This is a very nice rock. It's heavy, so it doesn't float. It looks very natural, and the fish love it. My only problem with it is that it smells! The stench was impressive when I pulled the rock out of its box very strong chemical smell. I was worried to put that in with my fish, even though it's supposed to be "safe and non-toxic". I washed it thoroughly several times, left it to air dry for several days, then washed it some more... and put it in, still smelling. It has been in the tank 5 months now, no fatalities, but it still smells every time I open the tank to feed my fish. I guess that's how it's gonna be, but damn. This fake rock formation looks really nice underwater. I'm glad I bought it. The only thing I would recommend, is that buys drill a very small hole down thru the very top. The formation is hollow, and any air that gets into it will have no where to go and will build up until the rock is boyant. I have a long air stone buried uner gravel in the back of my aquarium. Perhaps others will not have such an issue...

I ordered the extra large because I have a tall tank. It looks great. Shipping was fast as always with amazon. If you like the natrual rock look, you can't go wrong with this one. It is a little pricey (I'm cheap) but I think it was worth the money.Read Best Reviews of Marina Naturals Rock Outcrop with Hole Here
I spent the extra $10 and bought the x-large but instead got the large for the price of the x-large. Large looks nice but wasn't what i wanted.Advice: Dig a passage/tunnel way on the bottom on the rock and your fish (my Ruby Shark) will claim it as a home. The Golden Algae Eater knows that is his spot, so he battles the shark for it sometimes.
