Well I got this product and the first thing I noticed was this thing was big 4 inches doesn't sound like alot till it's in your tank and wow is it big, I have it inMy 36 gallon bow front and I'm wishing I had got the smaller one already, other than that this is easy to set up and within an hour was already producing skim mate, I'm very happy with the feel of the product it doesn't feel cheap at all and its very quiet just you hear the bubbles poping defiantly recommend this product to anyone
It really is a "Toilet System" for your tank, it takes your fishes pipi and pupu out!!! Thats all what it is!!! LOL... Very quiet and looks good too.

Bought this for my Innovative Marine Nuvo 38 gallon. I originally had the Innovative Marine skimmer for a few months. It had micro bubbles for the first month and then after every water change for a few days. It was very loud too, I could hear it clearly with the tv on. So I purchased the Hydor Slim Nano since I was so sick of noise and micro bubbles. It fits in the same column in the back of the tank.I put the Hydor in and plugged it in and it is VERY quiet and it has ZERO micro bubbles! It was producing skim mate within the first 15 minutes! The collection cup is very easy to take off and clean too. It is awesome and I am very impressed. Much better then the Innovative marine skimmer.

I call bull shit, you must be the only person in the world who has ever dropped a skimmer in and had it skim in 15 minutes with zero bubbles. Do you install it in the dark, put some lights on that tank and look again.
