Bought this sucker for $6 or $7 so really can't complain. Placed in a 10gal tank and still working well after 3 weeks.

I got this for my Hagen Nutrafin CO2 Natural Plant System because the bubble ladder is always trapping my small fish. Seems other people have had the same problem with the ladders. I tried everything to get this to work but it must need a lot more pressure than my system can produce. Other reviewers seem to have success but not me. I don't have a leak at all. The ladder still works perfectly. The Hagen I used this on is basically a fancy DIY system. Maybe I just got a faulty one? I tried to blow through it. Ran it under boiling water. Nothing.I think I will just do a bit of DIY and cut a piece of plastic for the front of my ladder to stop the fish getting behind it because if it wasn't for that I wouldn't have a problem and be wasting money on this thing.

While not a perfect diffuser (some bubbles will escape via the surface), it is still highly effective. Although some people complain that it does not work with DIY, these people must have leaks in their systems. If your system is air tight and contains living yeast, water, and sugar, it will work. They need quite a bit of pressure, so leave it overnight. If it still isn't bubbling, reglue and use some saran wrap and duct-tape to reseal. I have two of these and am very pleased with the result (happy plants!).
