Hello everyone!I was happy with this purchase as the product was very close to the picture in color and design. The green colored version (this one) has an almost glow in the dark look when using an aquarium "night light" setting. One customer mentioned that they had a film developing on their product and I would assume it was algae. I have had similar issues with ornaments, plants, driftwood within my own aquariums. I purchased and maintain a Bristlenose Pleco in all of my tanks in order to ensure that the film will not happen. I have had this product in my aquarium for three days now and have not seen the film develop. I have a friend with young turtles in an aquarium and I placed one of these products in their tank to see how they would react. Both turtles attacked it and unfortunately ended up getting their teeth stuck on the tentacles of this product. After a few minutes the turtles were able to get their mouths unstuck, but it was nonetheless a dangerous thing to have in their tank. May be an item of caution for any buyers with pets with small sharp teeth. I maintain African Cichlids and they have not displayed any aggression towards this product however.

very cute little decoration for the tank. The only complaint I have is that there isn't anything on the site that told me what size the item is. I am afraid this may be a bit large for my little fish tank. The item has a nice little weight on it that will keep it on the bottom of the tank. As my tank hasn't arrived yet I can't really say how well it stays at the bottom of the tank.
U.P. Aqua Mini Thermometer (F)
As the product title states, it's a mini thermometer. The only temps listed are in increments of 10 deg with a 5 deg mark in-between. You won't be able to read a precise temp from it, but it's decent for a rough guess if that's all you need. As far as accuracy, it's hard to tell because reading it's always a "best guess." I used a digital thermometer to try to measure this products accuracy and from what I could tell, the digital thermometer always read about 3-4 degrees higher. I decided this wasn't worth the effort of guessing and stopped using it.Would not recommend unless your not interested in a true reading and only need a 5 degree range.
Aquatop IPF-302 Aquarium Internal Filter
This thing is small. It is rated as a 40 gallon, in tank filter. There is only enough room for a little bit of media, and the only thing included is a thin strip of black sponge, the more porous kind for housing bio bacteria. But that's it. It will not hold Purigen in the bag, nor does it come with regular floss or carbon. You could add carbon to it in loose form. At least add some small bio-balls, or folded up filter floss. It would not be sufficient as your only method of filtration on a 40 gallon tank. Really, on any tank, as it is. However, it is quiet and produces a good outflow. The little suction cups work well, also. I'm using it in my 75 gallon tank as extra filtration, but mainly to agitate the surface. (I am using the suction cups to hold it on, almost at the bottom of the tank, and have the outflow pointing up) It has a few different attachments so you can point the outflow however you like. There is an attachment to attach it to an air pump also. One thing that is dumb: THERE ARE NO INTRUCTIONS. Luckily it's basic and I've set up and tweaked filters for many years. If you're looking for a cheap filter, spend the extra $5-$10 and get something else (BIGGER) from a bigger named company. Do not use this as your only means of filtration, because it is not large enough to hold the proper material for adequate filtration. You need (1) Aquarium floss or a sponge to collect debris that's floating in the water (2) Something porous to allow beneficial bacteria to grow on (VERY IMPORTANT-Google 'Nitrogen Cycle') (3) Possibly carbon, to purify your water. (You have to change it regularly or it starts to pollute your tank) So it's not big enough to house all that...but it is excellent to move water (avoiding "dead spots") and help oxygenate the tank (by agitating the surface). Also cheaper and quieter than a power-head setup, and just as effective.

I purchased this item as a bathroom decoration. Having had MANY aquariums I knew it was not the ideal tank. Definitely not a beginner or goldfish tank.The quality of the aquarium is superb. It comes with a net, pump filter, great flourecent lighting canopy,Cleaning Siphon, lid, and reach pile for adding plants & decorations. My hand fits easily into the tank, so cleaning won't be a real issue. I'll remove the fish & decorations, stir the rocks at the botton & siphon out 20% of the water and debris.Replace with fresh decholrinated water, add decorations & then fish once everything has settled down. A papertowel will wipe the glass clean, or a razor blade can remove the algae (if necessary) since the tank is real glass. Just be careful not to kick the adhesive & spring a leak!
The ideal fishes for this type of aquarium would be guppies. A betta, mollies or swordtails. Perhaps a Zebra Danio or Tetra if you add a tiny heater.Place away from areas that will get direct light from the sun or heat from the heater/air from the AC. Fish don't like temp fluxuations!

Eshopps AEO15005 Refugiums for Aquarium R-200
Great product. Plenty of room for my skimmer, uv sterilizer and heater in the first section. The refugium section is pretty big too. I have two decent sized rocks in there with plenty of sand and there is still enough room for a few damsels. It did ship with a small crack in it (looked to be from shipping, the box was slightly damaged near the crack). The seller was more than happy to work with me and replace it, but it was more hassle for me to return it than fix it because the (small) crack was above where the water level would ever be. I would definitely recommend this product and this seller.

I purchased this heater in August of this year. I got home this evening to find the fish in our 55g aquarium acting sluggish. A peak at the thermometer shows 68 degrees F (normal temp is 79). The lights were all off on this heater. I checked to be certain it was plugged in. It was. I tried a different outlet and it came on for about 2 seconds and went back off.I took it to the sink where I submersed it again, and then plugged it up. It came on and began heating. I let it go for about 10 minutes and it was still working. I just put it back in my aquarium and it appears to be working again. But gee what if I had not looked closely at the tank? I'm about to head out of town and don't think I can trust this thing. Arrrgghh.

Good concept if heat worked more than 6 months. Bought 3 200 watt and 8 100 watt heaters all failed after 6 months of use. Breed Angels and can not depend on them. Start to flash 90 deg-water temp is really 68 will not reset even if unplugged and plugged back in. Sent 8 back to aqua-top still waiting to here back. Stick with old school ones. Programming the temperature on here was a snap, and considering that the tank sits right next to the door that we let the dog in and out from, and we're getting into the cold part of the midwest winter the fact that the temp never deviates from that 81 degrees has made keeping the aquarium a snap. I had mine for just under a year. I love the looks of this heater. The dual LED displays are great, and it has worked flawlessly up to today. I noticed condensation on the interior glass over the past few months. Today the heater shuts off (fuse?) after running a couple hours. I reset it by unplugging it and plugging it back in. Again a couple hours and it shuts off. It seems these heaters have some quality control issues. Shame because there is no other heater on the market that looks as cool.

I have used the competitor's hinge material for years with very few problems. This hinge is obviously made of a different material. After only a few weeks, the heat from my power compact light distorted the plastic so badly it would no longer stay on the glass. I have never had that problem with my previous hinges and have changed nothing with my setup.

The hinges were exacting what I wanted. The first two came in quickly. We had no problem cutting them to size and fitting our hood. We received two hinges and had order two. After three phone calls and two promises to ship the other two hinges, the company no longer caries the hinges and will refund the cost. Three phone call?this works good for my aquarium. I do not know why the local store does not keep this on hand as it is a much needed piece.
