I had trouble finding a hooded light system for my 5.5 gallon tank that wasn't going to be a cheap product with weak lighting, and i didn't want to have to just get a clear cover and then set a light over it. This hood works perfectly for what i wanted. The lighting is great, and makes the tank look awesome. the switch is covered so it doesn't get wet and the light instantly comes on when you flip it. Also doesn't get very hot when left on for several hours.
This is an easy and cheap way of testing PH. It doesn't need to be calibrated like the electronic ones , just put the water that needs tested in the tube, then a couple drops of the liquid , shake and match the color up on the supplied PH chart.

I got this to test my pH while setting up a freshwater tank. Where I live, the water is quite hard, so I knew some adjustments would be needed. This is a very simple to use kit and the laminated card that tells you the explanation of the test result colors is great. However, because it only goes up to 7.5, I had to do a lot of guesswork to get my tank down to those levels. The color stays the same until the pH falls down to the levels this kit is designed for not a design flaw at all, but it isn't the most effective kit when you live in a hard water area. I suspect the same would be the case if you live somewhere with very soft water, too.if your growing plants. then one of these is very handy. i ordered 5. and according to professional growers. ph test kits such as these are very suggested because they are very accurated. although expensive ph meter/ or test pens are also good, they are expensive around 80 and you can use it for a certain amount of times then you have to calibrate it again to increase the potency in accuracy. I avoid doing that because a good digital ph is like 80+ and plus the calibration to calibrate it back to default is extra. so i purchased 5 of these to get free shipping and got it. and each pack works for 250 times or 250 tests. so this is definitely a good deal to get. before you order make sure you find out the ph level you need to achieve for either your plants or fish tanks. instructions seems tricky at first but look at the same card. fill water till line. 3 drops. shake it up. and match colors.

I've been running the Azoo Mignon filter in my fish tank for about two months now and it runs like a champ. It is very quiet (unless the water level in the tank drops, and then I just need to refresh the water levels--no fault of the filter) and seems to do a very good job keeping the tank clean. I have been using it on a smaller 5-gallon tank and I turned the flow down some so the water isn't so turbulent. My goldfish (the only occupant in my tank) seems to like it and I see him hanging out occasionally around the spillway--he seems to like the slight briskness of the flow. I would highly recommend it. I'm sure it would do a fine job in a larger tank too.

I have a regular 30 gallon tank. I don't think the plastic around the top is any wider than it is on any other tank, but this filter would not fit on it.
Worked like a charm. I have a saltwater aquarium. I took out a quart of water from the aquarium, dropped one tab per 10 gallons (I have a 30 gallon tank = 3 tabs), let the tabs completely dissolve. Then I added the water back into the tank. The next day I tested zero for ammonia.

I hate to use these because it's far healthier for my fish if I just do a proper vacuum and water change as scheduled. That said, if I know they'll have to wait a couple more days then I'll go ahead and use these as directed. The fish don't like it and neither do I, but it doesn't seem to harm them either. When I don't use this product they hold up just fine over those couple days' delay, so I truly don't think it's necessary to buy these. When I use it, it's to pretend that I'm doing something constructive for my poor fish but the truth is I've dropped the ball and they're swimming in ammonia because the tank needs a cleaning and dropping these Ammoniea Clear tablets only irritate them in addition to the ammonia-loaded water. I've noticed no noticeable improvement in water appearance or fish health from using these so I don't recommend buying these. I have three (soon to be five) tanks, and after setting up the third I quickly realized that lugging buckets for all of them twice a week just wasn't an option. I purchased the Lee's gravel vac and haven't looked back since! It is wonderful, and works perfectly. It is true that the plastic adapter that it comes with must be replaced, but $6 and a trip to the hardware store solves that issue. It hardly makes the product "useless", unless you're ridiculous enough to toss it over such a small issue. The lower price point more than makes up for the small fix.

I've had a python for 5 years and was stupid last time I put it away and didn't make sure all the water was out of it and behold, mold! I was looking for something fast on here (since I have prime) and not overly expensive. Lee's was always at the pet store so figured I'd try it. This kit is great quality and fairly easy to use. I would recommend it (and have) to anyone with a tank. The plastic faucet adapter is virtually useless. Luckily I bought the metal one since I was unsure if an adapter was included in the kit. Great find, glad i bought it!
It got old (and expensive) replacing the halogen bulbs every few months. So I switched to these and they're wonderful. Not too expensive but much brighter, don't get as hot, and should last a very long time. This is an easy decision, get these bulbs. Highly recommended.

I had previously purchased other LED's for my Fluval, but was always weary of the fact that they were not the Fluval brand. This may be a very good product but I've only used it once because it turned the water in my tank brown for days. I may try it again when I know I'm not having guests (yes, it looked that bad) because I like the premise an easy and ecological way to clean the tank of that yucky stuff on the bottom.

I really like this light. The one in my aquarium has become so dim that I couldn't even see my betta, Rufus, anymore. I had to use a small flashlight to find him, even in the daylight. Now, I can see him, and his beautiful tank. The light is nice looking, and classy, and very easy to use. Worth the money. I bought this stand to replace an old particle board and laminate tank stand I had. I put it together today and it was a breeze. Super simple assembly. It appears to be very sturdy as well. It's not much to look at, and there's no storage underneath, but it seems like a solid piece.

This tank is only suitable for a hospital tank or when doing water changes. It is too small for one Betta, much less two. I used to have a betta in one of these tanks, and then I moved him to a ten gallon tank. He looked so much happier. He flared his fins more and he swam around the whole tank. If you really want to enjoy watching your betta, do not get this tank.
I call this the Betta Condo it is perfect for the Betta fish, but I am sure you can use it for other fish. I have purchased 3 of these for my fish, using it after the Marina mini cube. Marina is Great, a great home for any fish, my choice the Betta!

I bought this for accuracy but it isn't really. I went online and found a ton of blogs where people were going off on this thermometer. Basically everyone was saying how it was always showing a cooler temp than the tank actually was. Everyone was "cooking" their fish and or plants because they kept turning up their heaters to compensate. Be careful. I bought four different mercury thermometers to test this out. They all read warmer temperatures than the digital one was showing.

I bought this thermometer for my reef tank about 4 years ago and find it to be extremely inaccurate. I've experienced the same problem with the thermometer as others have already commented; lower than actual temperature readings. It wouldn't be that much of a problem if the difference between the actual temperature and what is displayed were constant but it's not. There are wild swings in the temperature reading. Right now, the actual temperature in my tank is 82F but what is displayed is 72.1F almost a 10 degree difference. Yesterday it was reading around 78F. I have two other thermometers in my tank and they are reading the same temperature +/0.1 degree. I can't figure out what makes the coralife have such varying temperature readings since it's been in the same location in the tank from day one and I have one of my other thermometers no more than an inch away and that one reads accurately. The probe side suction cup doesn't stay where I put it in the tank and keeps coming off. So the probe just floats in the middle of the tank...not fun. The off button is a pain also. The item was poorly packed for shipment and when I opened it it seemed a bit flimsy. One concern I had before ordering was that it would not be good for my mice. However the bars are close enough together that nobody can escape. It has two nice size doors which allowed me to add two small mouse running wheels while not clogging up the whole second level. All I can say in the end is that the mice LOVE their new digs; this is far far far better than the plastic garbage that the pet stores sell. Like I said, it is kind of cheaply constructed but it serves its purpose well in terms of squeaky approval so who am I to complain?

This was just as it appears, and in great condition! Came in a huge box and I did not have to assemble! My pet rats (2) are happy, and this is a great size cage with the aquarium on the bottom for 2 of the little critters!

Initially I had purchased a Performer 2005 and received it broken. Apparently it took a hard hit somewhere in the shipping process to Amazon and the whole body was shattered and in pieces. Called Amazon and they were wonderful (as usual, that is why I am a Prime Member and try to ONLY buy through Prime). They immediately sent out the 3005 because they had no more 2005's in stock and I needed a skimmer for my 450 gallon tank. Got the 3005 and the top of the collection cup was cracked all the way through around where the cap attached to the circular underside. OK, that was not a deal breaker since the skimmer could function with the cap cracked. Set up the unit and waited for the break in period which is usually no longer than a week. Called Hydor and they told me that it could take up to 10 days. By the 10th day it was still doing nothing. Called Hydor again and they told me to take the sponge out of the Seltz pump which was running it. Well then it decided to overflow all over the place...I had 5 gallons of water all over the room, so I called them again and they said it should not do that, then they decided that there must have been an error in lining up the outlet valve so the markings on the unit did not correspond with the amount of water it was letting out. Then it decided to go from nothing to overflowing Again and dumped out another 5 gallons on the floor. At that point I had had enough and called Amazon who cheerfully issued the call tag and is issuing a full refund.

These filters are perfect. We have a red eared slider and they are pretty messy. These filters do a great job of keeping his home clean. I've ordered them before and not had a problem yet. The only thing I would like to see is that you get three in a pack. Our tank has 2 filters so we have to order two boxes at a time. That gives us 3 changes. I would rather see 4 filters in a box. I would have to order less often. With free shipping they cost less than at the pet stores or Wal-Mart.
