I had my boyfriend put the cleaner together because I don't have the strength to put it together. Works well and easy to put it away. I have three turtles and a 55 gallon tank so cleaning was hard to do. The pump has made it a lot easier.
These are crap they dont have the ring the others that come with the product do and the weave is so tight after just a day it's so clogged no water will flow through these cartridge filters. I'm Pretty sure we will have to buy another filter unit thanks to these s***ty filters. they have been nothing but a problem sice we got them.Do not waste your time or money buying these pieces of junk.

I bought this at the recommendation of the pet store where i routinely shop. I had troublesome over growth of algae in my Turtle tank. I placed one pouch in my Fluval filter..didn't see much of a difference for the first two weeks (as the pet store person told meit takes time to kick in) but on about the third week, i noticed the algae starting to disappear. I usually had to scrub algae off the glass...but they seemed to just start vanishing by themselves. I realized after cleaning out my filter that they were dying and being sucked into the filter, as my filter seemed full of dead algae but my tank was CRYSTAL CLEAN. 6 months after my first use of this and i haven't seen a lick of algae on the glass...not one bit ! They say you have to change the pouch, but i'm still using the same pouch i initially used and it's still working..which speaks to the power of this product. My daughter has a 3 gallon freshwater fish tank with 3 fish that we set-up about 4 months ago. I didn't clean it for two weeks and suddenly we had algae. I cleaned the tank but was worried about getting the water clear again and while doing research, I found an ad for Algone. I ordered it from Amazon and put it in with the filter. The water seemed to be getting better, but was still cloudy. Cleaned the tank again 1 week after putting Algone in the filter and replaced it with a new packet since there was algae all over the first one. Changed out about 20% of the water. I was skeptical about this product and the ingredients are proprietary so I really had little faith that such a small package in a 30 gallon tank would work. Yet other reviews on various aquarium message boards gave it high marks, so I thought I'd give it a try. I wasn't having a terrible algae problem, but enough so that the water just looked murky. My tank came with incandescent bulbs that raised the temperature in the tank during the day by about 4 degrees Farhenheit. Ugh. These fluorescent bulbs are so much better--the plants love them, the colors on the fish are noticeably brighter, and the temperature difference is nil!This is the replacement bulb for my 5 gallon hex tanks. With the bulb on an average of 6 hours a day, it lasts approx 2 years in my experience. The item was poorly packed for shipment and when I opened it it seemed a bit flimsy. One concern I had before ordering was that it would not be good for my mice. However the bars are close enough together that nobody can escape. It has two nice size doors which allowed me to add two small mouse running wheels while not clogging up the whole second level. All I can say in the end is that the mice LOVE their new digs; this is far far far better than the plastic garbage that the pet stores sell. Like I said, it is kind of cheaply constructed but it serves its purpose well in terms of squeaky approval so who am I to complain?

Received as promised from Amazon. Installed filter to my 1000 gallon fish pond. Has been installed and running for 5 days now and already I can see the difference. My prior filter was to small, over the years my fish population has grown. So a new filter was in order. Tetra Pond Bio-Active Pressure Filter is working perfectly. On installation, I dug a hole and used the 20 gallon bucket (from a big box home store for around $10) and sat the filter in the bucket. I used 11/2" PVC pipe as my backwash with a union to make it easy to disconnect for winter storage. After looking at many filters I decided on this one to go along with the Tetra Pond Debris-Handling Pump DHP3600.
Top portion of the bubble counter is not hermetically sealed to the bottom cylinder. Had to use Teflon tape to seal the top brass piece to the plastic cylinder. Then it worked fine.

I bought this as a replacement for the bubble counter that came with my Milwaukee regulator kit. The inlet side is 1/8" female NTP -it fit the Milwaukee needle valve just fine -and the outlet side is a compression fitting that will fit most standard air/co2 tubing. With softer more pliable tubing I found the barb on the compression fitting to be a bit short so the tube wouldn't stay on unless the compression nut was placed on just right. I bought this from wal-mart cause it was cheaper and was a very cool and easy tank meaning I found both a hang on back filter and one that suctions on the glass and a heater worked great to but I do have to leave the water low cause of it open top but I like it and my betta loves all the space for breathing. Don't believe the photo Goldfish NEED at the very least a 20 gallon and must upgrade people the picture is at a photo shoot and those Goldfish where only in this tank for a few minutes.
