I've been using one of these thermostats for over 10 years, and i've never had any reptile product that I've enjoyed so much. The Reptitemp 500R is doing a good job of keeping my snake's cage a consistent temperature. I has 2 outlets to plug heating devices into. The protective cover does not fit on very well, but I don't need it. I like that it has Velcro to attach the thermostat to the side of the cage so that it can be removed and reapplied. The one thing I don't like is that the temperature dial only has a multi-colored strip to show how high or low it is. There are no numbers to guide you on where to set the dial. The other reptile thermostat I had did have a numbered dial and This was convenient. I remedied the situation by using an indoor/outdoor thermometer and set that probe beside the Reptitemp probe to confirm the temperature. This is how I know the Reptitemp is consistent in keeping the same temperature.
This decor looks nice in my tank, complementing the ancient ruins style I've tried to create in there. The wall does a nice job of hiding the front view of the intake tube for my filter. But I just wish the wall was a bit taller so it could better fit the height of my 29-gallon tank.

This is EXACTLY what I wanted for the jungle ruins theme in my fish tank! I only have two very small complaints. 1) it's not as tall as I would like for my 29 gallon, but that was easily fixed by creating a sort of hill with my sand, and 2) like another reviewer stated, it needs suction cups or something in the back. It tips forward pretty easily, even after trying to "anchor" it down with sand. This is a basic light that does it's job well but I believe it is over priced. Odyssea has a t5 light that does the same thing for half the price but does not have the type of brackets that makes your light stand up over your tank .
I bought this top because I love pink personally. It really adds a feminine touch to your biOrb, which I love. My only complaint is that it does not stay attached to the biorb itself. It is not a big issue as you do not move the biOrb around much, but I wish the company would have made it so it would stay attached to the biOrb rather than sit on it/around it if you know what I mean. Nonetheless, I would have gotten it either way just for the touch of pink.
I'm generally having problem with my tanks being dirty due to the set ups I choose. I've tried a number of filter innoculants and comparable products, but never had anything work as fast as NiteOut II. This thing truly cycles your tank, my NO2 levels have dropped from >5ppm to 0 in 2 days. You don't have to smear it on the media, or marinade the media in it; just throw it in the tank, and that's that.

I decided to try a soil substrate in my previously cycled tank and the ammonia shot up to the point that I had to do 2-3 water changes every day just to keep the ammonia under 1ppm. Even then, hours later, it would be climbing again. Apparently the gravel I topped the soil with was not a fine enough grain to seal the soil in well enough to slow down the ammonia from reaching the water column. I put sand on top of the gravel and started adding this product to my tank. Without any water changes, my ammonia dropped to .50 and stayed there. I couldn't believe it! For the first time in 2 weeks I went a whole day whitout a water change. I added another capful on day 2 and my ammonia dropped to .25. I did a 20% water change and now my ammonia is almost at 0. Brought down Ammonia Levels from more than 6ppm to less than 1ppm. It has been a week and am continuing to use it. I have a 10 gallon tank with 5 comet goldfish, 4 red platy and 2 electric green glo fish. The water is crystal clear as well.
I read the reviews and was expecting it to be smaller then what it decribed and to have sharp edges, it is huge, it takes up a lot of space in my 35 gallon hexagon tank which is what i wanted as the main orniment. I didnt find any serious sharp edges, some minor edges that can be easly sanded down.
I have two sets of these lights in my 55 gallon tank of all colors and love it. I've had these before and high lights what ever you want. I tend to change things around now and then.
This product is great for housing a betta. I have three of these in red, purple, and black and im going to buy the teal to house my new betta, Waffle. These are great betta tanks, but dont house any other kind of fish in it. In al my tanks, I have two plants, a small round cichlid stone, and a decoration. My bettas love them. Its the perfect size for a betta. THe air pump is a piece of garbage though if you're housing a betta i would recommend tossing it. This product is great for bettas and I would recommend it to any betta owner!

I love the color teal, this teal is very vivid & beautiful. The aquarium arrived on time, was quick & easy to setup, & we love it. Since it does not have a filtration system, I would recommend it for a Betta only. But that is just my opinion. It is getting harder & harder to find these mini-bow aquarium's....so if you want one...I would act quickly. They also come in 2.5 gallon & 5 gallon....but not in teal. Those are red, black, & blue I believe. Walmart carries them, but is often out of stock. These here are priced as cheap, or cheaper than Walmart. All you need is a gallon of spring water, some water treatment for Betta's (use half the recommended amount if using the pre-filtered gallon of spring water). The gallon costs less than a dollar at Walmart & the Betta water treatment can be found at Walmart or Pets Mart. One very small plant, I found several different ones at Pets Mart in a variety of colors for 99 cents each. A pound or even a little less than a pound of rocks or polished marble stones, & a small temparature strip to stick on the side of the tank. Most importantly a 10 watt heater for tanks 10 gallons or smaller made by Aqueon that can also be found at Pets Mart for $15 bucks. It gets a little cold for them in the winter & I have had some die in the past. They are tropical fish, & like the heat. The heater will keep the water at a constant 78 degrees & requires no adjusting. I got some color enhancing Betta pellets & also some bloodworm flakes that I can crumble up while the Betta is young & his mouth is still small. This also adds a little variety to their diet, making them more colorful & helping them to live longer.Last but not least, a Betta of your choice. This tank is so small it will fit virtually anywhere. I bought 20 lbs for my new 29-gallon tank. At that shallow depth, I had to anchor a couple of artificial plants with small stones at their base but that's okay as that just adds to the decor. The sand is super soft and and I only had to rinse it once before adding. Directions with my Whisper filter says not to use with sand but it hasn't been a problem. When cleaning, I rotate the vacuum tube a couple of inches above the sand so I scoop up only the tiniest bit. The black against the green plants, the blue background, and my gold comet make a beautiful contrast. Doesn't seem to bother the fish although when he first went into the tank, I saw him spit some out. I would definitely recommend this over gravel.
Maybe it is the 18,000 gallon pond, but I put plenty of this stuff into the pond over several weeks and I was plenty much pouring money down the drain there was zero change in the algae.
I bought this tank as a replacement for a vase I had been using to house my betta fish Bartimaeus. When the tank got here it was nicely packaged and was very easy to put together. The filter current is not too strong for my betta and hums along, not too load to be annoying but a nice background noise. I love the neon light, it is very effective. The drawer under the tank is perfect for holding food and maybe another small item. My betta is very happy and swimming around contently.

I bought this at walmart, probably for a little less. I haven't had problems sometimes people complain about the blue LEDs dying out mine are fine but it probably could be closer to the center of the tank, it is a little loose when putting it all the way up. It is not a big aquarium and actually in truth it is too small for pretty much any fish but it has served me well until I decide to upgrade to a larger tank for glofish, probably a good tank for a desk or student. Filter also kind of small, doesn't create any degree of water flow really but I suppose it works well enough. I just got this tank having looked all over for the "right" basic betta tank. This one won. I like the tank as it is easy to see the betta with the bow front. The lid is extremely basic and has cut outs for feeding, heater and filter which is nice. The light is fun though I wish it had an an option for white day light rather than just the (24watt)blue glow light. It has lots of floor space for decorations.
