AquaClear Motor Unit for 20, 30, 50, 70 Power Filters

I have two aquaclear70 filters and I love them, they work great and have a good output. But they have their flaws. One main one is you got to check your motors when you buy one of these filters. It seems they tend to have the shaft in them that holds the impeller bend to one side to far causing the impeller to hit against it causing damage to the filter. I love the filters but over time Hagen has let them slip away with careless assembly. I wish they could at least take the time to be detail oriented instead of amount of production.

hopefully this motor won't die out like the stock one. Didn't even have it for year! SO far its running good. ALso don't throw away the propeller, it does not come with the motor.

when I got the package, the motor unit is in a bag full of dust. It seems like had been used. Sure enough, it did not work. I usually have a good experience with Amazon but not this time.

I will start by saying, this product was fine, but i didn't realise that it came with a foreign plug, so in my intelligent anticipation, i bent the plugs to fit an australian standard wall socket, safe to say, it fried within minutes, Pre warning to all australians that buy this product, buy a foreign plug connection.

These palm trees are very nice and the leaves also have a nice look to it. I put two of these in my 50 gal tank next to some rocks and they really enhance the look to it. It is a bit small the description says 4 inches but if your burying the bottom part in some gravel u can take off about an inch, so make that 3 inches. Be gentle when cleaning and removing these as the tree trunk comes out of the base easily but can be put back in. Overall very nice look and nice base. Recommended for any tank especially smaller ones.

The palm trees are layered perfectly so that you get a great effect from the leaves. Even if you don't have a fish tank, I would buy these to set on my desk in the office. They're really cool.

I was under the impression that they were bigger. the get lost in my 40 gallon tank. I will tell you that they are well made and they are cute, just small!

I was really excited to get this for my 55 gallon aquarium. It arrived with one of the masts broken, but after contacting the seller a replacement was promptly shipped out. I've had this ship in my aquarium for almost a year and it's got a lot of spots where the paint is flaking off to reveal what looks like resin underneath. I expected this to hold up better over time than it has.

The pirate shipwreck I purchased is very nice. I like the idea of two pieces so you can position them how you want.

It looks like an old shipwreck with the washed looking color, makes it looks like it's been down in the ocean

for a long time. I have my Pirate statues scattered around it and some plants. Good size for my 55 gallon tank.

Marina Girl Theme Betta Fish Aquarium Bonus Pack

My daughter turned four and wanted her own pet to take care of and wanted a "princess" tank. The Disney ones were garish and expensive. This is the perfect tank for a betta and easy to clean. I don't think it is too small for this type of fish at all. Great price for all that was included in the box too.

I have been wanting one of these but saw it in the store for a lot more. Made very well and very stylish. Order it, you wont be disapointed.

I wouldn't use this for any fish but it was great for my little Marimo before it started to get a little bigger. I also used one to hold my little ghost shrimp before putting in the 5 gal tank after I was sure it wouldn't give any diseases or anything. That's about all I used this little thing for.

All Glass Aquarium AAG29024 Versa Top, 24-Inch

That about says it all! Perfect fit! Maybe wish the back plastic piece was 1/2" wider, my protein skimmer return barely fits, but it does!

Ordered this Versa Top and I'm not certain I got the one I ordered, as the one I received doesn't reach the back of my tank. Its between a half an inch to an inch short. Thus, it doesn't seal the top like its meant to, without some creative adaptation. Disappointing. Not a satisfying purchase.

The plastic strip in back is a bit short, though. I am not sure whether the tank will benefit from reduced evaporation losses with such a large gap in back. The glass canopy is good quality, though and looks quite nice.

Lee's 5-1/2 Original Undergravel Filter, 7-1/2-Inch by 15-Inch

This was great to start out with. Soon though this caused my tank to cloud up and the ammonia levels to spike.

I use this size in my 5.5 gallon betta tank and a larger model in my 50 gallon along with a hang on back filters and the water is crystal clear. The only reason I mark them down is that their replacement cartridges are frequently ill-fitting and tough to replace. I'm not sure if there's some secret to this or if mine are just badly molded parts but every so often I have this problem. You can use them without the cartridges and as long as you have a hang on back or other filtration you'll be fine.

It was difficult to put together. The little clear o-rings were very stubborn. In the end, it was annoying to get in and didn't really do what I wanted. Of course, I wasn't sure I wanted an undergravel filter. I'm pretty sure my opinion isn't worth much on this product. Just stretch out the o-rings before you try to fit them on. :)

These foam filters are easy to install and fit perfectly in my fluval 405 filter. I usually rinse them 2 or 3 times before I replace them, and they've worked really well for me.

These are definitely not the same quality as what you get when you buy the filter. They are super cheap, and the foam is spread out with much larger holes. Definitely won't do a good job filtering out larger particles.

I've been using maxi-jet pumps for years in various applications, and this one acted like pretty much every other one I've used: It usually starts on its own when plugged in, but sometimes the volute needs to be turned slightly to get the impeller to start turning. When it's running it's cool and quiet, unless there's too much restriction on the output, which causes the impeller to chatter.

In short, it acts like a maxi-jet!

This review might sound negative, but it really isn't. This is my go-to pump when I need a small, cheap, reasonably reliable pump to move water from one place to another. They mix saltwater, transfer it from the mixing barrel to the tanks, feed media reactors, etc.

These are my fall back pumps, as I've used them for over 20 years with marine (saltwater) aquariums. I've used them in sumps, corals, plants, fish (always with a strainer attached) and with maintenance, they have lasted on average 2 years each. Will continue to buy them.

One of my marine enthusiasts also had me try Rio pumps (when they came out years ago). They had sufficient output for sumps, but they also had electrical issues. Not a good thing in saltwater, since it is a good conductor of electricity, let alone for my corals and more delicate shrimp and fish :(

I removed all Rios and went back to these pumps. The sump pump I have is a larger different model, but love the Maxi Jets.

This is a powerful pump. I also have the 1200. The 600 has PLENTY of power. I use the 600 on the inside aquarium and the 1200 to power the outdoor pond/water feature. It is quiet.

Basically owned one and used it basically nonstop for approx. 3 months. Lost power and started making a lot of noise. The other one I have works good, no problems and I've been using it for about 3 or 4 months pretty much nonstop. Maybe I got a bad one? The seller said they would take it back though.

Ordered this pump based on having one of the same brand that works great. Got this one I stalled and find it to be really noisy. Checked all I can and find nothing is wrong so I assume it is just a poor quality pump. Hope it lasts....

Contacted the company....called and talked to a female who took all my info with a promise of a return call.....nothing for 2 weeks. Tried calling and leaving messages for a couple more weeks with no return call or contact. Finally got thru to a guy who again took all the info and promised an email with results of my complaint.....still nothing a week later.....left a message again......no reply after 1 day. Really tired of the no answer policy thus place seems to have.

I thought there might be a chance to get a replacement......at least ask about it based on the loudness of the pump...but they cannot even tell me that they will do nothing. I will continue trying to contact them just becaues I want an answer....this time aiming for someone at the top.

I have been contacting the store in Ca. and they verified my online purchase and have never said I was talking to the wrong place. They did say I could contact the manufacturer but why should I have to go beyound the seller for service.....

I order this stand to use with a 12 gallon edge fluval tank which is 46 liters. There wasn't enough product info. Its okay up to 30 liter tanks, including us measure 6 gallon edge but not the 12 gallon. I returned but out shipping and have to find new stand when have all set up components but stand as this stand won't hold weigh of 12 gallons us Fluval tank. Insert in box say good for 6 gallon edge, a couple other tanks and weight limit for 30 liters should be in product description so you don't make my mistake. Make clear weight (tank capacity )it will support please in product description Amazon. 30 liters and check dimensions as used vertical or horizontal still no good for 12 gallon tank.
