My pH was sitting around 7.8 and had a GH/KH of .53 when I added this peat to my aquarium, dosing scaled to that recommended on the bag. Within 24 hours my pH was sitting at 6.8 and my GH/KH at .33I gradually stepped up the additions to bring my acidity to a cool 6.0. Follow the instructions on the packaging and dose slowly, stepping up to get where you want to be; you'll stay there for at least 6-8 weeks.
