I've been using this skimmer net on my small water pond (about 300 gallons) for about two weeks and I am very happy with it. The handle can be adjusted to the right length so that I don't have to bend down, and the net is fine enough to scoop up even the grime at the bottom of my pond. And the plastic guard at the top of the frame protects the net from being torn when I scrape on the pond floor. I highly recommend it.
This is the first net I have had that has not torn or broken. I have a concrete pond so the rim guard is exactly what I needed.
