Exotic Environments Human Skull Aquarium Ornament, 5-Inch by 7-1/2-Inch by 6-Inch

Maybe I missed the part of the product description that says it's made for an aquarium, but that's what the box it comes in says. It looks and feels like cheap plastic (which it is) and there's nothing realistic about it, unless looking at it from afar. It's smaller than I expected and when I opened the box it became immediately evident to me that the picture they are using here to sell it is heavily photoshoped to make it look better (in other words: false advertising).

::EDIT:: I need to mention that in the weeks following the above (original) review the seller changed two very important aspects of this product display.

1)They added the words "aquarium ornament" to the title. When I bought this the title was "Life Size Realistic Human Skull" not "Exotic Environments Human Skull Aquarium Ornament . . ."

2) They have replaced the picture with a much more realistic (to what you will get) picture. When I bought this and wrote the review the picture was very different and they had made it look very authentic to a real human skull.

I'm glad they have changed these two things, but it's sad that a customer had to call them out and reveal their false advertising in order for this to happen. Basically, the way this is displayed here now is much closer to what you will actually get.

When I opened the box my first thought was that it looked great but within one week the paint had began to peel. Needless to say that peeling paint isn't good for fish...

The skull lasted about a month in my freshwater tank then the paint began to peel off. If your looking for a decoration that you dont plan to put in an aquarium it looks pretty cool. Otherwise I would stay away from this decoration.

Love the light up skulls my son paints these and sells them . They are great looking when he gets done with them.

This skull is really awesome looking as an obscure decoration. My fish love swimming in and out of the openings. I love that the bottom is open and I can put my led multicolored light in it for a really wicked effect.
