biOrb Purple Color Ball

The color ball is cute, but is way to big for the Baby Biorb. Mind you that in the packing states that the color ball is good for all Biorb tanks.

I got one of these for my birthday last year and I loved it! It definitely does add a lot of color and excitement to the aquarium. I put it in my 36 gallon tank, not a bio-orb, but it works in any tank really. The only bad thing about it is that if you don't constantly take it out of the tank and clean it, it collects algae, left over food and fish poo. Other than that it's great! :) I plan on getting all the other colors!!

EDIT: Alrighty, 2years after I got this it has completely fallen apart and lost it's color. :( I didn't really expect it to last long, but I'm still kinda sad about it. But, on the bright side, it works well as makeshift filter media! I just shoved it in my HOB filter along with some foam and it now has a large amount of beneficial bacteria growing on it. I can see it growing all over the thing! :)

I ordered this product, (Purple Color Ball) it says that the color is purple but they clearly gave me red. I thought this was a mistake and since I wanted a Red Color Ball anyway I decided to keep it. I needed to order a few more items anyway so I ordered the Purple Color Ball again and it came a SECOND time as a Red Color Ball. I was going to return it but it's a $7 item so it's just not worth it. I'll just keep my two Red Color Balls (that were supposed to be Purple Color Balls) in my tank and not bother trying to get a purple one.

Amphibian or Reptile Tank, 20 Gal

After having my turtle for about 6 months I decided I needed an upgrade from my 10 gallon tank (not by this company). I spent weeks looking around at tanks and either couldn't find one to fit my stand because it was too long, or couldn't find a screen to cover the top. After coming across this tank, and later getting it as a Christmas gift, I can say that I couldn't be any happier with a tank! The tank allows plenty of room for my yellow-bellied slider to swim around and stay warm under his lamp. I didn't notice the detail of the larger model not having a hinged screen before getting it, but the screen fits like a glove! Mine doesn't close fully due to the filter model I have on one side, but it still allows for a snug fit around the rest of the edges. Overall, a wonderful tank.

Adult fish should never be kept in an "aquarium" this small and it should not be marketed for them. Goldfish need a MINIMUM of 5 gallons each, and bettas as well. This could be useful as a nursery for fry if the filter doesn't suck them up.

Got it, set it up even got the fish who were patiently waiting for their new home. Suddenly we hear dripping.. onto.. our.. expensive ...dining room set (for the record we had the tank on a high counter, not on the table). Long story short we discovered the crack along one side. The fish died. Child freaked out about the fish dying. The end. Cheap product.

Fish Mate 500GUV & 1000GBIO Replacement Filter Foam

The picture is clearly misleading. It shows the filters for the replacement kit, but what you see, sure as heck isn't what you get. I used the picture as a guide as to what would be included in the order, but all I got was a huge box with a tiny piece of foam that wasn't worth 10 cents, much less than $10. What gives? Either my order was incomplete, or they posted the wrong pic in the description. Considering the size of the box and the amount of packing material, I have to wonder.

Either way, I returned the item in the same huge box they sent it in.

Does the job, easy to clean. Works well with my prefilter on my pump to clean the water after it goes through the UV.

Pet Kelp Joint and Bone Formula

Our 15 year old dog has really bad issues with his hips, and this product has made a great difference in his mobility. He still has issues, but he gets around better, and seems to be in less pain. I have two dogs and mix this powder into their dry and wet food. Both ate it. It seems to be highly digestible. No problems with loose stools. Hard to say if it helps their joints and bones, but both my dogs are very active and at least it helps my "emotional well-being" to know that I am trying to support their joints as much as I can. I have a dog Beagle/Terrier mix she weighs little over 20lb.

The direction on the back says to feed 1Tsp for her weight.

I mainly feed my dog dry food so following the direction on the back I had to mix the Pet Kelp with water. This product isn't a powder like so it doesn't mix well like corn starch; it is more like a grounded black pepper that is green so most of the stuff settles to the bottom. The smell of this product is little like seaweed.

when I gave my dog the mix, I noticed she didn't like the smell and try to flip the bowl with her nose.

I had a good laugh but trying to feed her this product was hard. Only way I can get her to eat was when I mixed it with peanut butter or mayo; some other mixture to cover the smell of this product. And their website says "Best of all, every pet we know LOVES the taste"

If you feed your dog canned food I guess it will be okay.

As for the helping on the joint and bone, I will update after month.

Eheim Universal Aquarium Water Pump 630GPH

Very quiet. Had it running for about 1 year.

No problems at all. No noise.

Easy to clean.

Just need to watch out for the small black ring around the shaft. One of them fell off (and I could not find it), and I had to buy another full shaft.

I got this eheim to replace my mag 5 that was running virtually silently for several years as a return pump for my aquarium sump because the mag 5 started to vibrate very loudly after I used it to drain my basement after a flood. The eheim is actually louder than the mag 5 it replaced. I think I may have just received a bad pump, but would think that if I paid over twice the amount for the eheim than the mag 5 that quality control would be better. The eheim is a very strong pump, however, I just wish that it was as silent as the reviews state.

The product is very sturdy like most U.S. made products. I bought it to support US economy, and I'm really glad I did. Aquarius AQ15002 Semi-hexagon 5-Gallon Aquarium with Hood and CFL lighting and Mini Might Internal

This has only been set up for about a week, but so far I'm pleased. I'm still cycling it so no fish yet, but hopefully it will make a great home for my new betta.

Pros:

For what you get, this is a great value!

Love the hinged lid that allows for easy water changes and other maintenance.

The "feed window" is nice so the whole hood doesn't have to be lifted (see Con#2) to simply feed the fish.

Florescent bulb makes it easier to keep live plants.

Cons:

The tank does seem to be slightly more prone to scratches; more so than the other acrylic tank I have, but nothing horrible yet. Plus I think there are scratch kits I could use if it gets bad.

I love the hinged lid, but it does seem that when I open it to add ammonia for the cycle, water that has condensed on the inside of the lid drips down the back of the tank. Hopefully this will only be an occasional challenge.

Pros:-good acrylic, i have yet to see any scratching

The dimensions are better than other hexagon tanks

-the hinged hood is great, really like the fluorescent light

Cons:-the feeling lid on the hood is kinda small, i have to lift the hood to feed my Halfmoon plakat betta blood worms or any food with a big container

-the filter that came with it sucked for my betta(too much current) no problem, i bought a new one and threw the old one away

Overall you get your bang for your buck, so i'm not gonna give it 1 star just because the feeding lid is small or because I don't like the filter

The first one (AND ITS REPLACEMENT) arrived with scuffs on the inside of the acrylic tank from the box of components moving back and forth on the front (inside) of the tank. The box was inside of a plastic bag but was not immobilized with Styrofoam as it should have been. After the replacement arrived with the same scuffs, I decided not to try a 3rd time. Too bad, it looked like it could have been a nice aquarium. Amazon was excellent at handling the returns as usual.

Rio 12HF HyperFlow Water Pump - 750 GPH

Great pump for the price. only con is you are not able to adjust motor speed/straight like some others. with some simple plumbing parts you can easily fish this, but it is what it is.

I use it to run a blue bowl gold concentrator. It works swimmingly for a submersible pump. Well worth it.

I had a Rio 1800 pump in my aquarium and and another Rio 2100 that I got about five years ago that I use for water changes. The Rio 1800 in the aquarium died after being used for 10 years and I replaced it with the Rio 2100 I was using for water changes so I bought Rio 12HF in 2010 and that one failed after eight months where I was just using it once or twice a month to pump water into the aquarium during water changes. Got another Rio 12HF that also failed after six months. The FH series with the titanium shaft and ceramic bushing is suppose to be a better product but I can't recommend the Rio FH series pumps as they seem to have a very short lifetime.

Universal Rocks 24-Inch by 16-Inch Rocky Aquarium/Reptile Rigid Foam Background

You have to pretty much take all the water out of your aquarium if you want to install this thing. It's like trying to take a pool float to the bottom of the deep end of a pool. Then you have to quickly put your sand or rocks in to hold it against the back of the aquarium. Even then it still tried to slowly float away. I ended up having to buy aquarium sealant and some strong magnets to attach to the back of it and hold it down that way. If you can find the flexible aquarium only version of this, i highly recommend you get that one. The "clips" that it came with are nothing more than a small PVC pipe cut down that you pull apart to get it stay in place. But they don't work on most aquariums cause of the plastic lips that go around the top of the glass. And it's the bottom of this thing that needs to stay in place, not the top that sits above the water!

That all being said. It looks pretty dang good once you get it all set up. It doesn't look that great out of water but somehow that all changes when it get's wet. Ive got sand in my aquarium that matches the back ground perfectly and blends right in like they were made for each other. I also bought one of the rock sets that Universal Rocks makes and it also looks great with it. My Multi Shell Dwellers Cichlids seem to like both of them and even the fry will hide in the few crevices in the background when they need to take shelter from the bigger males in the tank.

Had to give it three stars cause this really shouldn't be sold to be used in an aquarium since it's made out of foam. Would have been 5 stars if it was made out of something that doesn't float!

Cant say enough good things about this 3d background.

You may need a razor blade to shave the corners just a bit for a more proper fit.

Make sure you measure your tank before buying ! there are many different sizes.

The goldfish in our pond love this food. Previous years we used a regular goldfish flake food, and always had algae problems (it never occurred to me there might be a different food for pond fish versus aquarium fish). I'm not sure if this food is what's helped so much this year, but this year we have a crystal clear pond and seemingly super happy fish. I know it, because this summer I could actually see them! I'm ordering PondCare 180 Spring & Autumn Pellet Fish Food for the cooler months.

I take care of a large outdoor pond with about 5 Large Koi, 10 Medium Size Koi, and 30 smaller fish, in addition there is a turtle and two frogs. The pond is covered in lily pads and other water plants. I was feeding the fish food made by Hikari and the fish seemed to go right after it and it never lasted more than a minute. I switched to Pond Care Summer Food for two reasons it was cheaper and I was curious to see what Summer Food was about. My fish dont seem to go after the floating pellets at all. I can reason that there is so much plant life that it is hard for them to see the pellets and that it is so hot (average 105 a day in Vegas) but I know that before I made the switch the fish attacked the pellets and now they seem to float for some time before the fish go after the food.

I will be switching back to Hikari when this bag is done.

These things are pretty cheap, so it's not shocking that the first time I tried to pull one out of the tube that it broke/shattered. Ended up cutting the tube and putting in a new one. Work well, but can break apart due to the tubing tightness.

Plenty of bubbles with these. So far they seem to be working out just fine. I liked that they didn't need to be "soaked" in the water for any time before being hooked up. They work right out of the package just fine. Mine give a nice mix of bubbles and seem to aerate the tank just fine.
