I bought the Petco version of this aquarium. It is small. It was able to house 1 goldfish and 2 african dwarf frogs. The included filter is not very good, as this was expected for a very inexpensive kit.I tried to use a Tetra Whisper In-Tank Filter 3I, 1 to 3-Gallon, which wasnt very effective. Your best bet is to get a decent HOB. The cutout in the cover is very small, so make sure the filter will fit. My AZOO Mignon Filter 60 works great, but is too big for the cutout.
Eventually, I ended up returning this tank and got a Aquarius Aq15005 Aquarius 5 Rounded 5-Gallon Aquarium Kit, which gives you a lot more room for the same price.
