The are floating upside down in my daughters aquarium and have been since about 5 minutes after I put them in there. I wouldn't reccomend this product.

I received the item with the base broke... pieces weren't in the packaging so it was broke before it was sent to me. I guess this didn't matter because I covered it with rocks anyways. But I have aggressive fish and it's holding up nicely, so overall I am happy with this tank decoration.

I bought two of these and was so excited when I opened the package. These are as big as a dinner plate and look real! They look elegant floating on my pond and are providing some much needed shade and decor. These are made out of a foam material and are so much more realistic than the plastic kind. Finnex 50-Watt Hang-On Electronic Controller Aquarium Heater, Titanium Tube, 10 to 20-Gallon
It's often hard to find decent equipment for the nano/pico tank, and when my previous Finnex heater with an external controller bit the dust (after years of service), I was glad to find this 50 Watt model available. It has been working perfectly for a nearly a month, now, so I expect to get several years of service out of it. Once you've had a heater with an external controller, why would you ever get one without it? They are just SO much more convenient to use.My only complaint about this model would be the very short cord (approx. 6") between the controller and the plug that goes into your electrical outlet. This definitely compromises the places you can put the controller within easy access, depending on the location of your tank and your outlets.
Otherwise, a fine, much appreciated product!

If you have a Fluval Spec V (or another type of nano tank), I would recommend this heater based on my experience so far. (have been using for close to a month)The 3 best features:
1. small size with enough power to get the job done
2. the controls are on the outside of the tank making it easy to adjust without ever having to move the heater.
3. it is metal instead of glass. therefore, a lot more durable.
The reasons I did not rate 5 stars:
1. when the heating element turns on/off, the controls make a pretty loud click. This can be a little annoying at night if you are trying to sleep next to it. (all aq. heaters do this, but most are quieter because they are underwater)
2. I wish the cord length between the heater and controller was a bit longer so it would be easier to hide the controller.
Bottom line: This heater is tough and keeps the water of my 5.6 gallon tank evenly heated at 77-78 degreed F. I suspect it would have no trouble with a bit larger tank too (the controls allow form more heat than that). It is convenient to use, and very compact.
side note: the instructions say to only position the heater horizontally, but I have had no trouble leaving it vertical in the hidden pump compartment of my Spec V.
UPDATE: 2 months in the tank and still going strong.This is a good product. I have a 10 gallon tanks and it was getting pretty chilly in the night. I just plugged the heater in and it works great, it keeps the temperature steady. It has been working for a couple of months now, with no problem at all. I am very satisfied, I definitely recommend this product.Can't ask for much more. Plug it in according to the directions and walk away. When external temperatures fluctuate it's important to have a heater that is accurate. Fishes are very happy!!

I thought this would be a great addition to my pond and provide my small koi a place to hide. This is a small shelter.I don't know what it is about it, but my fish won't swim into this. They swim around it but it sits unused. They prefer an old can and drainage pipe. I wouldn't recommend this product.
Hagen Marina Betta Aquarium Starter Kit, Sun Swirl
I used this product for a time for my Betta Fish, Sun Tzu. HE liked the tank, it was bigger than the cup I bought him in, and he was making beautiful bubble nests (meaning he was looking to breed, and he was secure in raising his fry in the tank.) However, I do not breed my Betta, but it was good to know he was feeling so confident in only a half gallon of water. I wall mounted it to protect him from the cats, and bought the LED light (sold separately) and that was pretty cool. First I bought a plastic plant to go with, then I moved to a live plant because I heard they improve water quality. Then I researched and realized he needed tropical water, so I bought a thermometer. I saw his water temp. was fluctuating between night and day (duh), and I was worried the temperature flux was putting to much stress on his tiny fishy body. I was also getting very tired of needing to do water changes every four days. SO... I ditched this tank and bought a 10 gallon tank complete with lighted hood, and power filter for less than what I payed for this tank (full price at the local national pet store chain). I put in a thermostat heater and some full spectrum lights (for growing aquarium plants) and bada-bing bada-boom, I have a beautiful planted tank, the center piece to my apartment, a VERY happy Betta fish with plenty of room to stretch his pretty little fins, plenty of places for him to hide if he wishes, and a tank that requires significantly LESS maintenance than this half gallon. That's just the up and down of it. I still keep this tank around for a back up, in case something needs quarantining, or if the Zombie Apocalypse happens and I need to take him and run. (I had a dream the apartment was on fire, and I used this to rescue him. Not a bad idea! ;D)IN CONCLUSION: This tank is not cruelty. My fish was lively and making bubble nests when he lived there for three months, but in all honesty, a non-filtered tank requires WAY more maintenance, and if you slack off, you could end up seriously hurting or killing your fish. Ammonia, Nitrates, Nitrites, all things you need to be wary of, and it's so much easier to just get a proper tank, something with a thermostat heater and a filter. Betta need water between 75 and 80 degrees to live comfortably. They are tropical fish.
WALL MOUNTING: Yes, you can screw it to your wall, but then the tank part is removable from the wall mount, making for easy water changes. You do not have to unscrew and remove the whole thing from the wall to change the water. You simply lift the tank off of it's wall mount/stand, do your do, and place it back. SUPER SUPER easy! Props for that, it's the best wall mounted tank money can buy. If you're cool with the constant water changes, then go for it.

Just bought the 50W model for my 10G tank. I set it to 79 degrees, and the thermometer agrees to this *exactly*, even on the weak side of the tank away from the filter.I know that I haven't had it long, but so far, so good.
UPDATE: 2 months in, it still heats well. The ambient temperature in the room has an effect on it, but the temp is staying +/2 degrees from 80. For a $20 heater, I'm satisfied with that.

PondCare Barley Clear
We have used this product for several years to control algae in a 2500 gallon pond. The Barley Clear does not harm the fish and ducks that use the pond and it is very easy to apply--we just sprinkle it into the water once a week. It has been very effective.
U.P. Aqua Professional (long) Scissor
Works great. sharp, cuts clean, and long reach. Nothing to complain about. i trim crypt wendtii, java fern, anubias, dwarf four leaf clover, and pennywort.
This 10 inch one is not too long. And it's priced very reasonably.
I wish it were a little smoother at the joint, but it is better than not to be able to hold the two blades.
The blade tips are accurate enough to cut very small plants.

Nutrafin Cycle Bio Filter Supplement - 8.4 Ounces
If you have an aquarium, you need Cycle. Without it, you will very likely kill your fish in an attempt to cycle the water to safe levels. With it, you can get you water cycle process started quickly so that the fish do not perish in a new aquarium. When used regularly it can helps to keep the water in balance. I recently had high ammonia levels and found that I had to pour about half the bottle into the aquarium (12 gallon) in order to fix the problem, but it did work. Aquarium water can be very tricky to deal with and if you do not check it regularly or maintain it (vacuum debris, change filter as needed, test water) you will have problems. Cycle will help, but it alone will not keep the water healthy.

I use this product weekly in my 10 gallon freshwater aquarium. This NutraFin Waste Control product has really made a difference in my life! I have two medium-large fish tanks (29 and 26 gallons). The larger tank has some large Freshwater Clown Loaches who are darling but who eat a lot and make a lot of waste. I'm a little hesitant to write this review as it's not a positive one and it seems that most people are quite happy with the product so maybe I got a defective one? I have no idea but I speak the truth on what's happening. This thing is not silent at all. I guess I fell prey to "silent" being in the name and chose it but if this is silent I would hate to hear a loud one. The pump is fully submerged. Water going in and out I guess is silent but the vibration created by the pump is HUGE. It vibrates the entire plumbing outake running through the aquarium which then vibrates the wood stand. This all creates a very loud HUMMMMM, (jokingly in the key of D for any musicians out there). Jokes aside though, it's very loud sitting next to my tv and stereo. I can muffle the vibration a little by holding the plumbing I did in a variety of ways and plan on securing the plumbing with insulation and straps to hold everything tight against the wood stand. This only minimizes the hum by the way. It doesn't eliminate it. If this method doesn't work I'd like to know how I'm going to figure it out or else I will have no choice but buy another pump. Over $100 is a LOT to throw away but this is by far the loudest thing running in the aquarium set up and it's ALL vibration. Somehow minimize the vibration it creates and it would be a nice pump but sheesh, should I have to DIY the thing like crazy to make it useable?
For the past week, I have been testing my system out with pure RO/DI water. There is absolutely nothing in the tank to clog or get in the impeller of the pump. And everything else is brand new. Several days ago, the pump has started to make a rather annoying vibrating, rattling sound. The sound gets louder as I increase the intake volume using the adjustable volute. Keep in mind I have only had this pump running for a week in pure RO/DI water and nothing else.
I thought the other reviewers were having problems because of user error or that their systems may have not been designed with silence in mind. However, now I agree with the other reviewers wholeheartedly. This pump is noisy and the sound keeps us up at night. This is with the tank in a completely different room. I am in the process of trying to find another pump. This was just going to be a temporary pump until the new Waveline pumps are available and then be a backup pump in case I ever needed it. However, I am returning this because I don't even want to keep it as a backup pump.

I've had it in my 50g reef tank a year with no issues. I havent even cleaned it. It did vibrate when it was touching the side glass, but I moved it and its basically silent now. People comment on how quiet my tank is. Its never failed to start or done anything funny. The pump is quiet, very well made, small for its output, came with 2x adapters to fit 0.75 and 1" hose, and makes very little heat my tank temperature dropped the day after I replaced my Mag drive 9.5.The plastic casing is high quality, not brittle and easily discolored like other brands. The tool-less maintenance is a huge plus, as is the fused magnet-ceramic shaft impeller, which won't
slow the pump down as it cannot lock up with calcium precipitate. The ends of the ceramic shaft are seated in ceramic bushings, which also resist precipitation.
I will update this review when I perform my first maintenance/cleaning.

I have a 400 gallon tank. I replaced 4x400 HQI halides.Originaly I went with 4 of these lights, I now have five and may go to six. You have to place them within 4" of the waters surface and this limits thier spread. I have acros and they are doing well. As the other reviewer said they are not as intense as halides on a fixture for fixture basis however, using more fixtures gets you the same effect.Taking into consideration the cost of a traditional halide fixture and bulb are about the same as these fixtures, the savings in electricity and maintinance on the fixtures themselves, LED is far and away a superior light to metal halide in almost every way.
I went from 1.6 killowats per hour 10 hours a day to 600 watts 10 hours a day. While that is less than half the watts, that is not where the real savings is. The real savings is in the heat, or rather how cool these lights run.
If you ever have had halides you know how hot they are.Between my chiller the A/C and running fewer watts my power bill has gone down $450.00 per month. I still need my chiller but is only runs 15 minutes an hour instead of 45 minutes an hour and keeps my tank at 77. I live in south FLA its hot all the time.
Additionally I was spending $500-600 a year keeping the system running,not including electriciy, bulbs and ballasts anually.
I have heard of people having problems with these lights and that led wholesalers is not really helpful however I have never had a failure with these. I bought mine on ebay from the same vendor for $315 including shipping.

I've been using two of these on my 150 gallon reef setup. They throw quite a bit of light and my corals are maintaining pretty good. 1 more light would probably be needed for good growth. The one thing I wish these had were the reflectors that gave the water a shimmering effect like the metal halides that i replaced.I recently bought the smaller version of this light. This light is Dangerous & Poorly Made.
I was so excited to get 2 of these lights for my saltwater reef tank. I spent the extra money to have them overnighted.
They came today. I opened the first box and I plugged it, after a moment the fans came on and the LEDs came on. I unplugged it and set it aside
You can imagine my disappointment when I plugged in the second one and it did not work. There is no on off switch so the way you turn it on and off is you plug or unplug it.
When it did not come on after a minute, I unplugged it and plugged it back in. This time when I plugged it back in I got a shock!
When both units were unplugged I looked at them closely. Looking through the vents I noticed wires hanging down. These lights come with 3 prong plug (the third is the ground), but with close inspection you can clearly see inside the ground wire is sniped and attached to nothing.
After comparing the 2 units you can see they are put together with entirely different internal parts. The internal parts of these lights look they were cobbled together from spare parts you would find in your junk drawer.
The defective unit literally has a wall plug glued to the inside top of the unit, with a wires soldered to each prong and electrical tape wrapped around the prongs. INSIDE THE UNIT!?!?
There should be negative stars for product like this.
Avoid this unit i at all costs!
I would suggest that anyone who has one of these units, unplug it and stop using it.

I used this light for my 45 gallon bowfront reef tank for 5 months, replacing a 175w metal halide. My corals grew very well with this light and everyone in the tank seemed happy. The color is too stark for my taste compared with either metal halide (10k) or florescent lights, both of which give a more rich tone and coloration to my eye. Also this unit has very loud fans, louder than my hang-on-back skimmer. Electricity savings and less heat are positives.Pro:
Energy efficient.
Less heating (save on chilling).
Good coral growth.
Inexpensive compared to competitors.
Con:
Color is too narrow/stark for my taste, washes out corals and fish.
Noisy fans.
Not made to be easily mounted other than by the hanging cables.
Lose shimmer effect relative to MH lights.
Bottom line: When I upgraded my tank to a 75g with overflow, I was thinking of buying a second one of these. I directly compared this LED light to the MH and florescent lights that came with the tank, and I just couldn't bring myself to use this LED fixture anymore. I'm selling it.
