Hinged Rectangle Aquarium Canopy in Glass

I have a 55 gallon aquarium from an unknown manufacturer that needed two lids. These fit perfectly and the price was great.

I ordered this canopy because i had mesured my 40 gallon and knew that i needed a 36" wide top. The canopy I received is 35 1/4 ", and if i had let go it would have fallen right into my tank. There arent dimensions on the box but it does say this: FITS 30, 34H & 45H GAL. TANKS. If this had been included in the products description I might not have ordered it since my tank is a 40 gal. Seller should correct the dimensions in the description. The depth is wrong too. With the plastic thing attached to the glass it is only 11.5", not 13" as advertised. Furthermore the handle they inclcuded is all scratched up. I will be returning this :(

Contacted seller (HorseLoverZ / EasyPetStore) on Amazon and eBay about this item. Claimed manufacturer gave her the stock photo. The manufacturer denied this saying that the picture is NOT of the item. The photo and the item do not match. In the photo, it shows three separate hinged partitions. The item only has one hinge.

Communication from the seller is poor and NOT recommended.

Got this for our bearded dragon cage, she absolutely loves it. She use to only climb on this tree in her cage, even though we had multiple structures, but as soon as we put this backer in she only comes off of it to eat.

Highly recommend this product, this is the best purchase we have made for our bearded dragon.

Pros: High quality rigid foam, high quality texture on the front. Didn't have to cut it to fit it in our Zilla cage. The product that arrived looked slightly different then the one pictured, but it was much better, it had multiple rock ledges that the bearded can jump around to instead of one large ledge as pictured.

Cons: Clips didn't fit around our cage, and were just plastic circles with a slit in them. Luckily the product is freestanding.

I have three of these 24" units over my 72" long 125 gallon tank.

They are great for my purposes of growing plants, but I will give the pros and cons as I suspect that the negatives may outweigh the positives to many people.

Pros:

Great lighting that makes the tank and the fish look gorgeous!

My tank is freshwater, and I can grow any kind of plant I want with these lights! I also credit Purigen and Sea Chem fertilizers for my success with plants).

As my tank is filled with new growths of easy plants that tolerate less light but flourish in higher illumination like java moss or hornwort almost every week, I routinely produce new plants for my other tanks with standard T8 lighting.

Cons:

Because these lights are bright, they run hot, making the fan on the fixture loud. One of my three lights routinely gets stuck in a noise pattern in which a hum developed near the fan vent which is on the top of the fixture and keeps getting louder and LOUDER. Although I can quiet the light by (gently) thwacking on the fan, I doubt that this is very good for the light in the long run! The noise overwhelms any noise coming from my Eheim and Penn Plax canister filters, so if you are noise sensitive forget these lights unless you are good at fixing this type of thing.

There are TWO light bulbs on the fixture, and a replacement light bulb for these fixtures are quite expensive, so you have to shop around in order to spend a bundle on a light bulb.

Again, the look of my planted aquarium and the production of plants outweighs these (admittedly big) negatives to me, but you must decide for yourself.

I needed a light fixture of this length for a project. The fixture had to be of good quality and very reliable-no funky power failures or over-heating. This unit has performed flawlessly. It looks great and works great. NO problems. Buy with confidence.

Marina C10 Submersible Aquarium Heater (10 w)

The thermostat is set to 68F rather than the advertised 76F. If 68 degrees is what you need then buy it but if you, just like me, need a constant 76-78 degrees then don't waste your time and money on this good looking heater because looks is all it has.

I just bought this stupid thing from Petsmart. I followed all of the instructions and the thing won't even turn on! It says that you put it in the water, plug it in, the light comes on and you're good to go. BUT NO! The light never came on and it's not putting out any heat. My poor betta is going to freeze for another week until I can get a different heater delivered. It's really hard to find a heater for a small tank less than 2 gallons. This one is supposed to be for tanks UP TO 2.65 gallons. I have a 1 gallon tank. *Sigh*

I just got this heater today from Petsmart since it was on sale and I was looking for a new heater. I had the Hydor Mini going, but because it only heats a few degrees above room temperature, it just wasn't good enough --we live in a house that gets very cold, and we have a space heater in the room that we only put on when we're home (thus, our room temperature would fluctuate a lot). Given, the Marina heater has been in for only a day, but my fish isn't huddled by the heater anymore and he is a lot more active. The water seems to be staying consistently at the correct temperature and I have a 2 gallon tank.

Edit: So I had it for a couple of months before it began to die. Then my poor betta would just sit next to it waiting for it to come on. I don't think I'd recommend this if you want a lasting heater.

I was suprised to read alot of the negative comments about the heater because I'm a very satisfied customer. I bought the 10 watt heater for my tropical fish tank. It's been a couple of months now, and still works like a charm. What I love most about it is that it has a unbreakable casing around it, unlike most heaters out there and a very affordable price. I really don't mind not being able to adjust the temp since with this model it's at a constant 78 deg. I'm upgrading from a 1.5 gal to a 10 gallon soon, and I'm buying two 25 watt Marina heaters, instead of another branded 50-watt out there, because I know its reliable. The 10 watt even helped my fish through an episode of Ich, so no complaints here at all.

After purchasing this heater at Petsmart for my 1 gallon betta tank, I read the Amazon reviews and became disheartened, but tried it anyways. My room gets pretty cold, and the tank sits on top of the fridge next to the window where it is drafty (where else can you put it in a 3 person dorm room!?!?), so the temperature fluctuates between 76 and 77. It works perfectly, hides behind my black filter, and is made of sturdy materials. A happy betta lives here!

This product exceeded my expectations. Really nice heavy base. The tops are firmly attached in the bases so no bother with them falling apart. Leaves are nice and soft and sway gently in the tank. Great hiding place for shy fish. Highly recommend!

These plants were easy to place-no floatersand really fill in well. You recieve a lot more for your money than at the aquarium store.

The grass is pretty cheap and flimsy where it attaches to the base, and I wound up breaking part of one and all of another trying to put together grass that came apart in shipping. Nevertheless, the end effect, with gravel covering the base is pretty nice. Big bang for the buck, and I would buy it again. No problems so far with pieces coming off in the aquarium.

I have a lot of water movement and wanted something that didn't move around a lot and these work great. There is just enough movement to see the water current but not so much that they flop all over the place. Once some algae builds up on them they look real. They stay put as well.I either bury them in substrate of pile a few rocks over them anyway but even without help they stay put.

Make sure you soak in plain water for a least 24hrs before changing out. Easy to cut and replace. Saved allot of money not having to buy a whole new pump, because the black filters are not sold separately (anywhere) And 1 pack will do a double pump plus a single pump, with lots extra. I bought two packs , but I have plenty for the future.

I ordered this fishnet for use in a 55 gallon freshwater tank. I have other net's (one that came with the tank, one purchased separately) and this net is a much nicer product overall for a number of reasons:

* The net is made of very fine netting material which is the main reason I purchased it. This net was bought to be able to capture some of the smaller catfish in the tank if needed.

* The fine netting prevents the whiskers and fins from catching which could injure or kill the fish.

* The handle is very long at 2 feet and easily reaches in the tank without having to get my hands wet or disturbing the other fish.

* The handle is made of metal (not sure if aluminum, but looks like stainless steel) and is very durable, yet lightweight.

* The net is large enough to catch some of the larger cichlids and plecostomus

I have only used the net a few times (less than a dozen), but it exceeded my expectations for use, balance, weight and overall construction. Again, I purchased this net to use with the catfish, but it works equally well catching all other fish as well. I strongly recommend you consider this net over the larger netting of others as well as due to it's construction. This net was delivered to me, well packaged, within 3 days of purchasing it on Amazon (to an Atlanta address) which was equally unexpected.

My salt water aquarium is 20 inches deep so this net comes in handy. Not only for fish but for moving snails away when they get in the way of my coral. Good purchase for the price.

Sick of getting your hand dirty in the water? Then this baby is for you. I got the 5x4 and it is perfect with a 24 inch handle length. Nothing negative to say about it. Stainless steal and a nice blue net that is large enough to fit a smaller or medium fish if you have to take it out. The larger one should be used for bigger fish obviously.

We use this for our outdoor Fountain, which is three layers and it works perfect to get into the smaller bowls of the fountain, yet big enough for the bottom layer!
