Littlest Pet Shop Fish Tank - 2.5 Gallons

My daughter got this for Christmas and adores it. It was easy to set up and she was so excited to choose the fish for it.

Highly recommended.

This is a cute tank. Very colorful and easy to use. It is a little small for most fish. Makes a good soft night light, but does not have a good tank light. 4 yr old likes it.

My daughters loved it for a Christmas present. I like the fact that the top dome lights up for a night-light. The only thing is, they are a little flimsy, I was cleaning one of the two and some how the bottom cracked and water went in every direction!

This little tank has proved to be a most wonderful gift....would have rather it come in a more neutral color however, the lights and the color changes make a most delightful night light for our child's bookcase headboard. He can watch his fish and enjoy the lovely colors of the lights while he falls to sleep at night.

My 4 year old daughter wanted her own pet, and was sold on getting a Beta fish. We got her this one and it works great. Her first Beta, "Fishy Wishy" seems to love it too. However, I DO agree with the previous poster; it's FAR overpriced here. We got ours at Wal-Mart for just under $ bucks.

Reef One Biorb Heater Pack

This item itself works great and has been reliable, but the fit for the BiOrb tank itself doesnt quite work..

the tank is a sphere so they should have found/or made accessories that can fit the concavity of the inner walls of the tank. It comes with a plastic wall adapter that does not work. Directions with the heater are limited and does not explain too much in terms of installing.

This heater is a breeze to install. i dont know what size orbs the others were commenting on that were having issues. It is fully submersable so the owner that was afraid to drop it in should read the directions. Maybe the smaller orbs have a tighter sphere making it more difficult to install. I own the 16 gallon biorb and i had no problems. Will try to post a pic so you can check out what it looks like.

this heater works fine but will not fit into the BiOrb with the suction cups inclosed. You just have to let it dangle in the tank by the cord and hope it does not go into the water.

Zilla 11435 Fresh Air Screen Cover, 48-Inch by 18-Inch

This product is exactly what it is advertised to be. It fits perfectly over the top of my 80-gallon aquarium (used for a turtle). It's pretty light-weight so it's easy to pick up and move around when I feed/clean the tank.

My only complaint is that some smaller versions of this screen cover come with the option of a small section that you can lift for feeding, but for one this large I could only find them as a whole piece and I have to move the ENTIRE cover every time I feed my turtle.

Fit the cage perfectly :)...and the best part is I no longer walk into the bearded dragon's room to see my cat laying inside the cage with the dragon on top of his head -_-.

The lid arrived quickly which I was glad about. I opened the box up and put it on my terrarium and it fit perfectly. But the sides were all bent up and it didn't fit snug. There were a lot of gaps on the front lip. So I still have to weight it down so that it seals so my snake doesn't get out.

I ordered this in hopes that maybe it wouldnt be delivered by the UPS union so that it would not be messed up. Unfortunately it was delieverd by them and it was completely bent and damaged. The screen itself is really poor quality and should have a metal bar in the middle to support the screen. Due to scarcity of money i have to fix the screen and now it is ok but still very terrible quality.

Based on the other review and the picture I thought this would be flexible silicone, like a koosh ball or something similar. I was surprised at how stiff it was. It does not flow in the water at all, however, I will say that it looks very nice and my clown fish likes to play in it anyway. But if you want a really soft, flowing anemone, this one is not for you.

Lee's The Ultimate Gravel Vac 50' Kit

This hose is complete JUNK, a terrible successor to the Python. The Nozzle never worked. I had to use a Python replacement (I found online). The connecter valves broke (leaking, and the switch completely snapped off) after 3 uses, I ordered a replacement valve and that doesn't work either! Water leaking all over. Not to mention, the hose is just more narrow enough to make drawing water a HUGE challenge. I have used the Python for years, and was told this was the exact same thing: IT ISN'T and I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO to change the water in my TEN aquariums from now on. DO NOT BUY THIS IT DOESN'T WORK. By the way: I have talked to OTHER CUSTOMERS in our local fish store and THEY ARE HAVING THE SAME EXPERIENCE. Also: THE STAFF AT THE FISH STORE ALSO ADMITS the valves and even the NOZZLE doesn't work RIGHT OUT OF THE BAG. WATER SPRAYING EVERYWHERE and they tried to sell me that white thread tape to tape the plastic cheap joints...COME ON. I HATE IT. Water ALL OVER MY HOUSE.

Works as stated. Plastic is not the strongest but shouldn't break that easy. Only problem for me is that the siphon is only as fast as the faucet. Basically if the faucet is not on all the way the siphon will not be as strong. So of you pay for water that's a lot of money down the drain. No pun intended.

Overall this fish tank is great. It fits perfectly on my desktop. The only issue I have is that the LED light that it comes with cannot be hooked up to a timer. The hood/light are so custom that I had to order a submersible light to get around this issue.

This is the "budget brother" of the original......The original Ocean Treasures aquariums have a center tube to funnel all the wires. The original also comes with a "REEF" to completely hide the wires. The original is also close to $400!!

The photo can be a bit deceiving as this unit DOES NOT INCLUDE A REEF. If you want the reef, you can get it for around $30 at petsmart.

HOWEVER, for the money, we are very happy with this unit. The LED light stick is very nice; and the small filtration unit is sufficient for an aquarium this size. Set up is easy. Just be aware you will need a heater; and, because of it's heigth, a bubbler is a must.

110V 100W Watt Anti-Explosion Submersible Aquarium Fish Tank Water Heater

This is a great heater. I bought the 100 Watt version for my 20 gallon tank. The water temperature has been consistently heated to the desired temperature. It is pretty short; which is nice since I have a 20 gallon long tank. The heater suction cups and holder are very sturdy and secures nicely to the side of the tank.

There is only one drawback, the cord is short. This isn't a problem where my tank is located, but I know for others this could be a big problem. Luckily a short cord can be mediated with extension cables. Most people have an extra hanging out somewhere, so problem solved.

All in all, this is a great heater, especially for the price. I highly recommend this product!!! I give it 5 stars because I didn't find the short cord to be an issue.

This prodect does excellently for mixing saltwater. My 5gallon mixing tub is heated consistantly, and it hasn't blown up, boiled the water, or shut off so far! It is easily adjustable, and it works well for such a small amount of water.

The cord is short, but isn't a problem for me since my mixing tub is right next to the outlet. I can see this being a problem for others though.

After researching all over the internet for a good quality heater, this one actually works and does what it says.

thermostat doesn't work properly. i ran it for 12 hrs and it stayed at the temp i got it at.

when i got home, the temp was WAY high and i'm surprised my fish didn't die.

also 'crazy cart' sent the package to my STREET with no house number. item was almost sent back but i got ahold of USPS.

crazy cart would not take responsibility for their error.

one day later it exploded and got glass and god knows what inside the tank. temp also went super high.

my fish hasnt acted the same way since.

i examined the electrical components and it looks very poorly assembled.

it looks like water entered the heater and caused it to short out.

This is a very nice background. It was tall enough to cover my vertical tank without having to overlap the pattern. However, if you have any bright lighting behind the tank, the pattern on the other side will show through.

I'm happy with this for the money. The quality of the lamination is as good as anything I've seen in the stores. I would give it more stars if it was a bit more vivid in it's coloring. The coloring is excellent for a natural look, my wife likes the fish-tank to 'pop' a bit more than this does.

The quality control on these must be terrible. While one worked (for how long, who knows...) the other rattled like it was full of rocks. Not even close to right.

Spio III CO2 Diffuser - Glass Reactor for Aquarium Plants

Just purchased two of these diffusers for my 55 gallon planted aquarium. Received them very quickly and am happy to say that I received exactly what I wanted. Not only do they perform extremely well (producing tiny little bubbles that are easily absorbed by the water before they reach the surface), but they look really cool too. I am currently using them with a homemade reactor (2 liter soda bottle, some airline tubing, silicon glue and a mixture of 1/2 tsp yeast, 2 cups of sugar and 1.5 liters of warm water) and it works great! I hope to buy a real CO2 system (running on CO2 canisters) when I have a little extra allowance, but now wondering why when my homemade solution works so well. BTW, these diffusers would work just great with a store-bought CO2 system as well. At any rate, I'm very happy with my high-quality product and it is Amazon Prime -bonus!

This product arrived intact and as described. Since it has been in the tank my plants have been thanking me every day. All the plant are "pearling" by mid afternoon and late into the evening and the existence of photosynthesis has become undeniable. I have an Aquatek co2 regulator that is factory set to 30 PSI output pressure and this has enough for great co2 diffusion. As mentioned by other users, the bubbles are a little big at first and then subside to smaller sizes after a few hours as the ceramic begins to soak. This is my first co2 diffuser so I don't really have anything to compare it to but this certainly serves it's intended purpose well and most bubbles don't make it to the surface of my tank.

Biggest complaint I had was that it did not come with a suction cup....... How am I supposed to attach it to the tank? Stuff it into the substrate? Luckily I had a suction cup laying around the house that was close enough in size to work but is not really my permanent solution. Now I have to find a place to order custom suction cups or find another route. I'm glad I had something close enough laying around.

This diffuser creates a very fine co2 flow, no issues so far, although when I received it there was a good sized chip in the glass just above the ceramic diffuser disk, I took a chance at not wasting a week or two in returning based on the overall cost. I was happy to see that once pressure was applied that it did not crack the glass, would be 5 stars if not for the chipped glass.

Received this in once piece, however the unit leaked where the spiral meets the inside of the cup. There are also leaks around the diffuser disc, causing some pretty large bubbles. This seems to be a cheap Chinese knock-off. I'm pretty disappointed.

biOrb Cleaner Pump

This is my first aquarium cleaner since I'm new to the hobby. I didn't like the idea of putting my mouth on a hose, so I thought I'd give this pump-action one a try. It was easy to use and did the job well. It took only a few pumps to get the water flowing out of the tank and into a bucket, and it seemed to do a good job of cleaning the gravel as well. I used it on a 10-gallon tank made by another company. I would recommend this item.

This pump takes a few good, hard squeezes to get it going, but then it works quickly. Good suctioning of the fish doo-doo and surprised me how fast my tanks emptied. I had to be real careful on the 1 gallon one!

I used to have a regular siphon to clean my tank and I had a hard time getting it to start at first (I had to learn how to use it through a few YouTube videos). But this siphon makes it SUPER easy! All you have to is pump it a few times and it starts! And honestly, I HATE cleaning my aquarium...but now I don't mind anymore!

I bought mine from amazon, not the seller that has his fulfilled by amazon so I did receive a genuine item. I wanted to use this to clean the gravel on my 2.5 gallon tank but unfortunately it sucks the water so fast that it quickly drains the aquarium. If I had a larger tank, ie. 10 gallon and above, I think it would be fine, but doing close to a 80-90% water change just ends up stressing the fish. Also I wish this came with some better instructions as well.

I bought this to use on a regular 10 gallon (non-BiOrb) tank. It's a lot easier than my old gravel vacuum to get the water started. I also bought a 5 gallon bucket at Walmart to use with this cleaner. I just siphon the water into the bucket right below, which makes cleaning a piece of cake. Then, I re-use the water by watering my plants and trees outside because I figure there should be some nutrients in it (I could be totally wrong though, never researched it).

It's definitely not as powerful as my old standard gravel vacuum. This is mainly because there is a plastic "net" on the gravel end which prevents gravel from entering the tube. The problem I have is that the gravel sticks to the net when water is flowing and obstructs the hole for the nasty stuff to go in. I just have to shake the hose a lot to make the gravel fall off the pump. Overall, this pump does a pretty good job and is very easy to use.

The pump functions, but it has very little head to it. If you need to raise the tube even one foot above the water height it stops pumping. It might work fine for a small filter system but didn't work for my purposes. I returned it and got my money back.

Aqua Culture 5-15 Gallon Single Outlet Aquarium Air Pump

I wanna do violent things to the Chinese slave labor who assembled this product.

The two-start review already covered it. The little white plastic nozzles (diaphragm) you connect the airline to will break off (for no reason) and kill your plants.

I had connected a piece of airline to one of the nozzles (only once) and kept the same airline attached from the day I purchased the pump until the day the plastic white nozzle fell off. I can understand if you're constantly reattaching airlines how the nozzle would eventually show wear, but there was no wear.

The pump broke one day without even being touched. The little white plastic nozzle broke under its own PSI. All air pressure lost: my hydroponics plant is nearly dead after one night.

This pump should be shoved up someone's ass.

BTW this pump costs $6 in the pets section at Walmart.

These Amazon sellers are deceptive.

Aqua Culture is Wal-Mart's brand and it's accordingly cheaper there than here. However I'd advise against buying it at either place. The diaphragm breaks almost at once and the thing stops pumping air. This model is a little better than the 60 gallon, but they're both junk and you'll be buying a new one soon after you've "saved a few bucks" by buying this.

The only problem I have with this is it is way too noisy, even when it is just plugged in without the hose. I don't know if it is defective and just needs to be exchanged for another one or if this is just a bad brand. I will be returning it to Walmart and buy the same one again and see if that one is loud if it is I'm done with Aqua Culture.
