12.5" Ecoxotic Stunner 6W 8000K White - Aquarium LED Strip

I have a Freshwater Planted Aquarium and I've been slowly switching out my compact fluorescent lamps for the 24 x 8000K White strip lights as I was tired of replacing blown bulbs and also dealing with heat issues during the summer (I have no AC). These have been working wonderfully and are a breeze to install. I have used the industrial stickers it comes with and no issues even with the moisture that any aquarium will have (the first one has been installed now for nearly two years with no problem in a high moisture zone). Only have to buy one ballast plug-in unit and then just add additional lights in serial fashion unless you want them on different timers. Note to freshwater plant aquarists: three light strips will barely grow low-light plants such as anubias and crypts directly underneath the lights, unless you have a very shallow aquarium. I'm getting a fourth now that the budget allows. Love the beautiful shimmer effect like you see on metal halide bulbs.

I have a Cardiff 24g aquarium. I use 4 of these stunner lights on it. I use a combination of white and blue lights. Previously I used 2-3 compact fluorescents on a 29g biocube and these are much much better. First of all, I have no heat problems but more importantly my corals are thriving under the new lights. They also produce less algae growth. As an added bonus, I get the shimmer look similar to a metal halide but its not quite as strong a shimmer effect. If you're looking for stronger lights, they make a pro version but I have zero issues with these lights. The pro lights are more appropriate for a deeper tank. They're fantastic.

I have these in both my tanks now and I absolutely love them!! I have a 55 gallon with two 12.5" and a 20 gallon with one 12.5". If I hadn't already purchased standard lighting for the tank, I would have gone with the full LED setup which would be PERFECT. I recommend this product for sure.
