This is a great little check valve. A plastic one would have done the same job, but I didn't want to use a plastic one with my CO2 setup. Price was great and even though it came from Hong Kong. I got it way before the estimated delivery date.
Lee's Net Breeder
This net allows for great water flow and allows the baby fish to be in the same water as the adults safely. Mine came with some little plastic plants for the babies to hide in. Place the female in here to give birth, then take her out when she's done so she won't eat them. After about 8 weeks, they will be large enough to go into the big tank. A big problem with raising baby fish is over feeding. this net allows extra food to fall out into the main tank and the adults will eat it.
The "hooks" to attach the net to the tank are flexible metal plates that you bend around the edge of the tank. It's ugly, not sturdy, can easily break, and don't appear replaceable. They don't hold the net evenly in place -the front edge hangs 1/2" lower than the back. I had to lower the water level in the tank to ensure that the front of the net is above the water line.
Overall, it's fine for occasional use and the price is right. But I'd get something better for prolonged use, especially if it's going into a display tank.It does the job better than expected. It appeared small at first, but after use, the mother fish I put in it seems calm and comfortable. As other reviews state, it allows for good water flow, and connects to the tank easily. I ordered 2 more today.

I read all the reviews and thought this was the best breeder for my molly. Most of these breeders seem to get lackluster reviews, so I thought I would take a chance on this one.It's cheap. For what I need, it's serviceable, but barely. I put it together easily enough until I got to the netting. It's too small. So the net only goes up to almost touch the top. The pictures on the box have it coming over the top four corners and therefore staying secure. It's just poorly made.
Also the hooks don't really work for my tank. I have a 55 gallon, the standard kind. But the hooks aren't nearly long enough to hook over the top and have the net submerged. They aren't even long enough to actually hook over the frame on the the top. And then of course I wouldn't be able to close the lid all the way.
So, I took a piece of styrofoam and created a float to hook the hooks on. I had to use a second piece on the front to compensate for the net not going all the way to the top. This effort was less than it would have taken to send it back, since everyone is complaining about all of them.
Then I found out that mollies are pregnant for somewhere around a month (I thought she was really fat, but she's not anywhere near ready) so I let her out, and took the breeder out of the tank. When she is ready, I'm going to try replacing the netting with nylon stocking. Hopefully that will work.
If you really need something and you are willing to get cheap and shoddy workmanship for a small amount of money, then go ahead. But if you want quality that will last, and work properly, this is not the breeder for you.

Microbe-Lift Special Blend Aquarium Bacteria
I purchased this item to help get the nitrogen cycle started in a new 45 gallon freshwater aquarium which had been running for about two weeks with small amounts of food added. I followed the dosing instructions for Microbe Lift and added a couple of fish the next day. I tested daily for ammonia, nitrite and nitrate.Ammonia levels continued to rise and there were no detectable levels of nitrite or nitrate after a week, necessitating a water change.
On the recommendation of more experienced fish keepers, I decided to switch to Tetra SafeStart for a bacteria boost. Immediately after adding the SafeStart, ammonia stabilized at a tolerable level and within three days I began seeing nitrates rising. The tank was fully cycled within 10 days.
Microbe Lift was not as effective as Tetra SafeStart in controlling ammonia levels and providing beneficial bacteria. It also has a strong unpleasant sulfide odor which the packaging says is normal. Earth Juice Double Down 1-Quart Liquid pH Adjuster
The product works, but compared to the stuff I was using before (Mad Farmer Get Down), this Double Down acid is weak. With Mad Farmer I was using NO MORE than 7mL to adjust the pH of a 95L container, and with this stuff I'm using 3 to 4 times that amount.One bottle of Mad Farmer lasted 2 complete grow cycles, while this stuff has only lasted me about 2 weeks and I am almost out. I'm on Amazon right now trying to find some better stuff. I do not recommend this product. It is just too dilute for most applications.

Penn Plax Finding Nemo Big Eye Aquarium Kit, 4-Gallon
I purchased this for my son as a first fish tank. It is very cute but the filter is terrible. Within the firsts week, we started having water issues. Eventually, we purchased a ten gallon tank and moved all the fish over...they were much happier with some clean water and oxygen!
1. This tank doesn't come with a light. And
2. The filter doesn't work well.
If you are considering starting up a fish tank with a Finding Nemo theme, you would be better off buying a different tank and adding some Nemo ornaments and a Nemo background.
I bought an LED light/airpump so the tank would have some light, but it's still not enough. The tank looks pretty dark whether the light is on or not. Also, because the light goes on the bottom of the tank and shines up, it lights up my whole room because the top/cover is transparent. This looks cool, but I wanted the LED light to make the tank glow a little bit in the dark, but it doesn't.
As for the filter, I'm pretty sure it just sucks water in and spits it back out, making a current rather than filtering the tank water. I've tried to look up this type of filter online to see how it works, and I couldn't find anything.
I received another used tank from my boyfriend. I can actually look inside the filter to see what it does, and it's a tank from Marineland, a trusted aquarium brand. It has a working light on top and the top/cover is solid black, so my LED light shouldn't light up my entire room. I'm going to transfer my lovely fish over to that aquarium as soon as I get back from my trip-I hope they stay healthy enough in this tank until I get back so I can transfer them over the more functional tank.
Overall: If you want a safe, healthy home for your aquatic friends, I would look for a different tank.

I had a smaller fish bowl for a pair of gold fish and needed a larger tank then after they grew. I found that the fish liked the toys and are happier swimming in a larger space. The fish also enjoyed looking out view of the zoom view as they ate fish food. The picture does not do this ornament justice. It is absolutely perfect. I have large fish and it's hard for me to find a decoration with holes large enough for them to explore inside. This sunken ship is the perfect accessory to my aquarium. Kids think it looks neat yet it is tasteful enough for adults. There are three huge holes in the bottom. Two on one side, one on the other. The bottom is left open so the gravel or sand can be viewed inside. It really looks like a sunken ship that has sat on the bottom for a while. I personally adore it. The holes are large and create an open feel, yet there's still enough shadows to make fish feel as though they are safe and hiding.I have a few different aquariums. This is in my 50 gallon and looks great. It's not overly large but takes up a good chunk of space. I would say that it would nicely fit anywhere above a 20 gallon tank. It would be a bit overwhelming in a 15 gallon but could probably fit. But like I said, I would go for anything above a 20 gallon with this particular accessory.
The color is very natural and it really looks like wood. So many accessories with wood accents look like plastic. This one actually looks like wood. It's a detail I personally really appreciate. My fish love it. It looks great. I couldn't have asked for a better accessory. And it was packaged flawlessly.

It came well packaged in a sturdy wooden crate with styrofoam surrounding the tank. The tank itself looks wonderful! The glass is very clean cut and smooth. The silicon that holds the pieces together isn't noticeable whatsoever and is very neat looking. It arrived on time including a letter from the seller thanking me for my business, hand-signed and everything, which caught me off guard since that is an uncommon experience for me. Great product with great service, its well worth the money.

The product is very sturdy like most U.S. made products. I bought it to support US economy, and I'm really glad I did. I checked a competitor's product imported from overseas and it was already broken in pkg and lighter in comparison. Very satisfied with it. Not perfect, but definitely worth having. My aquarium is a lot cleaner and healthier because of this undergravel filter. It was pretty easy to assemble. I recommend it.

Good concept but poor product. Larger then expected and bulky with spinner. Real weakness is suction cups can't hold it steady, then when you adjust the angle etc.. they pull off as well as the plastic clip to hold pump pops loose. I put it back in box and wrote it off as a test, also is not quiet like my Koralias. Bought these from a different store and without the electronic timer built into the light. I have one of those power center strips with timers that automatically control the light periods so I didn't need timers on the lights for a freshwater tank. I have had these lights for almost two years. I have a 45 gallon planted tank with Fluval Stratum and CO2. These really put out a lot of light I have two lamps which means 4 x 39 watts over 45 gallons. I swapped out the light bulbs for Geisemann bulbs based on feedback from some planted tank online forums. The lights work well if I could have afforded it two years ago, I would have gone LED however. Couple of things to note the lights sit low over the top of the tank. You really cannot fit two banks of lights with a Marineland dual power wheel filter because the lights will hit the top of the filter. There is not much clearance between the top of the tank and the lights so if you're like me and stick your hands in the tank frequently to drop in vegetable foods, move around plants, trim plants, etc. you can barely get your hand under the lights and in the tank. Ditto for trying to fit a gravel suction cleaner in the tank. For those tasks, it's easier just to temporarily move the lights off the tank. Also, my glass cover on the tank is no longer able to flip upso I removed the hinge and now just lift off the glass section to feed the fish. The lights also get hot (even though they are fluorescent) so if you're sticking your hands in the tank, you will get close to the hot bulbs and you'll feel the heat. Not enough to burn your arm but it's still very warm. Like the look of the lights, performance has been excellent my plants grow like crazy (helps to have CO2). Been happy with these.

I've owned this item for a few months now and have absolutely no complaints at all. It fires up quickly, lights the tank well and has more than doubled the plant growth in my tank. I wasn't sure if I'd like the roseate bulb, but I've been pleasantly surprised. I'm not sure if I'll replace it with another roseate when it dies yet, but so far I can say that I notice a difference in the coloring of the fish from the bulb. Much brighter reds/oranges. I cannot rate its impact on plant growth, however, as this is my first planted tank and therefore I have no experience with other bulbs.Item was shipped far better than expected it was VERY well wrapped and VERY well protected. Pretty sure I could have thrown the box down the stairs three or four times without any issues.

Finally upgraded and bought my second light fixture. The main reason for me buying this brand is because of the ability to link up to three fixtures. Linking the two fixtures wasn't that easy though. It was very hard to line up the screws took me a hr to get things up and rolling. Other than that they work perfectly. They do not get hot and the bulbs that come with them is bright and grows my plants beautifully. I have them set up on timers the front two bulbs are on for three hrs. Love this light, but they didn't include instructions with it to explain how to put the brackets on. Let me help you with that...first you must remove the side panel (unscrew several small screws) and a small metal bar (remove screws) that is immediately within it, then slide the legs on into the grove and screw those parts back on. Also, once the end cap is off, you can remove the plexiglass and must remove a thin sheet of protective plastic wrap from both sides. Other than that, this product is really nice. This is a very powerful and safe product...BUT be prepared for the skimmer to NOT work for over a week. This stuff takes a long time to break down to say the least. Tons of bubbles and over skimm first. The product does say no skimming but had no idea how long that period will be. On the other hand had an emergency with a purple tang and what looked like larger white ulcers out of the blue in over 9 years of perfect health and it was gone in a day with this. This one is for parasitic infection. Flukes and worms, ich, and so forth. Examine new fish with a magnifying glass before putting them in the community tank.
