After coming home from college, I realized that I was allergic to our cats. Not wanting to keep them outside all the time, I found these wipes claiming to get rid of the dander that causes allergies. I combed them for a while first (these cats apparently don't enjoy cleaning themselves and so are very dirty) and afterwards wiped them down with these wipes. They enjoyed it and it really helped with my allergies. I would highly recommend them to anyone with mild allergies to cats who still want to be around them.

I bought this product to use on my elderly cat who no longer grooms herself as thoroughly as she once did. Rubbing her down with this wipe and then brushing her does wonders for her coat, which has to be good for her health. I'm very pleased with the results and, despite her protests , I think she is, too.

My cat is very clean but for some reason she recently acquired a pretty strong unpleasant pet smell. Not wanting to go through the pain of bathing a cat, I purchased these. Initially kitty was not so sure about it but after a while I realized she was really enjoying the "bath". She started purring and rolling around, which is great but I personally did not care much for the smell of the wipes. However, it certainly beats my cats previous odor. Lets say she went from smelling awful to smelling a little weird. I'll take weird any day of the week, you can count on that.

Overall it is clearly a high quality product, well packaged and it does the job. I am also looking forward to checking if it reduces the level or allergens around those with allergies it will be great if it does.

If I had liked the smell I would have given it five stars.

These quick wipes for cats is great. My 4 year old cat didn't mind it one bit, let me wipe her down real good, then I dried her off a bit, and then, thankfully, she cleaned herself off! I recommend this product; use two, one in each hand.

This is a great unit. It takes ammonia out from the tank with no problems.

Bought this for my Innovative Marine Nuvo 38 gallon. I originally had the Innovative Marine skimmer for a few months. It had micro bubbles for the first month and then after every water change for a few days. It was very loud too, I could hear it clearly with the tv on. So I purchased the Hydor Slim Nano since I was so sick of noise and micro bubbles. It fits in the same column in the back of the tank.

I put the Hydor in and plugged it in and it is VERY quiet and it has ZERO micro bubbles! It was producing skim mate within the first 15 minutes! The collection cup is very easy to take off and clean too. It is awesome and I am very impressed. Much better then the Innovative marine skimmer.

This could be a good product it says it floats and it did for awhile "moves in tank" so I suctioned it to the sides but the suction cups it came with tore the just aren't that great so if u have some fish friendly suction cups it may work good. It's a cool double decker fry tank but the second layer clip was broke assumedly due to USPS it did ship all the way from Hong Kong. Need one that hooks on the side

It wasnt what I thought but usable. The top wont stay on in the water thats why it only gets a 3 star rating.

AQUARIUS AQ1224 Aquarium LED Light Strip - Expandable 18 to 24, 91 LED Lamps

Bought this for my 10 gallon quarantine tank, and it looked nice online with 91 LED's and what not, but when plugged in, the day light setting isn't all that bright. It seems to be more of a dusk or dawn lighting system instead. Although it does make the glofish pop having the blue in there. In any case ~ it seems to be built pretty well, but during the night time the tank is definitely more blue than anything else.

I own 3 of this aquarium light and I have had enough of them.

Some basic info:

91 3-5mm LED bulbs, 49 White, 42 Blue, placed in a look-alike T8 fluorescent tube

Worldwide voltage, regulated PSU @ 24V

Total power consumption @ 5W

Simple (outdated) non-regulated LED circuit 7 LEDs in a group with a 180ohm resistor

LEDs rated for ~30,000 hours

First light:

Came without a PSU. Returned it for another one.

Second light:

Complete package. Worked well for 3 weeks @ 12 hours a day till one of the group of 7LEDS went dead.

Third light:

Brand new, it was obviously brighter compared to my 2nd light. I wasn't sure whether it was because of the fault in the 2nd light but time will tell.

Two months into usage of the lights.

I am absolutely certain that the light output is decreasing. The third light is no longer as bright as before, now it is just dim. Needless to say for the second light, dimmer.

To summarises:

Unreliable; Not bright at all; Expensive for what it is

Seriously, just stick with fluorescent lights till LEDs have their reliability proved.

There is no way this LED light will achieve 30,000 rated hours at the rate it is getting dim. Actually, LED lights have a rating which states how long they will sustain the bright before decreasing in output. The last time I checked, most LEDs are rated 3000hours only.

Most fluorescent lights at rated for 10,000 hours and they have a relatively constant light output.

Decent product. Is normal quality for a fish tank background.

May be slight overpriced but I bought it anyway.

I was surprised to find that the piece is actually reversible with a collage of sort of marvel comics.

Marina Slim Filter Carbon Plus Ceramic Cartridge - 3-Pack

These filter cartridges work well. They have a good amount of Carbon in them and trap a bunch of dirt.

Don't replace them all at the same time. Even thought the sponge on the intake holds a large colony of beneficial bacteria, a lot resides in the filters as well. So give it a couple weeks between replacing each cartridge.

When I purchased this, it was $5 per pack (free standard shipping). It looks like it is now a Prime item, but the price has gone up to over $6 (still not extremely expensive considering they need to be changed about once every 2 weeks). The product itself works great, and fits the filter for the tank I purchased. So far no complaints.

These filters are perfect for small fish tanks. If you use as instructed the water will not become murky. I change one every week, which always keeps a new one in there. Amazon has them for a better price than my local pet supply store. Highly recommend!

My filter uses four filters...these are packaged with three filters. Since the company says to never change all filters at once, I purchased two packages to change two filters three times.

Only one side of this actually worked well. The other side had a few random bubbles coming out but nothing like the side closest to the air hose. I ended up moving the cap to the first section and just using it. It looks pretty like this and I don't have to worry about it coming apart. I should have just purchased the 12" one.

I looked all over the Permian Basin for this and was thrilled to find it. It arrived so fast I was surprised by my delivery. The fish love swimming in the bubbles and think they can hide behind them. It adds a beautiful feature to my aquarium.

If you have small fishes like mollies, guppies or zebras, BE CAREFUL and please read this.

Do not buy this item unless you're willing to spend an hour or two smoothing the inner edges. This ornament is made of a resin-like material, and it had several pointy edges on the inside which I was careful enough to notice. I had to take the proper time to slowly remove them with a sandpaper, which is very hard to do because the skull is tiny, even for a female finger.

It is not safe for aquariums with small fishes, so please consider you will have to spend extra time fixing the ornament before it can be danger-free for your beloved pets.

Pros;

Nice kit, everything included except rocks & plants. Good price.

Cons; LED light seems to have a bad design. My LED crashed 1 1/2 month after install. After inspection, the flimsy switch and power inlet both had corrosion. Would recommend using the light and removing and placing it in a dry area after each use. Leaving it on the tank seems to invite humidity and could make the LED light fail.

Great tank for beginners and novices. All in one just like previous comment said. I also had my LED light go out about 5 months in. Took apart the light and saw major corrosion. Not sure what to do at this point. All the other parts work well and can't complain about that. I might switch out for regular lighting so I can use live plants.

Aquaclear Biomax

This does not remove NITRATE! It removes Ammonia and Nitrite. The details on Amazon page says it removes nitrate and this is wrong. Many people new to the hobby confuse Nitrite and Nitrate. Understandable since these sound almost identical. I just wanted to clear that up. To remove nitrate you will have to perform water changes or buy some aquatic plants that will remove a little bit of nitrate. The bacteria only consume the nitrite and ammonia.

All this product does is add a lot more surface area for the bacteria to live on thus increasing the biological load your tank can handle.

I also want to add that this does not make your water cloudy. If you do not rinse the pellets off as the directions say then you will introduce very fine white dust to the tank. If you rinse the pellets real good until you no longer see powder coming off you should be fine.

This is a very good product overall.

Way better than the one it came with the AquaClear 50 when I bought it. This one comes in a clothe net bag, so there's no cutting or transferring the rocks, just rinse and drop. Although it kind of takes a bit longer for the beneficial bacteria to build up than the old one I got that has a plastic net.

Speedy delivery. AquaClear BioMax is one of the best products for aquarium I've found. Within a few days, bacteria began to grow with its golden tan color. Fish do not seem to have a problem with it. Note: I was told to only change the BioMax every 6 months and to only change out 50% of the bag out with new BioMax to keep the bacteria balance. Will buy again.

After weeks of use, the biomax pellets fill up with brown-tan growth. It is probably beneficial bacteria, but the net bag tends to grow them and some algae too. I threw my first one away after ~10 months of use because the pellets started to chip. The new pellets probably chip less and will last longer.

I've had this filter for 2 months now. I use this filter for my 5-gallon tank and it keeps the water crystal clear. I also enjoy the quality aeration it produces in the water so I never need to buy an air pump. Additionally, I have a very small room so the only location I have for my aquarium is next to my bed, and though I'm sensitive to noises, I sleep with no disruptions. I thoroughly enjoy this little compact filter.

The only hiccup is that the filter cartridges for this model are not sold anywhere, but Tetra's small Bio-bag filter cartridges work just fine. Still, this hiccup doesn't affect my satisfaction of this little filter.

This is a very good filter, but it has a short life, at least for me. My second Mini Might Filter just crapped out on me. Don't know if it's something I'm doing, or it's just a bad product, because it is a good filter. I've had this one for a bit more than a month, and it's having the same problem as my last filter. It makes this awful Darth-Vader sucking noise. That's the best way to describe it. Still seems to filter, but that terrible noise! I feel so bad for my fish to have to endure that :( All the other filters I have seen have been huge, I want a tiny filter, but this one isn't working!

I've had this for a long time. It filters very well for a little one, and is so tiny, it hardly takes up any space. The odd sucking noise is not the filters fault, it happens with any filter that is exposed above air. To rid any filter of that noise, stick it under the water, like it should be.

this filter is very quiet unlike other filters I have and the only bad thing is the cartridges you have to buy tetra mini cartridges its own company does not make them but always keeps water crystal clear

A long time hobbyist of 35+ years it seems the battle against Algae is one that will rage on indefinitely. This scrubber is excellent. Thick and coarse spun nylon makes removal of both green and brown algae as effortless as it can be. The scrubber is perfect for the sides and bottom and equally effective in edges for corners and those hard to reach places.

Acrylic tanks are gorgeous but as you already know they scratch easily I've never had a problem using these, just always make sure to never use the pad on dry acrylic above the water line.

A few of my tanks get indirect sunlight so for those it's a weekly effort and I keep lots of these and the smaller single pads on hand, It's important especially if you keep a variety of different species in separate aquariums to avoid cross contamination and the Lee's line of scrubbers for both glass and acrylic are affordable enough for each tank to have a dedicated set.

Cross contamination has long been linked to toxic tank syndrome which can wipe out your tank in 24 hours, so best to have gear that's dedicated to one specific tank.
