ATI Aquarium Thermometer

Five stars for being easy to read, easy to install (self adhesive). Less one star for not being the most accurate meter. (You'll be guessing within a degree or two.) However, as the minor variations in tempurature readings are probably not the worst problem I'll have with my fish, I highly recommend this product. Plus one star for not needing batteries... back to 5 stars.

I'm not sure how accurate this thermometer is but if you a looking to get a general idea of tank temperature at a super cheap price, my guess is its within 5 degrees and so far its lasted great. Just make sure not to stick it on the glass near the heater or it throws off the readings. Also not sure about the claim that its "removable/reusable".

I was shipped a different item without my knowledge or approval so I am sending them back. What I received were ATI thermometers that are shorter with bright orange numbers and outlines. The temperature colors are next to the bright orange numbers as opposed to the numbers and colors being together as in the photo. I don't want bright orange numbers that stick out like a sore thumb so back they go. Since I did not use them I'm grading them at 3 stars based on the fact that they are bright orange and not discrete. People should be looking at my fish not bright orange thermometers.

we have a 20 gallon fish tank with about six kois and comets and recently purchased the Marineland Millennium 3000 filter system and i must say we are very pleased with it. Our tank is always so crystal clear. All you need to do is rinse the cartridges every so often and re-use. we have used one for over a month without any problems.

this product is hard to find in pet stores for some reason. It seems to get clogged up and need replacing very quickly. It is always a pain to get them in and out of teh filter

Jardin Soft Silicone Aquarium Fish Tank Sea Urchin Ornament, 3-Inch Diameter, Hot Pink

It's a pink, soft, silicone sea anenomoe (not an urchin really as advertised but I knew that going into the purchase). My clown fish doesn't really like or dislike it but the hermit crabs seem to love the thing and are always crawling all over it.

U.P. Aqua Shrimp Sand

I've raised allot of different plants on allot of different substrates, and by far this stuff is my favorite. its a nice alternative to the much more expensive ADA amazonia. the only downside is the size its only about enough to fill a standard 5 gallon tank.

This substrate can't no longer buff my water ph. it's only been 4 months of use and my shrimp tank water can't go any lower than 7 ph.

I purchased several bags of U.P. Aqua Shrimp Substrate for a couple tanks (20 Long PFR/10 PRL) based off of being newer to the market and a few glowing reviews. Here in the US we do not get many of the substrates that are available in HK, Japan, and Europe due to import restrictions and lack of importers in general.

Overall, it does look good and is what I would consider the only reason I haven't gave it away. Small ~1MM grains are easy for shrimp to play with, and several of my PFRs like to actually dig into it while scavenging. The reason they are able to interact with it so much is entirely due to the lightweight of the grains. Planting anything with buoyancy is frustrating without using inert weights, including Java Ferns which will "walk" around the tank at night without them in the currents. Waving a few fingers through the water and creating a current will send little black grains everywhere. Ph Buffering ability is pretty much non-existent unless you fill 1/5 of a 10G tank which wasn't a primary concern of mine as I use a 5 stage RO/DI anyways. Tested with both house tap, RO, grocery store mineral water and could not see any significant Ph buffering. There was no ammonia spike detected which is nice.

That being said, it would look incredible in a small desk nano as long as you are not depending on it to do much else than be inert. In that aspect I gave it 3 stars on looks alone, and it didn't give me any cloudiness issues to speak of. I will keep it in a few tanks, but I cannot say I am willing to spend that much again for an inactive substrate. There are much better values around here (twice as much product, actually buffer 6.5, and cost half the price).

This is an exceptionally clean and attractive substrate and so far I am very impressed. It rinses nearly clear and partial water changes do not cloud the water. One bag does a 10 gallon tank adequately.

not much to say they are light bulbs that fit lighting systems in fish tanks. You get two for a good price. I would buy this again.

I purchased these gloves a little over 3 months ago. I work in an aquatics store, and my skin is very sensitive to being in the water. Before I switched to the gloves, my eczema was extremely severe. With the help of the gloves I was able to clear up my skin, but that meant using them every time I needed to be in the tanks, whether it were bagging fish for a customer or tank maintenance (scrubbing, gravel vacuuming etc). All was going great until two days ago when I felt water leaking into my glove. Today I found why the seam holding the red part and the purple part together had come undone. The glove was rendered completely useless. I'm sure if you were using them less often they would work great but considering what I paid I was very disappointed that they only lasted me a few months. Especially since they are necessary for me to do my job.

These gloves work great. The only thing I would love is if they came in differen sizes. I have very tiny hands and these gloves are huge!

I wanted to use these gloves to pick out some bubble algae using a tweezers but was unable to do it with the gloves on. They are more useful in moving large pieces of coral/glass cleaning etc.

Dec 2008 I have had them for a few years now. Quality is good no leaks so far!

They work good for what I use them for. Been using them to house Tarantulas. No water in them so dont know if they leak. Dont really care. You gota order lids separate. If you put in some effort, you can find good cheap ones...

This seemed to help the problem with cotton mouth on one fish. Sometimes one fish will get very stressed and have probems with fungus or parasites.It can be hard to know what the problem is. Melafix seems to work fine for the problems it clams to cure.

The medicine was not very effective . I used it to treat my powder blue tang and fox face for ick and pop eyes and the blue tangs condition got worst till it died and the fox face still had pop eye after the full. Treatment. I give it 3 stars because unlike most treatment this actually didn't effect the corals or inverts so I was happy about that. But as for the actual treatment part I wouldn't use it again.

I have been using this koi spring and autumn food for years and wouldn't use any other kind. They love it. I buy several bags at a time and store them in the freezer to keep them fresher. I did try sticks once instead of the pellets and the fish wouldn't eat the sticks. They love the pellets. I feed it from the time the water is between 42 degrees F. and 70 degrees F., then I gradually change them over to their summer food. I have koi, butterfly koi, shubunkins and comets.

Koi Food is expensive and yet the koi I have raised and cared for many years are valuable to me so I am careful what I feed them. I love this product! It's a little big for my 20 gallon tank, but I use it every time I do a water change or as a holding pen for my fish to be transported. I have a HOB filter that needs to be filled with water before turning it on, so this is a great use for it. I can easily scoop up some tank water and pour just the right amount to get it started. I've also used it as an observation container, as it can hang on the side so that you can see how your new fish will react to the current occupant in the tank. Is this a necessary item? -No, but it's very nice to have.

Pretty much the exact same little plastic hang on boxes that they use to collect fish at the petstores, but they don't sell themwell here they are! I bought the small and the large sizes. The small is definitely for drip-acclimating small coral frags or small inverts. The large size is more multi-purpose.

I purchased this to help introduce new fish into my tanks. The first one arrived with a crack and the company I purchased it through sent out a new one the next day. It hangs on the edge of the tank perfectly. The pour spouts work as you would expect them to. It has a nice capacity so it holds a great deal of water as well as multiple fish if you prefer. This could also be repurposed as a temporary issolation tank if need be. I still use this product often and would recommend it to anyone in the market.

The first thing I noticed is that it is smaller that I was especting, good! Later I started measuring air output and obtained 4 points, with all closed outputs I obtained a maximum pressure of 115 mmHg, at 9 liters per minute I measured 70 mmHg, with 12.2 liters per minute I found 60 mmHg and as last point at 14.8 liters per minute I had 50 mmHg, once I put these 4 points in a chart I get a nice straight line that intercepts 26 liters per minute at zero pressure, so of 45 liters per minute announced I only get a measured 26.

I put it to work and replaced 6 small pumps, with about 16 outputs (filters without stone) that left me with 55 mmHg working pressure and 13.5 liters per minute as my chart indicates.

I hope that it would last more than a year, I did not find this pump very noisy but it is noisier than any of the small air pumps it replaced.

As rule of thumb I found that liters of air per minute that can obtain by any air pump it is more or less half of announced in specifications.

As reference 100 mmHg are about 53 1/2 inches of water.

After going through so many pumps for my tank, I saw this at amazon at a good price and decided to try it. The item is a GREAT pump, solid, heavy, complete. Rubber feet, connectors, everything you need. The only problem I have is my tank is in my living room and the noise from this pump is just too much for me. I am looking into running it behind a small wall, running the tube through, but haven't tried that yet. Oh, and this is a LOT of air. I just have two long stones under the gravel and this is way much air. You probably have to use three or 4 of the outlets (at least) to reduce the air flow rate to something usable.

This unit seems to put out a lot of air. I am using to push 4 air stones that are submerged 4 feed in my fish tank and it is producing a lot of bubbles. It is not rated for outdoor use so I built a small wooden box to keep it out of the elements and so far I have not had any problems. I only have 4 hoses connected to it so it was nice when I found out that each of the 6 outputs has its own valve that you can adjust so I just shut off the two outlets that I am not using.

Penn Plax Net Breeder for Aquarium

I bought one of these and a Lee's net breeder. I like the Lee's brand much better than this one. The plastic is flimsy and the net even worse. I thought I was going to rip the net as I gingerly put it on the plastic frame! And I didn't get all the tiny plastic grass things -the picture shows 5 or 6 sturdy ones; I got only 3 (that also looked & felt as if they'd fall to pieces).

U.P. Aqua Co2 Reguator w/double gauges

Great product. Works well and looks pretty flashy. Only issue I really had with it was the connector threads were a little loose and had a hard time tightening them with the alan wrench. Even with teflon tape I still had a leak between the connector and regulator until I finally found a regular wrench and tightened it to almost the point of stripping the threads.

Luckily I have a paintball adaptor screwed into it as well so I'll never have to mess with looseing and tightening the connections on the regulator again, will just have to screw a new tank into the adaptor.

Oh, one other thing, there aren't any directions, so make sure you research before you put together. You'll want to have the on/off valve 100% on when attaching a new tank or else you're going to have an impossible time with it and make sure you can screw it fast or else you'll lose a lot of your CO2.

Have a 50g tank with a few plants in it and some shrimp. I was having issues with plant growth so decided to go with a Co2 system. First I tried the one that the local petstore sells, that uses super small co2 tanks (like co2 pellet gun size) and noticed I was using almost a tank every 2 days. Returned that fast. Went with this and a 5lb co2 tank from a local gas supplier. LOVE IT. have it set on timers running 13 hours every day and it works flawlessly. Also with the 5lb tank setup the needle has barely moved in the 3 weeks I have been running it. Very cost effective.

I've been running the regulator for 7 weeks now without a flaw. Holds bubble count amazingly. Only two complaints are that it doesn't come with a crush washer for between the regulator and tank, and my needle valve is upside down. But no big deal.
