good for tanks with very thin glass.. but anything larger then say a 20 gallon and it falls off.. magnets are just not strong enough.

While this thermometer is a good concept, with the magnet outside attaching the thermometer to the glass inside, it hasn't worked at all for me. I attached it to my newly filled tank for my betta and it read eighty degrees. The temperature wasn't changing as I let the water sit, so I decided to test it by turning my heater on. While I definitely noticed a major difference in the water temperature, the thermometer still read eighty. I bought it from a local pet store, and I will be bringing it back.

I previously had a thermometer than stuck on the outside of my old tank, and I was much happier with it. Despite the fact that it is inconvenient as it can't be removed and reused, I will be buying a new one for my new tank in place of this.

Have had one for two years, accidently broke last time I was cleaning so I ordered another and still love it. Magnet is pretty strong, allowing you to move the thermometer anywhere you want to clean or relocate.

Wish the magnet was a little stronger, I had to fish it out of the bottom of our RES's tank a few times before I got smart and put it in the corner where the intake for the filter was so he couldn't get to it. Works fine tho.

It works and is easy to see, magnetic hold is MUCH more bettert then suction cup I almost took a star away due to size but I did not.
