love it love it i little hard to put together (2 persons job) but yet very easy. allot of water hit this unit and hasn't hurt it a bit. good price for a great unit

Reason theres no back cover is that you would need it open for your plumbing and other water and air line. More advance enthusiast would setup sump tank below the aquarium and run all line to the top to give your aquarium a cleaner sleeker look. Myself I have a external filter and run all line, power cable, air line, plumbing and drain from top to bottom, bottom to top.

I didn't buy this stand on Amazon, because first there was a wrong picture posted here, and after that I also found it cheaper somewhere else, but I think it's important for a potential buyer to know, as this "little" detail is ommited anywhere you see this stand in sale: THERE IS NO BACK SIDE!!! So that when you open the stand to put the stuff in, it falls out of the back side out! Also, another detail that might be of an importance for some there are no any shelves, so you have to deal with 27 inch of undivided space. We did find the solution for the first issue bought a backside panel in Home Depot, the one 24" x 48". There is an opening on the top still, but after a thought I left it alone: I put the surge protector inside the stand and ran all the wires through this opening, so that even on the back side there are no wires hanging. Now just gotta figure out how to deal with the lack of shelves. Just a thought for that much money this stand could have been more thought through. If I just wanted a regular stand for my aquarium with no storage, I would have bought a metal stand, but I specifically wanted a storage space, and this stand doesn't provide the convenience it should have.
