36 cage and it works great for it.

This is a truly terrible product. I bought two bulbs, with one as backup for when the first burnt out. The first one burnt out after 2 weeks, which was disappointing. I replaced the bulb with my backup, which proceeded to burn out within 1 day. By contrast, my daytime bulb, which is just a generic incandescent white bulb, is working just fine. Both are housed in the same dual dome housing, so I doubt it's a problem with the housing. I moved the white bulb to the red bulb's socket to make sure, and it worked fine. I don't know exactly what is defective about these bulbs (perhaps an improper vacuum seal), but I would stay away from them.

I have a 35 gallon plastic container that I use as a patio pond. I keep a couple of goldfish in it. The Patio Pond

De-icer works well with this small container.I have had sucess with my fish surviving through the winter. I cut back my hardy plants, dropping them to the bottom of the container and they survive the winter as well without freezing. The only draw back is that the ring will get deposit build-up and needs to be cleaned peroidically.

I have had three of these heaters. They work fine for two seasons then they short and blow the GFI.

Every spring they are coverd with slime and crud that takes scrubbing with a wire brush to clean.

I need to find something that lasts.

Ammonia spikes are quite common in fish tanks and in mine they seem to be an every day issue. This must be working despite the daily measured ammonia level in the "dangerous" range. Despite filters the ammonia level in our goldfish tank remains very high (to test strip measurements). However, the fish live as long as I add 10 cc of Ammo Lock to a 10 gallon tank daily.

Ammo-Lock is hydromethane sulfinate, it converts ammonia to ammonium. Ammonium is harmless to fish at levels found in an aquarium, but is used the same as ammonia by your nitrifying bacteria. It is also seen the same as ammonia with test strips, which give horribly inaccurate results. Sooooooo . . . the instructions summarize this: Add "recommended dose" based on tank size, add every two days until ammonia levels read zero. Check out the back of the bottle in the store, I'm not kidding.

Here's the kicker, if you convert ammonia to ammonium, and you use API ammonia test kits to check for ammonia, your ammonia levels will be off the charts despite it being "harmless". So your only method of true test at that point would be nitrites or nitrates, which if the ammonia was breaking down to nitrites or nitrates you wouldn't be having issues with ammonia. So this product might work, but you will never actually know since you can't test for it.

Here's another factor that gives it 1 star, and I see others didn't have a problem.

After adding the recommended dose to my tank (55 gallon reef), I lost my brittle star of 5 years in 48 hours, and every mushroom and polyps I had freaked out, about 1/4 of them died after a few weeks. All I wanted to do was "control" the ammonia for some spikes I was having due to adding two fish, but water changes would have been much better.

Try a different product to control your ammonia spikes, or simply do water changes frequently until its under control. This product stinks in my opinion. Thanks Amazon for the refund!

This product arrived quickly and was exactly as presented. Only time will tell if it is as efficient as promised but I have every expectation and confidence in TetraPond. I have had a less well-made product for 9 years and this new Bio Filter is even more stury and well made. So I think it will be great.

This filter requires no more than a 550 gph pump, or it will leak and the Venturi will leak, possibly. That is what is going on with mine, but I have ordered a flow control valve to restrict the input, so that should be fixed soon. Also, the outlet is a 1-1/4 inch ID fit. My original set up was all 1 inch, so I had to buy some polyurethane hose at HD for 3.46/ft.! There was nothing that size in the small pond department. I suspect this dimension can't be reduced because it would cause a back pressure. Should eventually be an effective set-up.

I chose the Tetra ClearChoice Biofilter to replace the submersible bio filter in my small pond. I wanted to eliminate the chore of pulling up the submersible to clean the filters, a task I had to do more and more frequently as the fish became more active in the summer. The submersible pump/filter had quit running, and the pond was quite cloudy by the time I installed the ClearChoice. Within two hours after installing the ClearChoice the pond was clear and I could detect no suspended matter in the pond. I have not had to clear the filter media in three weeks, and in fact when I checked there was no sign of the sludge build up I always had to clean in the submersible filter. The installation was easy and the instructions on the proper maintenance were clear and straight forward. The pump is visible, but soon the vegetation around the pond will camouflage it pretty well. If there is any drawback it would be that the filter cannot be used in the colder winter months if there is a chance of freezing weather. This is a small trade off for having to clean my previous filter once a week or more in the summer. My expectations have been fully met. I like this product and would recommend it for any small pond.

I purchased this for a temporary setup for a 120gal tank with about five small koi in it. I primed the filter with Microbe-Lift PL1 and after about a week the water had cleared up, and the Ammonia and NO2 were reading 0

I used this to Reseal a 55 Gallon long tank. I know that buying from the pet store will not

allow me to reseal it completely due to the amount of silicone most commercial pet stores offer. Buying this is the same price,if not cheaper, of the overprice smaller tubes pet stores offer. Even after completely sealing my 55 gallon long tank, I still have about only less than 1/4 left. Plus it is easier with a caulking gun as you will need to work fast before it starts curing.

This stuff is very clear after curing like brand new silicone from today's fish tanks. But differs due to how well you prep your tanks.

Bought this to reseal an old 30 gallon tank. it wasn't leaking but turtles I had started to rip up the original seal. I washed tank out, ripped out as much of the old seal as possible, and after a good drying, resealed with this sealant.

It's been more than a month and so far so good. Now with the left over of the sealant I plan on adding some mods like internal overflow box to one of my other tanks. I've got some acrylic glass pieces lying around so figure why not now that I have the sealant. Just a note you probably want to use this somewhere well ventilated since it gives off a strong vinegar like smell as part of the curing / drying process.

The pump works quite well and does create a nice spherical pattern. The head is adjustable so you can make different patterns. For example, it can also shoot jets out perpendicular to the head. There are no instructions for how to change the pattern and it's definitely not obvious, but you just have to rotate the very top of the head. The filter is very large and easy to access for cleaning.

I've tried to use solar-powered pumps and filters in my pond, but they're not powerful enough and tend to get clogged easily and break quickly. This is a much more powerful and sturdy pump with a far larger filter, so it should do the job much better. Definitely a good pump for the price.

Contacting the company and found out that Amazon is not a "designated distributor" for their product so they won't take it back!!

I tried to take apart the pump as per their suggestion and found out the pump impeller was Broken!....and the whole thing is now good as a door stop.

I don't have the money to waste.

And this was definitely a BIG WASTE.

But within weeks the impeller (the only moving part) broke and within 6 months the second impeller broke. So I bought two more. This time when it stopped, it turned out to be the motor itself, not the spare impellers.

So I've decided never again with this brand. I've had my fish pond for 25 years and have run pumps 365 days/year through harsh winters and thick ice. For over 22 years, I used a Little Giant® brand pump, 3 of the same model. So that's what I am going back to. In my experience, the Pondmaster pump is inferior and poorly engineered.

I'd struggled to find a glass lid for my 46 gal bowfront for a long time, and finally came across this one. Great quality, relatively light weight for removal/cleaning, perfectly cut for components on the rear of the tank, and curvature perfectly fits the front of the tank. What more needs to be said?

My glass top was starting to get a little weathered and wasn't letting much light pass through it, so I decided it was time for a new one. This was the only 46g bowfront lid that I could find for sale so I decided to pull the trigger and order in, and I am sure glad I did. The Versa top not only looked better than the original, it also fit better and with the plastic back portion, I am no longer worried about my rainbow shark leaping out of the water. Received package and knew almost immediately that there was an issue as I could hear loose pieces of glass inside the boxes. I initially filed for a refund and return, only to find out that it wasn't any longer available from the seller. In my case the bow portion was fine it was the rectangular portion of the top.I took it upon my self to call some local glass places to find out it would be about a 20$ bill to replace the simple rectangular portion. I contacted Amazon customer service via their chat protocol and was refunded the price of the glass, I was even offered "labor" expenditures but I refused because honestly how much labor is it to slide broken glass out and new glass in. Midwest Tropical 675 Square Aquarium Coffee Table

The only thing they really had to get right with this tank was having the black bottom piece affixed securely to the clear acrylic tank, and with that they failed miserably. The black acrylic piece at the bottom is about 3/8" wide and is affixed poorly by glue around the tank. Accidently bump into the table or attempt to move the table and the bottom will no longer be attached to the tank.

The acrylic tank is square but once filled with water the sides protrude outwards, losing its shape, making it look much less square than when there is no water in it. Having a glass tank would have solved this problem. Also the acrylic is very vulnerable to scratches. When removing the rocks to clean it you must be VERY careful. If you scratch the sides of the tank, it will look cloudy and visibility will be permanently decreased. Had it been glass, this wouldn't have been a problem.

Another thing, you must not use a heater otherwise the entire top will be foggy and you will not be able to see inside the tank. If you aerate the water or cause motion in the water, you will find condensation underneath the glass top and it will bubble up and start dripping into the tank again. If you use the included carbon filter you will also have a cord running across the room to the nearest outlet. A light fits discreetly underneath the tank and the rocks do a good job of dispersing the light quite evenly, however you've got another cord. There is about a 6" opening in the center of one of the black bottomed sides to easily slide in the light and remove it when necessary. The glass top is well made.

Overall it's a beautiful piece, but it doesn't work for everyone.

Deep Blue Silicone Aquarium Air Tubing 25 feet

I actually purchased this tubing for my precordial stethoscope. I love the color and flexibility at a fraction of the cost of comparable medical grade tubing.

Only have tried one "other brand" of this type air line but this one is softer and a slight bit thicker walled tubing.

As the advertising says this type stays soft after months(have not used it for years) of use.

It is more flexible so goes around corners better than the clear kind.

Con's

It is more obvious in the tank.

compared to the clear junk that you buy this tubing is really pliable so you can route it where ever you'd like with ease. what i receive was a dark bluish color unlike one of the other reviewers that said they received clear so there may be multiple versions?

I bought this [new] from a different website and installed it per the instructions. It is intended to keep a birdbath full, and it seemed to work right away, but the next morning the float was under water, and the birdbath was overflowing. The problem turned out to be a bad seam [the float is made in parts and glued together], and it filled with water. I contacted the distributor, and they sent me a replacement which worked ok. For over $ [incl. shipping] though, this is not a good value, even though customer service was good. There are others out there that are less expensive and just as good if not better.

I have been using this for our RO-DI unit and it's been working like a charm for about a year. However, now it's not functioning anymore and I need to replace it. Perhaps for the price this should have been as long they would have lasted.
