The bracket is solid but I would not recommend trying to expand it.
There are 3 plugs. One for the blue light LEDs and 2 for the primary T5s. This allows for 3 timers if you'd like to create transitional lighting to mimic the natural effects of the sun/moon cycle. Beautiful.I was a little concerned that it was shipped only in the original packaging....but everything arrived in perfect condition.
The light is extremely bright on my 40 gallon tank and looks sleek and well designed. The only thing I don't like is the combination of lamps... two at 10,000K daylight and two actinic blue bulb...it looks too blue to me....so I will change one of the blues for a 6700k....
Overall it looks like a good investment.

I love the fixture it brightens up my 40 gallon breeder reef tank, it looks so good, 2 very super small problems the feet that you can exstend out are just a touch to long for a tank that in 36 inches long, but i just took the feet of and placed it right on top of the lids, the fixture does get a little hot but not a really big deal, problem 2 i spent the extra money to get it here in 3 days but it took 4 days to get and the seller would not refund the shipping price, that kinda sucks but im not going to rate the fixture low stars because of the shipper, its a super good fixture, if you are looking for a good fixture for your reef tank this one would be a super good choice, just not sure about the sellerThis product arrived intact, in which i was pleasantly suprised with. The light looks great and i like how it has 3 different switches. My only problem was that it barely fits on my 40 gallon breeder. I have to sit it just right for it to stay on. Other than that the product works just fine.Want Odyssea 36" T5 HO Quad Aquarium Light Fluorescent Hood Fixture w/4 LED - Marine 4x39W Discount?
This is exactly what I needed for my flat back corner reef tank. Lights up beautifully! I have 2 daylights, 1 actinic and 1 wave point reef bulb in it. The on/off switches are conveniently on the ballasts which in turn, are separated from the fixture helping to prevent heat build up. Nice thought out feature! Love it!!
