Penn Plax PBV1 7-Day Vacation Fish Feeder
After three days these things hadn't started to dissolve. So, I fed the bettas a little of their regular food figuring that when I am going to leave on vacation, I could drop these in a few days ahead, giving the tablets time to start working.
After another day on this trial run, I did notice the tablets starting to dissolve. I hoped the fish would eat it... But there was no sign of any of the stuff being eaten. The tablets disolved at different rates. Of the ten, a couple of them didn't seem to dissolve much at all in a week. One of my ten bettas died on the sixth day. Another looked very weak, and even after another week of normal care hasn't recovered to normal.
If I don't come up with a better solution before vacation, I will just feed them twice a day, rather than once a day for a couple days before leaving, then give them one last big feeding as I leave the house. I'll still drop these tablets in with them in case they will decide to eat some of it.
Once these things do dissolve, it just looks like colored slime on the battom of the bowl. I definitely will not buy again.

I've bought this feeder before one of my long weekends so I wouldn't have to worry about feeding my Betta. In a middle of the week I decided to make sure it works while I'm still home. I dropped it in aquarium. My first reaction was: "Why did it drown?"; Bettas are surface feeders. So, I thought, maybe the released food will float up? It didn't.Totally useless product.

Contacted seller (HorseLoverZ / EasyPetStore) on Amazon and eBay about this item. Claimed manufacturer gave her the stock photo. The manufacturer denied this saying that the picture is NOT of the item. The photo and the item do not match. In the photo, it shows three separate hinged partitions. The item only has one hinge.Communication from the seller is poor and NOT recommended.

Pro Heater
The only downside is that it consistently runs 2-3 degrees low: I have it set to 80, and it keeps the tank at 77-78. That wasn't hard to figure out, though, and it does hold the water at a steady temperature.
Given the horror stories I've read about other heaters, I'll take one that runs low and steady over one with serious problems any day.
Update: A month later, it's still rock solid, responsive to changes in temperature (like when I add water during a water change), and performing well. After having an Aqueon 100 watt heater for three years, I noticed that the temperature in my fish tank was not coming down from about 80 degrees even when I set the dial on top to 72. I called Aqueon, and told them that I tested the temperature with two different thermometers (one being digital). I also told them that I never took the heater out of the tank, so it never had a chance to get damaged that way. I also have a UPS on my tank/heater, so if there is a power outage, the heater is protected with a surge protector, and stays on for at least an hour with the battery backup. Here is what I just emailed Rob at Aqueon who didn't want my old heater back, and immediately sent me a replacement "Pro" heater at no charge, even for shipping:
"Hi Rob, I just wanted to let you know that I got the replacement heater, and installed it yesterday. I set it about halfway between 76 and 80, so as to try to achieve a 78 temperature in my 26 gal. tank. I may have been off a bit in my setting on the dial on top of the heater, as this AM when the temperature in my house is 72, my tank is now at 79 (within +/1°). This is a success to me, as my tank never went below 80 to 82 with the previous heater. I have a full glass top and a full wood cover on my tank, and that seems to keep the heat and condensation inside my tank. But, I'm now convinced that my previous Aqueon heater made of glass eventually had a defective thermostat, so I appreciate your good lifetime warranty service that backs up what Aqueon says on its website: "All Aqueon heaters are guaranteed for life."Very good aquarium heater. Once installed it brought a 55 gallon tank up to temp in a little over 2 hours. Been constant ever since!!

Don't know what to say, it's a great heater! It works great and keeps my tank nice and warm.If your confused on what wattage to get, use this guide:
20 gal 50 watt
40 gal 100 watt
50 gal 150 watt
65 gal 200 watt
75 gal 250 watt
This is a rough estimate, it depends on how cold your house is which, obviously, effects how cold your water is. For example for a 55 gallon tank I got a 200 watt heater to be on the safe side.
Hope this helps! :-)I've had several heaters in the past. Most of them had a sliding scale of Hot and Hotter. This one has a temperature gauge with ACTUAL NUMBERS on it. Not only that, they work too! I'm so pleased with this heater. It's awesome, and way better than the others I've had in the past. It looks better too.

I bought this to use on my glass aquarium so note that it only works on glass and will scrape acrylic or plastic. It does what it's made for and cleans the glass well, but the handle came with some blue paint/ink on it for either being used before or from damage during the manufacturing process. So you get what you pay.Read Best Reviews of JW Pet Company 14-Inch Aquarium Algae Scrubber Here

Fish Bubble
Again they're a good product. There is nothing wrong with the design or manufacture. This fish bowl is WONDERFUL! It is super-easy to install, and really user-friendly. I like that the opening is a bit smaller than the bowl itself, to help prevent any disasters from acrobatic fish leaping. Ours is in our M.Bath, housing Little Bleu, a beautiful beta that matches the decor. The bowl reminds me of a submarine window, in reverse. I like that our family cat cannot get to the fish-cat can watch, but has no access whatsoever. I plan on getting another soon.i liked that everything was shipped very quickly, thanks very much for these items i have them mounted on my bed room wall. every one love them and thanks for doing business w/ me .i recommend these items to my family n friends.Easy to clean and doesn't take up space..it's beautiful. The fish is thriving and the cats love to watch but can't reach it..It's a very pretty display on the wall, it's out of reach of our other pet, and our fish Frank loves it! It was a big improvement in life from the Walmart cup we bought him in... lol
Hydra Aquatic CO2 Paintball Adapter
Update: 3/21/2013 Things are still running smoothly and the adapter is working well--no problems (knock on wood).THIS IS NOT A CGA-320 ADAPTER!!! I have no idea what it fits (must be some proprietary solenoid).
AMAZON PLEASE TAKE NOTE!!!
To review...
I have a planted fish tank, which I assume you do too if you are looking at this item. Like me, you are probably interested in using a paintball CO2 tank to provide your CO2 (maybe it's a cheaper tank, maybe it's easier to refill, maybe the smaller CO2 tank fits your cabinet better all the reasons I need to ditch the huge 5lb CO2 tank). Here's the problem... the paintball tank has a needle valve, so you can't just screw on your usual regulator (the needle needs to be pushed in, which would have happened by squeezing the trigger on the paintball gun, for CO2 to be released typical regulators and CO2 tanks don't have any needle). Thus the need for an adapter, which screws onto the paintball tank, pushes in the pin, and then you hook up your regulator to the other end.
The problem... the standard size screw fitting in the US is CGA 320. Tanks have the male end, regulators have the female end, all fits together well. CGA 320 is just under an inch in diameter (sometime like 0.8). The description of this product says CGA 320. Sounds good right? WRONG the paintball side is CGA 320, but the regulator side is way smaller, something like 0.5 inch. Standard regulators wont fit. Maybe I got the wrong one, but do yourself a favor and buy the aquatek version (which is a few $$ more expensive... serves me right for trying to go for the cheapo version without ratings).
Otherwise, this thing looks pretty nice and seems sturdy. Might be useful if you actually have the appropriate regulator...

First, don't be fooled by this adaptor. It is a very specific thread meant only to replace Fluval's proprietary threaded 88g co2 cartridges. This is a great product that will save you a lot of money in the long run. It works perfectly for replacing the expensive, disposable 88g co2 cartridges for the Fluval co2 injection system. Currently using a 20oz paintball tank with no issues.

This adapter works perfectly with my Fluval CO2 delivery system. Now I don't have to use their expensive throw-away bottles and can use larger products meant for paintball guns. Thank you!Although the description does not say it, this product was made to work with the throw away type cartridges (Fluval 88g and Gulfstream 95g) it will not work for other reusable types. If you own a cartridge system and want to use a paint ball canister, this is your product.
