Silent Air X-2 Air Pump - 20 gallon - 1 outlet
I purchased this product because I wanted a silent air pump and was disappointed with it for that reason.
I have a 20 gallon long aquarium. I hooked up this Penn-Plax Silent-Air X2 air pump to handle two air stones. It did the job but was noisy. I replaced it with a Marina 75 air pump(see my Amazon review)
and discovered that it was about 33% quieter while doing the same job.

Have had this pump for a year, still works great. It's not absolutely silent, but it is still very quiet compared to other pumps. I had it on a shelf above my tank, several times knocked it off, doesn't phase it, still worked as well as the day I got it. K&H Rubber Thermo-Hose Ice Free Water Hose
K&H markets their products to animal owners, and I think they're missing a small market. As a winter/snow rv fanatic, I bought this hose to help with camping in the Sierras. Just needed something to make sure that the water and hose weren't freezing on the coldest nights (bottoming out around -10).After talking with K&H about my application, they confirmed the description and other feedback. The ends are not heated so they will also need to be wrapped or protected from cold. I chose to wrap them in foam and didn't worry about heating them seems to have worked for my application. We'll see how well this works over time.
As for staying warm, it was enough to melt the snow that I dropped it onto and when I woke it was on solid ground, and the water was still free-flowing, which is exactly what I would have expected.
As an added bonus, K&H did answer their phone right away when I called them and Amazon delivered 2nd day as promised.

This water hose has been an absolute life saver!!! We were having to disconnect our waterhose on very cold nights. We purchased this water hose and used it all winter long. This is a wonderful little plant bowl! I bought it to make a (very) mini aquatic plant garden on my desk that gets a lot of natural light. It came out wonderfully! However, if you are thinking about this tank for a fish, think again. It is too small to heat, doesn't have a cover, and the volume of water is simply too small for any animal to thrive in. Great for moss balls!

Took a while to receive these, I probably didn't read carefully enough and was focusing on price, but they came from China.I know that on eBay if shipping is free, that makes one look to a based in China seller. Of course, everything about eBay is pathetic.
My FX5 APPEARS to be
running more sluggishly since I changed ALL the foam filter media in it during a regular cleaning. On the assumption that they're
non-toxic, and not clogging up my filter, I wouldn't give them a bad review. But really, what's to review besides clear water.
They're cheap. They're definitely not original equipment from the Fluval factory, that you know as soon as you handle them.
I'd say that either you want to save money, or be sure that you're getting name brand products. I went with cheap this time.
My livebearers have given birth twice since I put them in. I've had no fish losses. How bad can the water be!
Let's go with a B-, so I'll give 4 stars just because they aren't as good as the originals, but then again I can't afford the
real ones!!

I ordered two bags of the "Glofish 5-Pound Aquarium Gravel Bag, Black with Fluorescent Highlights" and it looked nothing like the photograph which shows a colorful bag of gravel. What I received has about a 90% black / 10% color ratio (I'm uploading a customer image, so please see above). I had to place a second order for "Glofish 5-Pound Aquarium Gravel, Bag Pink/Green/Blue Fluorescent". The bags are heavy, so it costs about $10 in shipping. I hope my review helps others avoid the frustration I had to experience.

Petco Newport 20 Gallon Wooden Tank Stand
I gave it 5 stars because it serves it purpose very well. It looks great , sturdy, and it is easy to clean. My tank fits perfectly, (I have a 10 gallon fish tank) so there is room on the side to sit my air pump and fish food. I have several items on the second shelf and the bottom holds some books.I think that anyone who purchases this tank stand would be very pleased.

This stand is everything I could have hoped for, it looks great, very stable, and cheap :D.I only gave it a 4 though because it does scratch easily.
>Also putting this stand together was a massive headache. If one of those plastic nuts isn't properly aligned you'll have a hell of a time with a flashlight trying to figure out why the nut and "bolt" isn't sitting right.

API Aquarium Salt
Hi, this salt is very good for gill function and helps enhance treatments when using medications to battle parasites and diseases in your aquarium. It helps your fish relax and breath normally when dosing your tank with strong medicines that could cause stress. Should only be used when needed, but a bit of salt after your waterchanges wouldn't hurt at all. Make sure to dissolve in water before adding to aquarium.This salt is actually about the same if not, cheaper than most kitchen sea salt, rock salt etc. Also, some [Non-Iodized] Kitchen salts contain different caking agents other than iodine to prevent salt from clumping up. This aquarium salt is PURE sea salt with no additives so this is your safest route.
Salt is the safest natural way to treat first signs of white spot disease also known as ich. In other words this will only be effective in the early stages and minor infections, if your fish is covered in ich then I suggest using medications with the combination of salt for maximum effectiveness.
Add 1 Tablespoon of salt per 10 gallons, if your fish show no signs of stress feel free to add another 1 Tablespoon of salt per 10 gallons. Then you want to get the heat up to about 85-88 degrees. In order to do this, you have to raise the temperature slowly about 1-2 degrees every hour. Monitor your fish, if they are breathing rapidly the temperature is too high. When you notice some spots disappearing it is important to do atleast a 25% water change to get rid of the parasites in its free swimming stage. Continue treating for another week AFTER you see no spots to ensure you get rid of all the ich.
Warning: Please do research on your fish before using salt. Generally salt is not harmful but if your fish are scaleless or sensitive to salt it can cause death from shock if introduced to your aquarium in large amounts at once.

Things to Remember...
Only add additional salt after you have completed a water change and only add enough salt to dose the amount of water you replaced. Also, do not just top the water level off in your tank if water evaporates. This will just make the salt concentration higher.
Overall, I highly recommend this.I have used this brand before when my preferred brand is out of stock at the store. The primary issue with it is that it is rather difficult to get it to dissolve, you must melt it in scolding hot water then cool the water down prior to adding it into your tank.

I love what this product looks like, the color of the light, and the soothing waterfall. The negatives I have found is that the waterfall pushes my male beta on his side when he swims close to it. Therefore, he hides behinds the filter a lot and I don't see him much. This is one of the rare occasions when I review a project I havent bought. First let me start off by saying you can only put ONE, not TWO glofish in here. Second I find this REALLY expensive. You could by a glass bowl and say 30 bucks. With glofish you will need a heater and filter. That would be a huge hassle. They wont fit and this means more of your money wasted. If you want a glofish tank invest in a good big tank. The ironic thing is bigger tanks are easier to maintain.If you want two glofish you should get a three of four sized gallon tank.
