These are great for breeding/hospital tanks, or really tanks of any size depending on the requirements of your fish. I have this filter as the only filter in 2 of my grow out tanks and use one as a supplemental filter in my 55, water quality stays great. If you are looking for something small and easy to hide this NOT your filter, otherwise this (or a few of these) should be able to meet your needs (and more importantly the needs of your fish).
