Glo T5 HO Electronic Ballast for T5 HO Fluorescent Bulbs, Fits 2 x 54 Watt T5 HO Bulbs
I retrofitted an old coralife fixture I had and the bulbs just barely fit. The two 56 watt T5 bulbs lit the tank beautifully, though, while it worked.
I will try to get a replacement and hopefully it will work better...I have a 90gal saltwater reef tank loaded with a mix of soft and hard corals.
This was the best deal I could find on T5 HO ballast, so I ordered 3 sets.
Its been 6 months now with them running for 8-12hrs a day with no problems.
Very easy to install
Good quality

very good product, installation was very easy, I have been using for about a year I have had zero zero problems good products i recommend this seller and productI purchased this about a year ago to make a home made aquarium light for my 75 gallon planted tank. The first unit I received emitted a loud 60 Hz buzzing noise from day one but did light up the lamp. I contacted Hagen who assured me that was not normal, and so I had the item replaced via Amazon as a defective unit. The replacement process was painless and the second unit did not share the same issue. The unit is quiet and doesn't produce a ton of heat. I eventually wanted to route my cords off one end of my aquarium rather than both and so I cut and extended two of the leads. I don't advise trying this if you are not comfortable doing so, or have to ask how but it worked for me. While I don't have a PAR meter it didn't cause any perceivable loss in light, nor did it result in any flickering or noise. The power button requires some effort to flip as it is under a plastic bulb, but as I use a light timer this isn't really an issue for me. Here is a video of the planted tank these lights power: Can't rate item, it is not the correct item for the Lite I have. The Ballast is to large to fit in my lite even though the manufacturer/company shows this product as the product that fit my Light ficture. It was returned.R2 48 Inch Signature Series Aquarium Moonlight
First unit only lasted a little over a year and several LED's had burned out in a few sections. Purchased replacement and second unit lasted 13 months and experienced exact same thing (a few sections completely burned out and others are flickering. 2 stars for being acceptable for a year. Quality/Durability is poor/unacceptable so be warned that it will be nice for about a year. Looking for other inexpensive alternatives.

I agree with the other reviewer that it was a really stupid idea putting the power cord coming out the end of the light fixture. In order to fit under a canopy the wiring has to be jerry-rigged (aka a small hole in the side of the canopy to run the plug through. Very stupid design! The light effect itself is very nice moonlight look, more purplish than moonlight but nice and subdued so as to not upset the fish. I love having it on for a couple hours in the evening!

I liked the idea of adding this light to our existing lighting setup so we could have moonlights without having to purchase an entirely new fixture. Unfortunately, what is not shown in pictures or listed in the measurements is that they put the plug in for the power cord on the very end sticking directly out of the end so the total length is more than 48"! We have a canopy on our tank so we need an light fixture that is actually 48"! I have purchased 48" lighting for our other 3 aquariums and have never had any problems with ordering a 48" light that fits under a canopy! I am really not sure why they couldn't/wouldn't have placed the plug on the back of the light where it would actually make this a 48" light and you wouldn't have an ugly plug sticking directly out the end! I can't comment on how well this would have lit up our tank at night but I will avoid trying another one and just suck it up and purchase an all in one fixture!Want R2 48 Inch Signature Series Aquarium Moonlight Discount?
Don't buy this expecting to light the whole tank. I have a 75gal and it lights about 1/3 of the tank. There is no way to adjust the direction of the lights like there was on the $50 one i bought from PetCo; and on top of that it would NOT fit inside my hood without major modification: I had to remove the ends and attach the lights directly to the reflector and then re-run the power source to the side. If you are not comfortable with modifying a $60 light, then stay away. Otherwise, all that being said, this is a good 4' light for so cheap.JW Pet Company 10-Inch Desktop Aquarium Algae Scrubber

This is a great product. Worked very well on my acrylic fish tank. You need to be careful and follow the instructions. The main reason you would end up with scratches on your tank is sand or gravel getting caught in the scrubber. So be careful when scrubbing the lower portion of your fish tank. I would surely recommend this product.

Aqueon Hang-On Overflow Box
Pros:
Works as described
Good capacity (Can not validate 2200 GPH clam as I only us a 900GPH pump)
Easy to setup
So far has not lost siphon
dual drain, great if one get clogged and can handle a lot of water
Cons:
Black acrylic would have been better for the in tank part as algae will quickly rune the appearance of the clear acrylic.
Drain connector could be better. I would have rather screw on type, these ones require a clamp and rely on fiction.
Overall I am very happy. It works great when you first start it. After ONE day the filter gets dirty. I don't care how clean your tank looks. The filter gets dirty fast and you have to clean it. If you don't the siphon slows down and the return pump you have in your sump is now too powerful. Clean the filter and your back in business. Kinda sucks after you do it everyday almost.

I am using this on my 140 gallon tank and it really can't handle the the flow it needs to. I added a third siphon tube to increase the flow and it has made it noisy but now can handle more flow.i have no idea how it work. i make my own protein skimmers, drill tanks, make awesome wet drys, & understand them all. this blows me away. i can make it now that i see it but understand it no i do not. easy set up & instructions. got it running and stopped all pumps for 4 hours. plugged every thing in again and away it went.? this thing rocks & i will be making my own to added new tanks to my set up soon. price point is spot on, be leave me i looked , add a tank to your wet dry or added a wet dry to your tank. for the people that have had issues with it didn't us it right.Undergravel Filter - 30 or 40H Gallon - 36 in. x 12 in.

Aquarius AQ10000G 1-Gallon Glow Fish Globe Bowl Aquarium with Full Hood and 12 LED Glofish Lights
WARNING: UPDATE: 3 WEEKS LATER:
I have purchased in total, three of these aquariums. And All three aquariums within 3 weeks have clouded up permanently on the inside of the bowl, beginning at the water line, and spreading through out the bowl. I am unable to view the fish when they swim at the upper level of the bowl. I only rinse the bowl out with warm water. No abrasives are used in cleaning the acrylic. I can actually feel the coating of the acrylic on the inside of the bowl has deteriorated where it is cloudy. I do not recommend this bowl at all. There are 4 or 5 different light settings for this fishbowl, and I normally only use the LED white light. I put my betta in here, and he loves it! It's much larger than his old bowl and so far I've had no problems with it. It's easy to clean, easy to assemble and it really looks nice.
I'm not sure if it says anywhere on here, but this bowl is plastic. I was hoping for glass, but it's much lighter to carry with water in it, and still looks nice.I wanted a bowl for my betta fish that had a light and a lid, but no filter. This one was perfect! I only turn the light on once every other day, but after a couple of months, the "first" light the white one burned out. The others are still working fine, though. I love that there is a small hole for feeding my fish, but enough protection on top of the bowl so that my kitties can't get in it. I also like that it's lightweight for carrying, yet not too flimsy. Very pleased with this!!EDITED::::: I have to change this review because I've owned the 1.5 gallon version of this exact bowl since this past summer. Although my betta was happy in this bowl, it did not last more than 6 months. Despite being easy to maintain and easy to clean, the bowl itself is plastic. About 3 weeks ago I noticed the plastic started to become cloudy. I thought it was just algae so I emptied and cleaned it but could not scrub it clear again. It got worse over the following weeks despite water changes and today I took it and emptied it again and tried cleaning with a variety of things to make it clear again white vinegar, a baking soda paste, rubbing alcohol none of that worked. The bowl is so cloudy that you can barely see through it anymore. I've also noticed in the last week that the green bulbs have burned out, limiting my lighting options. For a bowl that is only 6 months old this is a very short life span. I had said that if my bulbs burned out I'd just purchase another bowl, but instead I picked up a nice, 1.75 gallon GLASS fish bowl at the pet store. Luckily the opening of that bowl will fit this lid so I'm keeping the lid until the rest of the bulbs burn out and then I'm going to purchase a clip on LED light. I'm done with these kits. Not worth it.
ORIGINAL REVIEW:
I own the 1.5 gallon version of this exact bowl. I had my beta in a larger full service tank, but it was just too much upkeep and he didn't seem to like it all that much. I bought this one and he's been living in it for about 5 months now and seems as happy as can be. It's easy to maintain and easy to clean. The bowl itself is plastic and I was afraid it would scratch or stain, but it's still as clear as the day I got it. The only thing I don't like about it is that the lid doesn't give room to put anything with a cord down inside, because there is no room for the cord through the lid. I had my beta in there with no heater, which he had in his tank, and he didn't move for weeks. So one day I got out my power drill and created a little opening in the lid for the cord to my underwater heater, and it has made a huge difference. Now he swims around and is a whole lot more active. So if you're going to use this bowl for a beta, I definitely recommend you get a little creative and find a way to get a heater in there. The lights are my favorite part of this bowl. It illuminates the bowl and my beta's fins so nicely, it's a really nice eye catcher and visitors are always commenting on my cool little beta bowl. I worry that the lights will burn out one day and I won't be able to find replacements, but I like the bowl enough that I will probably just purchase another in that case.I have had this for about a month and it is just perfect on my nightstand. I do have it sitting on a couple of my favorite books so I can see into it better. I watch my little beta every night! The plastic has not gotten cloudy like someone else said, but I figure if it does, I can find a glass bowl that will fit the top. It works for me!
SpongeBob SquarePants® Bikini Bottom® Aquarium Ornaments
The quality of the manufacturing isn't ideal, and the product can certainly harm your fish. The harm would come from the areas around where the door and window openings are formed into the body, as well as the rim around the bottom... In all those areas, the material seems to have been cut with a hot knife or some other type of thermal cutting tool, sharp plastic slag and edges on the interior where fish (especially if they have flowing fins like Bettas or goldfish) can harm themselves either by shredding the fins or damaging scales.....
I used fine sandpaper and steelwool to polish the sharp edges, and after a through cleaning placed the house into my tank.
the house looks good in the tank with a sand bottom.... but, there will be some modification you will have to do since this product is obviously mass produced with little attention to final quality.I was out Christmas shopping for my four bettas when I came across the Spongebob Squarepants pineapple house. I couldn't help myself but buy if for my female crowntail betta fish Syn. Syn loves it. The size of the windows are a perfect size. Syn swims through the holes with ease. She also likes to rest in it. I think it was well worth the $10 I spent on it.

Bought 2 pineapple houses for my two beta fish. They love it! They swim in and out of the windows and doors all the time. Then they will swim half way through a window and park there. I love watching them do this. If you love your fish, get them a pineapple house of their own.Read Best Reviews of SpongeBob SquarePants® Bikini Bottom® Aquarium Ornaments Here
this is probably my favorite part of my aquarium. i have spongebob, his house, squidward, his house, and a plankton right in the middle. both are shaped and sized good to allow fish easy access. my black ghost knife fish can even go through the windows. the one you need to stay away from is the krusty krab. waaaaay too small, and the sizes listed on amazon are completely off.Want SpongeBob SquarePants® Bikini Bottom® Aquarium Ornaments Discount?
this is the cutest damn thing i have ever seen for an aquarium! i bought it and the squidward house for my ten gallon, with some colorful plants, and it is so flippin adorable. it's about the size of a miniature, well, pineapple, or maybe a large apple/grapefruit. it is perfect, my fish love it, and it is a beautiful yellow orange that totally brings my tank to life. you will love it, best price out there for it too. counting the doorway there are six openings for fish to swim in and out. i have a betta and platies, and they are in bikini bottom heaven.some guy wrote a negative review either for this or the squidward house....saying his cat got into the tank and drowned because he couldn't get his head out of the doorways....a) WTF is your cat doing in your aquarium, and b) what alternate universe do you live in, the doorway is MAYBE two inches. i've had GPS screens bigger than this. so, don't listen!! it's obviously spam or someone with way too much time on his hands.
Elite Sponge Filter
I bought several items of this description to compare them, this was the second one i used.
I think it could be improved if it allowed an airstone to make finer bubbles (reducing noise) but it works as advertised and the price was decent.
Just a note: small, family run aquarist shops carry sponge filters of various sorts... big box stores rarely carry them.
If you're in the boonies, buy on amazon; otherwise visit your local small, non-chain store. This little filter is great for my Betta. I run it for an hour or two and it keeps his tank nice and clean.Price is right. Doesn't mount very well and is noisy it the tank. Does the job of cleaning the water as it should. For the price it is a good buy

I have a cascade filter, and have always just used Whisper filters but I thought I would give the "real" filter cartridge a try. I am going to use these up but I will not be buying them again. The whisper cartridges you can add more carbon to them if you want, these are completely sealed so no way of adding anymore carbon to them. In general the Whisper filters just seem to keep the tank clearer/cleaner. They do work but just not as well as the Whisper.Python Squeeze Siphon Starter Aquarium Adapter
First of all it is made for tubing that is either 1/2" or 1/4" These are the most common sizes for gravel suction hoses. It comes with 5 parts pre-assembled and a extra adapter for the 1/4" tubing. The rubber squeeze bulb is just that. There is the 1/2" adapter on one end. The other end is the the drain end which has 3 parts making a ball valve. Also this product is made in the U.S.A.
At first I didn't think the thing worked I squeezed several times and nothing. I read the instructions and it still didn't get it to work. Thinking that maybe it was clogged I opened it up (super easy to do, which is great if the pump every gets clogged with stuff you suck up)and realized how it worked.
In order for it to work you must have the draining end of the pump facing UP(They completely failed to mention this in the instructions). Once you've primed your suction tubing you can point the drain down into your bucket or wherever you're draining. The reason for this is the valve will be open if the drain end is facing down so when you squeeze the air pressure won't build up--air will just go out the drain end.
Anyway the product works great, which is great because although I love Snailbert (my snail) I am absolutely disgusted by him at the same. Now I don't ever come in contact with the water in his tank.
One downside is that I personally think it's a bit expensive, but maybe rubber is expensive or maybe it's because it's made in the the U.S.A.This bulb doesn't really work the way I expected it to. I expected it to start the siphon so I didn't have to pump the tube up and down in the water. But it doesn't do that. It will only start the siphon if you get it partially primed by pumping the tube. Plus, it's not marked for inlet or outlet or the flow direction, so you have to mess around with it to see which is the suction end. On top of that, it just doesn't create much suction. It comes apart easily, which may also be part of the problem. It was kind of a lot of money for something that doesn't work very well.

Much better than trying to siphon with your mouth or putting the hose in the tank most of the way. I actually modified mine to work with the little cleaning siphon hoses. I put a smaller pipe fitting in the suction side (coated with aquarium safe sealant) and let it dry over-night. The next day it worked GREAT with the smaller hose.Read Best Reviews of Python Squeeze Siphon Starter Aquarium Adapter Here
I should have bought this item long time ago but must have forgot about it.Good thing I remember and decide to buy it.
I attach a air line hose to this with a rigid tube and do my water changes with this baby...usually I use it for nano tanks and shrimp.
You have to turn the python upside down and give it a squeeze to build the pressure, then turn it right side up and your good! Water start flowing and now you can do you water changes. I fill up with tank with this the same way.
Nothing beats sucking up tank water!
Worth my money!
