This is a no brainer. This absolutely does not impede the water flow. and if that is a concern of yours, just cut the tip off of the middle or first attachment. The tube doesn't have to reach all the way down to the bottom--that is what weekly 10-15% water changes are for.Read Best Reviews of AquaClear Extension Tube for Power Filters Here
This is exactly the same extension tube included with my AquaClear 70 power filter. If you have a tall aquarium and you want the intake near buttom, I highly recommend this extension tube.I have a 50 gallon power filter and the attachments that came with the unit only went down halfway in my 30 gallon fish tank. This extends closer to the floor of the tank so the filter can work better at cleaning up things that settle on the bottom. Not much else to say it's exactly the same kind of tube that comes with the filter.

Not as fast as it said it would, so I added more drops as directed. We lost 6 fish in the process (Two guppies and 4 head and tail light tetras.) I don't know that I can blame it on this product as the tank was getting pretty bad. It is now crystal clear and has remained that way.For the reason of losing the fish I would not add more. If it doesn't clear up as fast as they say, be patient and give it 24 hours.
UPDATE: Have used this again but only put in 1/4 to 1/2 of recommended dose, a day apart...works like a charm under those circumstances. Still does not work as fast as they, seems to work best overnight, fish are fine.

worked great, although it took about 20 mil. to do the job, which is no problem because it is all natural... thanx. I have a 20 gallon tank and recommend cleaning filter after each recommended dose,,untill crystal clear,, thanx again, I am very pleased.....!!!Want Acurel F25 Millimeter Water Clarifier, Aquarium, Treats 250 Gallons Discount?
My tank wasn't too bad but still was not satisfied with the clarity and wanted it to be more clear. After adding only 15ml's of this and an hour later the haziness that I was complaining about, cleared up. I only put 15ml's in it which is only half the amount I should have put inside a 275 gallon tank. After adding it in it did make it more cloudy which made me stop adding and just waited, which I guess was enough. Now I am satisfied with how clear the water is, definitely makes a huge difference and the product is cheap.
TOM Aquarium Deco Kit - 3gal Aquarium Kit - PC Lighting & Filter
Additional Equiptment Needed: Replacement filter cartridges are $10 for a 3 pack sold on Amazon TOM TM1277 Aquarium Filter Cartridge 3 pack fits Rapids Power Filter PF-80. The manual suggests you replace them every 2-4 weeks depending on fish population and it only comes with one. So you should order extra along with a heater. I purchased the Elite Submersible Preset Heater Mini, 25-Watt for appx $15 from Amazon. Fits well with the lid cutouts, it has adjustable temperature and seems to maintain a stable temp. I bought a $3 thermometer at local pet store to gauge this.
The instructions are not great, especially as this is my 1st tank. The filter came with seperate instructions from the tank and they conflict with eachother. Once I set them aside and used common sense, it was fairly simple.
Be prepared for the massive and unsightly plugs. I placed the tank on the kitchen counter and stuffed all the chords and plugs behind the fridge using a power strip. Have a good place in mind to put this where you can hide all that unless that sort of thing doesnt bother you.
Also, I agree with another reviewer about the filter just awkwardly hanging at a tilt off the tank, as if it doesnt belong there. The lid cutouts give you the option to the hang it on the back or the side. I hung it on the back and you cannot tell.
Having said all that, let me say that it is a beautiful little tank! This was an upgrade for my betta, I foolishly had him in a 2 gallon bowl prior with no heater and he was not doing so well. He is much more active and interactive. So I do have some gripes, but for the price this really is a great set up.
The lid keeps the cat out of the water. It is truly lovely and a pleasure to sit & watch. I have been planning for a 150 gal saltwater tank in the next 2-3 years and this is a fun way to get started in the hobby for very little money.
SEE MY PHOTOS :-)I ordered this tank for my Betta fish after reading up on what type of conditions Betta fish need to thrive. It's very beautiful and easy to set up and clean. It does not come with a heater, however, so I had to order that extra. Betta's prefer water that's in the 75-80 degree range, so a heater and a thermometer are necessities! The light is gorgeous and really sets off the room.

This is a great little fish tank for my male Betta. Along with it I purchased a heater, a thermometer, and a green leaf hammock. Then I went to Petco and spent sixty more dollars on gravel, a live plant, silk plants, water conditioner, and various other things to make Chollie comfortable and his new home attractive. He is one happy aquatic camper!Don't believe anyone who tells you Bettas are content in a very small container. How would you like to spend your life in a plastic or glass closet? The bigger the tank, the better for the Betta. And yes, they do require a water filter and heater.
I have it set up beside my computer and the great lighting on the top of the tank is enough to light my keyboard in the evening. The filter is noiseless and unobtrusive placed in the back of the tank.
Highly recommend (and so does Chollie)!

I purchased this aquarium mainly for the "appearance" it does look really neat.Pros:
Easy to set up
Effective filter keeps tank very clean
Appearance it looks very nice and has a bright light.
Cons:
The plastic lid has perforated cut outs for allowing space for the filter and light. The pieces are EXTREMELY difficult to break apart and the lid cracked in the process. I followed up with company regarding this fact and have received no response.
The filter motor does have an audible hum and slight vibration. The "Eclipse" system I had made no noise at all.

Fluval Ceramic Shrimp Decor Aquarium Ornament
Because the caves have an open bottom, you can push them into the substrate as far as you want to make the caves larger or smaller. This allows cave dwellers to arrange the substrate inside the cave the way they want which is a normal part of the breeding process. For my kribensis, I like to push them almost all the way down so that just a tiny hole is left open. The female krib will pick the cave and then rearrange the gravel to make the opening just perfect for her. This gives her a sense of safety so she will breed and care for the eggs and fry.
I've been looking for a dark colored cave that looked attractive in my planted tanks for a long time, and this cave is perfect. I started out with 3 caves and just bought 3 more. No more ugly clay pots! They look great in the tank and don't detract from the beautiful colors of the fish.
UPDATE: My Pelvicachromis clearly love these caves! One pair mated and have successfully raised the fry. They're about 3/4" long now. The other pair have had two sets of fry, but aren't as good at parenting so they've lost both sets. However, they're trying for their third set of fry so maybe they'll do better at protecting them as they gain experience.
Even though I still have other caves in the tanks for my Pelvicachromis fish to use, they most definitely prefer these caves. I'm not going to bother buying any other kind of cave from now on. These caves are a definite winner! Just bought 5 more for a 90g tank I'm converting over to a planted tank! I'll probably get even more for that tank over time.I bought the log. And... it's okay. I think that it's ugly and that the interior of the log should be textured instead of smooth. I thought this was supposed to be shrimp decor. It's as good as any other aquarium ornament out there. My giant blob of java moss has consumed it so at least I can't see it. I hope my shrimp like it because it was expensive.
Nothin' special here.

Made out of nice ceramic. When you put it in the water it becomes a bit darker of a grey. my 2 smaller gourmies love it. I think I've seen the african leaf fish from Petsmart swim in it too. I think for my next fixture, I'll be looking at LEDs...Tubes give off sufficient light and duration. Only slightly cheaper than purchasing at aquarium store. In any case, these tubes are way over priced and I'd looks to see if there is not a better and cheaper technology!

It fits on our 125 gallon (technically 117gal. I think) tank. We needed it to keep the water from splashing up onto the lights. The only thing I wish it had was some kind of cushion under the edge or corners on the side with the handle. I am a little nervous the glass would break if the lid accidentally slipped and closed with force. What I did to ease my fear was put cushioned double sided tape (leaving the backing on one side) I had on the front corners. But of course they need to be replaced every so often when they get loose from getting wet.FYI Our tank is 72 1/2" from end to end. I wasn't sure these would fit before I bought them, but took the chance and it paid off.

Tetra Fauna Viquarium
What I consider a serious design flaw is my biggest gripe. We have fire belly toads in our setup. They can crawl through the space where the river bed exits the waterfall tower. And, since our tower has a manufacturing defect, there's a hole in the inside wall of the unit. One of our toads, of course, worked his way in to this hole (which is underwater, by the way) and couldn't get back out. We had to dismantle the ENTIRE thing to empty the water out of the base, pull it up, and retrieve the toad. What this meant was that we had to remove the other toads, scoop out all the waterbed gravel AND the course gravel from the land side which meant destroying our carefully built live-moss landscape. Then, as a two person-and-many-swear-word-job, everything had to be carefully put back into place (difficult because you can't let any gravel get under either piece or they don't work right), try and rebuild our mossy ground cover and re-plant our live plants, and then add back the toads plus more water.
Our fix to prevent this happening again was to place 4 cottonballs at the corners inside the tower unit to prevent toads from working their way into the tower again. So far so good, but I can't imagine what you'd do if you had a small amphibian!
Finally, even though the filtration base makes a really tight fit against the sides of the terrarium, all sorts of debris gets sucked up against the rubber seals I assume this means some water is also flowing beside the filter box instead of through it. Regardless, it's unsightly because there's this vertical line of debris right in the middle of the front of the terrarium glass that I can't reach to clean.
Also, there's no way to easily clean the gravel bed in the land area. I am interested to see if this proves to be a problem or not. The water portion is easy to clean you just siphon it like you would in an aquarium.I wanter to see my daugter's pet turtle on land for once and thought this waterfall/stream setup might entice him to come out of the pool. Setup was easy and unit has worked flawlessly for several months now.
I put his basking light right over one of the flat "rocks" that covers a filter. The turtle now comes out and basks laying on his rock something I had never seen him doing. Unexpectedly he also "plays" in the stream I think he is searching for food but its quite amusing to see him moving shells around with his head. If threatened by a noise or movement he uses the stream as a water slide to jet himself back down into his pool.
The water quality has been good I change out some every week but it has stayed clear and clean looking. The waterfall and stream have increased evaporation of water so I am adding more water then I used to.
Overall this new setup for our tutle has worked out very well. If a turtle can be said to look happy, then our turtle is happy. His behaviors seem much more natural and he acts more curious now.I bought this as an upgrade for the one that was in my tank. It is certainly an amazing upgrade!!! However, there absolutely no possible way that this is intended for use by frogs! I had to put a lot of time and money "frog proofing" this product before I even dare to put it in the tank. With a lot of hot glue and nylon screen, I finally was able to put it in the tank. It works wonders! I definitely suggest this product to people with pets over about 4 inches in diameter, or a turtle (I don't think the hard shell could squeeze through the 1.5 inch gaps)

The best purchase I've made for my Chinese Water dragon. He loves it and takes his baths then comes back to dry land. Best investment I have made.Want Tetra Fauna Viquarium Discount?
Our next door neighbor recently moved out and somehow left his turtle behind. We found him (a Red Eared Slider)walking around in our back yard in late November. Our 12 year old son was so excited and curious about this turtle that we had to adopt him. We named him "Toodie" and I must admit I fell in love with him too. Having had turtles and fish and all kinds of pets in the past but none now, I wanted to give him a good home and also teach my son how to properly care for and the importance of the "how to and whys" of making the proper habitat for reptiles. So, we started out with just a five gallon tank, filter, hood kit to see how "Toodie" would do and how our son would like caring for him. "Toodie" liked the 5 gallon aquarium but soon it was obvious that the tank was too small. So after a couple of hours of research on-line, we moved up to a 20 gallon "turtle-quarium" kit that included the proper lighting, basking area, filter, etc.
Then about a week later I asked a sales specialist at our local Petco store what I could do in order to make the turtle's tank as realistic as possible, making it part aqua and part land environment and he suggested the Tetra-Fauna Viquarium.
So I bought the Tetra-Fauna Viquarium as a family gift for Christmas. It is very well made and well designed. Fortunately, it is NOT made out of cheap plastic...it is made of a heavy clay type material which adds great realism to the unit. The way the clay is molded looks totally realistic, just as you may see a small river waterfall with rocks in a real jungle/tropical area. It fit perfectly in the corner of our 20 gallon tank and because the instructions are simple and well written, I had it set up and running within about 20 minutes. I have had this set up and running in our tank now for about 10 days and the built-in, hidden filtration system is quiet, effective and runs extremely well. The waterfall flow and realism is totally awesome and adds tremendous aesthetic realism, beauty and quality to the turtle's environmental safety and naturalism. Most importantly, "Toodie" just loves it! He climbs up on the top of the waterfall and slides down in to the water below and sometimes basks on top of either one of the two "towers" formed by the clay molding.
I think it was originally priced at over $100.00 but it is a great deal at a lower price here on Amazon.com. For the money, this is a totally worthwhile investment in your turtle's habitat and we have had numerous compliments on the tank by friends and family over the holidays!
The Viquarium unit also give you some design flexibility to your tank; it comes with a nice artificial plant fixtures that looks totally real and also a waterfall "extension" to lengthen the waterfall slide if you wish. The unit is also easy to clean and easy to change the filters. The unit uses two filters that are inexpensive to buy and replace through Amazon.com or your local pet store.
If you really want to care properly for your turtles or other reptiles/amphibians and have a delightfully beautiful addition to your home, get this totally unique and functional asset for your aquarium/terrarium habitat and you will not be disappointed.
