I ordered this item along a similar product, Exotic Environments Stick Up Aquarium Ornament with suction cup back "Red Sea Reef with Brain Corals". Please note that the product featured on this page has a flat side that is intended to snug up against a wall or flat surface. Nice color and the suction cups seems to be pretty strong...it stuck on the wall of my tank without slipping even before the water was added. Keep in mind that these pieces are kind of chunky...almost as thick as they are wide. Wish they were a little larger and maybe flatter to cover more of the surface of my overflow box without sticking so far into the tank. Even so, they are a neat accent piece and I will probably be looking for a few more like it to decorate the back wall of my tank.

A HUGE disappointment. I expected it to be a little bigger and the colors are terrible. It's very dark in color, not at all like the picture.

The only thing that I think is wrong with it are the instructions. They come printed on the box and are not very specific so I had a hard time figuring out how to operate it. Overall, it's an awesome product!

An excellent looking and performing heater. Good features and is doing a really good job controlling the temperature. Worth the money, assuming it lasts. It's been performing admirably for a month already.

I bought this heater to replace a Fluval E series that was no longer holding a stable temperature. The temperature is much easier to set than the Fluval with only one button to press. The adjustment lever on the Fluval would stick making it hard to set. This is by far easier to adjust than any heater I've owned. The current temperature display is also easy to read from across the room. You can place the heater in any position because of the external sensor. The temperature fluctuates only within one degree F of the setting and I verified the current temperature display is accurate with a separate thermometer.

The heater arrived with one of the suction cups slightly deformed so that it wouldn't stick to the glass. I contacted the manufacturer and they responded within a day. I received a set of replacement suction cups about a week later free of charge. I highly recommend this product based on the quality of the product and customer service. I've been keeping aquariums for years and I know through experience that a quality heater is important, a malfunction can easily crash your tank.

We got this heater for our 10 gallon tank. We live in a warm climate where we don't always need to turn the heat on at night for ourselves, but do need to make sure that the fish tanks are still kept at the right temp. As I said this is being used in our 10 gallon tank. It's just short enough not to hit the bottom and I really like how the heater tells you the temp of the water. It's also really easy to operate and adjust the temp. if needed. It seems much better than our old heater. It was wicked easy to set up and has been in the tank for about a month now.

I got this heater for 5 gallon aquarium for my betta fish... My fishie was frustrated, started flaring (by its nature its a fighting fish and has territory issues lol) by the red light of the heater. I found a way to overcome this.. I had to arrange the heater so that the reflection of the red light doesnt fall on the glass of aquarium. Now my fishie really loves this one! It keeps circling happily around the heater when I turn it on. The glass material of heater was easy to clean however the plastic part gets slimy and needed more cleaning... External 5 Stage Canister Filter Pump Fish Tank Aquarium

Unbelievable filter( let alone ) for the price. I have dirty little cichlids in a 45 gal.....WOW! So Quiet all I can hear is the water rushing. The water looks"polished" after just a short while.Get this product if you have any water clarity issues. The unit came with all the filter media you need for a full start! Only problem was a dodgy instruction manual but if you have very basic commonsense you'll do fine. Took maybe 45 min to get set up perfectly!!!!!

I bought this filter because I needed to replace an older canister filter that just wasn't doing the job any longer. This unit was very easy to set up. Only issue that I ran into the priming the system. The big button on top wasn't pulling the water into the canister. After some thought, I took the input hose off of the canister & filled it with water from the tank. Once I had that line free of air, I connected it back to the canister. One pump later and the whole system took over on its own.

Two days into it, this filter is running with no leaks and is extremely quiet. The flow in the tank is very good and the clarity levels have increased dramatically. I would recommend this system to anyone looking for a canister filter and is serious about keeping thier tank clear and clean.

This is connected to a 75 gallon, freshwater, heavily planted tank. I was a little worried about the intake tube being so close to some of my plants. I had to change location of the intake tube a couple times and moved some driftwood to shield it from the leaves of some plants. Once that was accomplished, water flow was no problem.

In the very near future, I will be purchasing another of these canisters for my other tank.

I think this was marketed under Jebo and Odyssea filters. I looked up many reviews from years ago about this product.

I installed it a few weeks ago. NO leaks, VERY quiet.

The flow is not that great as is says, but they all rate the flow with no rise, no fiters, etc.

I did see a post that perhaps it could be used with a 220 current like they have in China. NOt sure if I'm going to try that yet.

Overall, I like it. It has a full 5 stages, and it's on my 125 gallon salt water tank, it's been on there about two weeks. I'm still cycling.

Look up all the old revies of the Jebo filters, looks exactly the same!

With my know how, I think it will run well for a while, it was about $80 shipped.

Aquatop IPF-305 Aquarium Internal Filter

I ordered these filters to assist during my weekly cleaning of a turtle tank. My canister filter does a great job of keeping the water clear but during water changes and filter maintainence, the water becomes really cloudy and dirty when all the dirt and grime that settles on the rocks and sand is stirred around.

These filters are incredible! Firstly, they come with various adapters that make them useful in many aquarium situations AND the flow rate is adjustable. Secondly, and most importantly, they work great. I replaced the filter media supplied by Aquatop with a slightly more dense sponge material (the sponge included with the filter is too porous in my opinion) and they work perfectly. I could not believe that my turtle tank was crystal clear within 30 minutes of a water change. Usually, it takes 2-3 hours with my having to stir the water repeatedly so sediment can be suspended in the water and flow through the canister filter.

Needless to say I ordered 2 more of these, just to keep around. Excellent filter with excellent flow.

Poor quality. I know why it is 20 dollars and has only one review. The power was weak. Didn't stand up to my 40 gallons, even though it says up to 100

Small World® Filter Units & Replacement Cartridges for Small Tanks

I first discovered these a few years ago when I got a 19-cent goldfish at the pet store. I was determined to give him/her a long life, but I didn't want to invest in a whole big aquarium layout. I knew that an unfiltered bowl was a recipe for disaster so I tried this.

It's a terrific system. The little filter attaches to an inexpensive pump you buy separately. Suction cups hold the filter in place inside a bowl of your choosing. The filter is pretty small so I wouldn't recommend a tank that's much larger than 2 or 3 gallons. I am also not sure this device would work on a spherical bowl -I THINK you need something with at least one flat side.

The filters are inexpensive and super super easy to swap out after a couple weeks' use.

This little feeder goldfish was one of my favorite pet experiences and I attribute his long life (four years!!!) to his healthy bowl.

I uploaded a video so you can see the size and hear the pump.

When we first won two goldfish for our two boys at a fair, we bought the bowl and rocks, but no filter. A week later, one of the fish died, even though I have been changing the water with filtered water.

Now that we have this filter, the fish have been very healthy and the water much clearer.

I still change the water out each weekend, and wash the rocks and inside of the bowl because it gets pretty slimy. So far the fish seem to be really happy.

The main con is the pump is a little noisy, hence four stars.

When I ordered a Filter replacement, I got the wrong product:

I needed the SWF-1C rectangular cartridge but I ordered from ToysNGames and received the SWF2C cylindrical instead.

I highly recommend this for a small 2 gallon fishbowl to help keep the water clear instead of having your fish swim in stagnant water.

Each time I switch out the water, I have to rinse the filter case as well since there is a layer of slime? The white filter part turned tan after about 3 weeks.

I change the water with carbon filtered water every week and add some water treatment.

So far, my comet goldfish has been pretty happy.

Again, the correct replacement filter needed is the SWF-1C

Handy little filter for my fishbowl. Keeps the bowl real clear even with a live plant inside. I have it clipped onto the top of my bowl with my own clip because it's designed for a flat walled aquarium. Also the pump is a navy blue, not teal as in the picture, which I like better.

I love this aquarium. I am a fish lover and have various tanks in my house. I saw this and thought this is definitely something differnt, not only in looks but in function. The set up was easy, just hang it on your wall and add water and fish. There is a control panel on the side that maintains all the components, filtration, airflow, etc. We have it in out foyer so people see it right when they come in. We've gotten so many positive comments and even our friends have purchased a couple!!

I ordered the tank with the silver frame to match our stainless equipment in our kitchen and it looks great! I actually received the aquarium the next day! Set up was a little bit of a challenge as the depth is only 3 3/8" inches on the inside on the tank and I put a couple of plants and a piece of driftwood ( found me a few pieces of African driftwood with a depth of less than 3 3/8", terrific selection and excellent prices too). I originally put substrate (for shrimp) over a mesh covering the semi open bottom and the aquarium was overtaxed and became violently ill. I remedied the problem by slowly taking everything out and replacing the substrate with gravel and it works great now. The tank is very well designed and thought out and it comes with a net, cleaner pad on a pole, gravel (white), a mechanically manipulated mini grabber and everything you need except fish. Well written instruction manual with company phone number and a problem section which got me through the subsrtate problem. It definitely looks amazing, but I was a bit confused by the filtering and cycling, so lost some fish in the first go around. Spoke to customer service and learned that I need to cycle the tank and only add 1-2 fish per month. The temperature does seem to rise warmer than what I would like it to be, but spoke to the company and they explained that it is a heater, not a chiller. So far, the fish seem to be doing great, and people love how they look. I may order a custom background from the company and put our company logo in there.

If you have a 20 gallon or less tank, this plant will have a major impact. It is very full in the tank, and dramatic as the tops will float on top in a standard tank set-up. I've used Chemi-Pure in a number of different filters and have always had amazing results. I've kept agressive chiclids, African chiclids, and marine fish and live rock tanks using Chemi-Pure. My water always tested very well.

If you've never used Chemi-Pure before, you need to determine how many bags you need. I had a Marineland Magnum canister that required 2 bags to fill the carbon canister (it was a tight fit though).

I am a huge fan of using multiple filters with different filter media in them. This enables you to clean one out while leaving the other one undisturbed so as not to harm the good bacteria the tank needs. No matter how good your chemical media is, you need to stock properly, feed judiciously, and perform your tank maintenance. Chemi-Pure is good, but it won't make up for neglect.

I love this stuff, at least as much as you can love bags of charcoal and ion exchange resins. I'd only suggest it if you have a canister filter. I use an Eheim 2211 and it works great.

I bought this because it absorbs nitrates and phosphates. I don't want to mess with live plants. I have a 10 gallon with three fish at about 70% bioload. My nitrates stay at a constant 10 ppm. They don't go up, they don't go down. I've had my aquarium up and running for a few months and still haven't had to do a water change. Apparently, I should only have to change this once every six months.

I'll never go back to just activated carbon again.

The heater that arrived does not look exactly like the one in the picture. That said, I am 100% satisfied with this heater. I put this 50 watt heater in a 5 gallon Corydoras Habrosus breeding tank, and it has already been through a month-and-a-half breeding cycle with varying temperatures. The temperature dial is about 2-4 degrees off, but I am used to having to calibrate heaters (even the expensive ones seem to be a bit off). For the price and quality, these heaters cannot be beat. I will be ordering another one soon for a new grow out tank. Be aware that the cord is short.

The goldfish in our pond love this food. Previous years we used a regular goldfish flake food, and always had algae problems (it never occurred to me there might be a different food for pond fish versus aquarium fish). I'm not sure if this food is what's helped so much this year, but this year we have a crystal clear pond and seemingly super happy fish. I know it, because this summer I could actually see them! I'm ordering PondCare 180 Spring & Autumn Pellet Fish Food for the cooler months.

I take care of a large outdoor pond with about 5 Large Koi, 10 Medium Size Koi, and 30 smaller fish, in addition there is a turtle and two frogs. The pond is covered in lily pads and other water plants. I was feeding the fish food made by Hikari and the fish seemed to go right after it and it never lasted more than a minute. I switched to Pond Care Summer Food for two reasons it was cheaper and I was curious to see what Summer Food was about. My fish dont seem to go after the floating pellets at all. I can reason that there is so much plant life that it is hard for them to see the pellets and that it is so hot (average 105 a day in Vegas) but I know that before I made the switch the fish attacked the pellets and now they seem to float for some time before the fish go after the food.

I will be switching back to Hikari when this bag is done.

Mr. Aqua MA-006 Biological Filter Media

I bought 2 boxes of this filter media. I was leary of it, because it was so inexpensive. It seems more porous then other ceramic filter media I have bought, which I hope means it won't clog and need cleaning. It is dustier then more expensive brands, but a good rinsing and the fish never know. Makes great stuffing for the squirrels I shoot in the back yard. They are very realistic. I put them in action poses to entertain the neighborhood children.
