We recently purchased this aquarium for our daughter who happens to be a Spongebob fan. For its purposes, I suppose it is ok, but be warned. It really can only function as a goldfish/betta aquarium as it has no heater. There is only about enough space for 2-3 small fish (but remember bettas are territorial and will kill each other), or one decent sized goldfish. The rocks that come with the kit are only about enough to cover the bottom, but definately leave some open spots. These are somewhat nit-picky, but there is a pretty big issue. The plastic/acrylic material this tank is molded in is too thin. We put approximately 3 1/2 gallons in the tank, and it cracked near the top spilling water. We promptly returned it and replaced it. The second one did the same thing. Even the lid feels cheap and flimsy. My daughter loves the aquarium however, and luckily the crack was on the backside, so a little duct tape cured the issue for the time being. Can't wait to get rid of this though.
