The only reason i gave 4 stars instead of 5 was because once the bedding was down,there wasnt much viewing space so we had to move them to an eye-level shelf. It's not at all natural looking, but since I have 3 tanks, they each have a different theme. This decoration went into my Spongebob themed tank with my baby mollies. It adds a nice pop of color that is very characteristic of spongebob. I think it looks nice in my "fun" tank, but I definitely would not have put it in my natural tank.

3 months ago I bought nice coral but few days after that I've notice few little guys crawling around it...after doing my research it appeared to be a bristle worm..some people would tell that's good for you and these worms are great scavengers but for me they look really creepy :) so I decided to buy a banded shrimp which didn't work out at all and last nigh I saw 1 bristle worm in my aquarium 10'' long and almost had a hearth attack :)..Today I went to the Aquarium Store to get six line wrasse and arrow crab but end up buying Trap Em Bristle Worm Trap.I sat it up right after coming back from the store and after 5 minutes I got the first one around 5''...after 30 minutes the big one 10'' tried to get to the bite but couldn't fit into the hole :) but it was enough to pull him out...that's a big relief that this trap actually worked even in day time...

If you have bristle worm I'm sure it'll help you to at least reducing the number of these guys..if you wanna keep them that's fine but they're growing really fast and to really big size...I'd rather stay with my hermit crabs and snails doing my clean-up job...

The crabs pull the ends off and the bristle worms escape. If you have time to sit and watch it, and empty it as soon as you see a worm or two in it, then it might be ok. So I bought the trap-em, trap to get rid of a few pesky bristleworms that hitch hiked on my live rock. There's 3 big monsters in my tank, or should I say, was.After reading some forums online, they all typically recommend that you use a homemade concoction over one of these, but, I tried my hand at both. Within the first 24 hours, I had caught one of the major worms inside the trap, however, I think that his friends caught onto my doings and haven't gone into it yet. I figure I'll wait a few more weeks before I try my hand again, hopefully I'll snag the remaining two. If you want to spend the 10-15 bucks on this, its not a bad investment.

The 24 hour cycle is a few minutes fast for me. That is, it is about 23 hours and 50ish minutes. I end up having to reset it once a week to make sure it is on schedule.
The Zoomed dual aquarium timer is an excellent alternative, it has always worked for me and it has 2 outlets (only 1 works on the timer). This replaces the outlet that the timer is plugged into, and it is at about the same price for a much higher quality product.

After reading the one-star review, here are my two cents:This product worked for me.
Don't put the mother in this nursery until the mother is due.
This product saves baby fish by pumping water from the bottom of the mother's pen into the nursery pen for the baby fish. When the fish are born, the fry are sucked down and up into the nursery pen.
Use a gang valve to adjust the air powering the vacuum so that it doesn't overwhelm the mother.
Pretty amazing, and the best concept for a consumer-level birthing pen that I have come across. Interesting to watch, too.
The plastic is the same brittle plastic that other nurseries use.
The small nursery pen should only be used temporarily before transferring the fry to a larger nursery with nylon netting.
PLEASE AVOID AT ALL COST!

The product description states this "is a completely automatic system" that "creates a constant circulation." That is not even remotely true. This unit is simply a set of two very small, connected tanks that creates no circulation of any kind. If you want the water to circulate, and thus do what this product is supposed to do, you will have to purchase and attach a separate pump. Unfortunately, there's very little guidance on what kind of pump to purchase or how to hook it up. You will also need a gang valve, a check valve, and several sections of tubing, but, again, there's little in the included instructions to help you (not even an illustration of the final assembled unit).Based on the misleading product description, and the fact that this item is completely useless without them, a pump with valves and tubing clearly should have been included with this set. A great idea that was very poorly executed. That being said, if you purchase the additional four items and get everything hooked up properly, it works fairly well.

Tetra EasyStrips 6-in-1 Test Strips
I have been using this for about a week and comparing it against my API Master Test Kit and here are the results I got.I have a 10 gallon tropical freshwater tank, a 8 gallon shrimp tank and a small betta fish tank.
All of the them are cycled and controlling the parameters are important for the shrimp tank.
I got this for the convenience vs liquid test kits, which are known to be more accurate
There was well over 1 year till the expiry date but I have found the test strips to be inaccurate.
Tetra test strips vs. API master test kit
Nitrate(ppm): 30 vs 80
Nitrite(ppm): 0 vs 0
GH(ppm): ~75 vs 80
KH(ppm): ~60 vs 120
pH: ~6.6 vs 8.0
The parameters that way off are Nitrate, KH, pH and also Chlorine.
I do not have a Cl test kit but there is no way my tap water has 0ppm of Cl. I smell it myself in a bath.
Bottom line: extremely inaccurate.

Aqueon Evolve 2 LED Aquarium Kit, 2 gallons
I own the 2 gallon model of this aquarium which comes (as of this review) in 2, 4 and 8 gallon models. I can only speak towards the 2 gallon version, though it seems reasonable to expect that all three equally share the same pros and cons.Overall this is a nice tank. Complete with power filter, LED lighting with daylight and moonlight modes and lids (one for the back filter section and one for the overall front aquarium section).
THE LED LIGHT
Is pretty nice. The daylight mode is very bright, impressively so. It shows every ripple of water producing that often sought after dancing affect. Even the moonlight mode is bright enough to produce this affect, yet not so bright as to be mistaken for anything but moonlighting.
THE FILTER
I personally do not like cartridge filtration that I must replace often. Instead I put a small bag of "bio-max" (the AquaClear 20 version) in the filter section with two sponges (also AquaClear 20 version) for the filtration. It does come with a nano sized version of the standard Aqueon filter cartridge, which works really well, I just prefer the former setup. The filter area also has plenty of room for a nano aquarium heater to be put out of sight! Big plus, IMHO, as heaters tend to be an eye-sore, especially in such a small tank as this one (2 gallons).
The pump on mine was not attached to the output nozzle new from the box. The easiest way to get the pump up and out to attach everything correctly will be by pulling on the power cord. Please note that the bottom of the pump has suction cups, and when you put it back down in, it will stick. Sometimes when pulling it back out the suction cups will come off. A very small fish net will easily fish them out, and they are easy to snap back on the pump itself. The pump has a good bit of power for such a small tank as this (2 gallons), but I discovered that the pump is adjustable! There is a circular slider on the side of the pump which will cut the flow down greatly, perfect for a Betta. I've got mine set to the most minimum output.
THE AQUARIUM
Is nicely done, elegant and light-weight. The aquarium is acrylic so one must use all the same cautions and maintenance as any other acrylic aquarium.
THE LIDS
Now this is where I wonder what they were thinking. The lids just don't seem to fit right. They DO fit, and work, but they just aren't right. They are a little too wide and don't seem to be deep enough. I'll try and upload pictures. Nevertheless, they are not cheap feeling. I don't think I'm being picky here, they just need minor adjustments to be perfect. This is not a deal breaker though, and I think most people won't even use the main front lid, but the back only.
I hope that this review is helpful, and I would highly recommend this tank.

UPDATE
After having this tank for a while now, I did decide, since my original review above, to perform a modification to the flow as I now believe the flow is a little strong for a betta. I simply drilled holes in the small tube that runs from the pump to the outlet, thereby decreasing the water flow a good bit more, and my betta seem happier. He did alright before, but with the reduced flow he is out and about more. I put a good bit of holes in the tube to really reduce the flow for the better. If your betta seems bothered by the flow, then drill the holes! I didn't even use a drill, just a drill bit in a screwdriver by hand, easy. Be sure to wash the tube to remove small particles before putting it back in the tank.
I examined all the different size tanks before my purchase and found that all three sizes had the same size lighting arrangements. Wanting to keep corals, I knew I wanted the most wattage per gallon. The tank's actual volume appears to be only 1.7 gallons and, as mentioned in other reviews, the flow is quite strong even at the pump's lowest setting. Because it's so small, working in it can be difficult. Arranging my live rock was a chore ensuring not to scratch the acrylic. I feel the tank design could easily be achieved with glass as well. Filtration is adequate and flexible. I placed some biological media in the bottom of the reservoir in addition to the cartridge designed for the tank. Back to the LED lighting, it has kept my Duncan, Zoanth, and Ricordea in great shape and the blue moonlights really bring out their fluorescence. The lid could fit a little better but it works; though, water evaporates from this thing like crazy. They sell a heater marketed for this aquarium separately but any small, low wattage heater will suffice.
In summary, this is a great package. Somewhat on the level of a very small bio-cube, it has everything needed to sustain a quaint little ecosystem.

I bought the aqueon evolve 2 because the guy at the pet store recommended it and I liked that it had a filter and a cool design. The problem was, I was going to put a twin tail halfmoon betta in there and the filter was waaaay too strong, even after I lowered the power. It pulled the beta straight to the intake and I was worried it was going to shred his poor fins, not to mention the strength of the current totally freaked him out (they like their water fairly still). I later discovered this is a problem most people have had to deal with with this model. My solution was to put a piece of filter insert foam between the intake and the charcoal filter and then disengage the tubing and the spout from the pump. This lowered the pressure of the current by diffusing the water and is keeping my betta from shredded. I was disappointed that a $60 tank (regular price) needed to be modified to keep my fish happy, but fortunately all it took was only about $3.00 in modifications and a little ingenuity. Just got off the phone with Aqueon customer service. They were very helpful. I was told that the first generation of the Evolve 2 tanks were packaged with a pump that indeed is too large for that size tank. (this implies that Aqueon has corrected the mistake for the newer generation of Evolve 2 tanks so hopefully consumers won't be having this problem much longer). In any event, as soon as I mentioned that my fish were getting sucked up into the filter intake, she confirmed that indeed the pump is too strong and immediately offered to send me a replacement pump which will be better suited for the 2 gallon tank.For anyone who has this tank and is having problems with the pump being too strong, call customer service and give them an opportunity to make it right. Their number is 1-800-255-4527. I did not have to furnish receipts, or read UPC numbers off a box (thank goodness b/c I've already thrown it away) .... just told them I have an Evolve 2 tank and that's all they needed to know. Hopefully when my new pump arrives in a few days my last remaining guppy will be much happier.

AquaTop Aquarium Heater - 100W
Lesson learned: You get what you pay for. The Aqueon 06106 Pro Heaters Submersible Aquarium Heater, 100-Watt works better (it was recommended to me) but it's almost twice the price on Amazon and even more at the pet store so I got this. I bought it the last week of June to treat ick in a tank. It was always about 3 degrees off but I dealt with it. I used it occasionally, I'd say I used this heater for a total of 15 days before it malfunctioned. I decided about a week ago to buy some tropical fish and I tried to get this to heat to a constant 77 degrees. Worked fine before bed, but I woke up the next morning to dead fish and a tank temperature of 86 to 88 degrees! It was HOT in there! I call the company and what do I hear?"Maybe your thermometers are inaccurate." BOTH OF THEM?
"Is it hot outside your house?" Does it matter? The tank is INSIDE my house, and my room temperature is a steady 68 degrees. I live in the Arctic. No, it is not hot outside my house.
I don't know about you, but when I get asked stupid questions like that by people blaming everything but their product for a malfunction, I get kind of annoyed. I was promised a refund by the guy I called for support, then their returns department denied it because I've had the unit for almost 3 months. They said they do not issue refunds after 14 days, and if I want to use the warranty I have to pay to ship the item to them! For a $16 heater, that is not even worth my time or money paying to ship it back, let alone the cost of gas to drive to the post office! What kind of "customer service" is that? I'm sure they bet on people not bothering to pay return shipping for the warranty and instead buy a new one!
This heater was not accurate from the start. If it's going to kill my fish and I have to "re-calibrate it" (their suggestion) over and over again to get it to work temporarily, I am not going to use it and risk a repeat of fish casualties. I unplugged it, pulled it out of the water 10 minutes later and it burnt my hand it was so hot. It smelled strongly of burnt rubber. Unsafe. Do not buy Aquatop!!! Spend a few bucks more on a quality product.
Last time I am buying an Aquatop product of any kind!
I have a 20 gallon tall aquarium, it was a kit purchased from Petsmart that included a filter and heater. However, starting with the first day I was having problems with the included heater. No mater how many times I nudged the temperature nob down, it always found its way back to 82 degrees which is 4 degrees warmer than I wanted. Eventually I decided enough was enough and bought this 100W heater as a replacement.
So far everything works perfectly. I left it running for a day and saw that it too had the water at 82 degrees with the nob set at 78. Ugh, not again! However, this heater allows you to 'calibrate' the dial by lifting the red peg on top, and rotating the dial to the temperature your tank is at. I did so, changing it 82, then pushed the red peg back in, and turned the dial down to 78. Day 2 comes around, and all three thermometers agree the tank is now at 78! Perfect =)
Two weeks later, the temperature has been rock solid. It's February so the house is the coldest it will usually be throughout the year and it's performing perfectly, we keep the house at 65 during the night.
This heater is all black in color, and has an orange LED that turns on whenever the heater is on. The top features a dial with actual temperature numbers and not arbitrary numbers (for example 1-10). As mentioned above, if it is keeping a temperature other than what it says, you can adjust the dial and recalibrate it. Chances are you'll never change the dial again, but is useful in any case if you have the misfortune of getting sick fish, for example ich where treatment requires a rise in temperature.
This heater is fully submersible, even though it does have a max water line on it (I think this is for Canada regulations).
I will update this review if I ever have a problem with it, no updates means it is still working perfectly.

I will never again purchase any AquaTop (TruAqua) product.I purchased the 100w heater with digital display over a year ago. Just past the one year mark, the heater stopped functioning properly. The thermostat got stuck on 90 degrees (normally 74). I sent the heater back to AquaTop with a letter documenting what had happened and requesting a replacement. Surely a company that warranties a product for 12 mos would not want a disatisfied customer with a useless heater that only lasted 14 mos. An email conversation began between Albert in the Returns Dept and myself. He stated he was unable to be of assistance. I responded requesting a new heater or a credit toward a heater purchase. No dice. I requested a supervisor and was refused one. Finally Albert conceeded by offering me half off the same model ($39.99 regular price, $20 for me). I agreed. When the new heater arrived, there was condensation inside the glass tube and the box was marked with a special sticker (possibly a return from another customer or a "refurbished" unit). I tried the heater out anyway. It did not even last a week before the display went to all 8's and the thermostat got stuck on an undesired temperature. I again emailed Albert for resolution. He asked me to send him evidence (photos) of the issues. I complied. He sent me an RMA number and UPS label and I returned the unit. I went online immediately to purchase a new heater. The exact same model on Amazon and on the TruAqua website was $14.99. He gave me a "deal" by charging me $20? Weeks later, after emailing Albert again, I received my $20 back. TruAqua aka AquaTop is difficult to do business with, rude to their customers (and I have been a loyal customer for YEARS), and they intentionally overcharged me for the item. No thank you!

This sucker cracked the first night I tried to use it. Maybe giving it 20 mins submerged in my tank wasn't enough time for the glass to adjust, but I maintain a half dozen tanks with 2 heaters each and this is the 1st time I've ever had one fail like this. It wasn't a spectacular fail that lit up the tank or killed all my fish (thank god) but a cracked glass shell and a failed unit none the less. And no, before you comment or ask if I just chucked it in the tank and fired it off, I didn't. Like I said, it was unplugged and submerged for a full 20 mins before I tried it. Then I plugged it in and approximately 30 to 45 sec later it cracked and I could see a faint trail of "tiny little bubbles" comeing from said crack. Unplugged and pulled the thing out and sure enough "done". I won't slam or badmouth Aquatop over this, I own plenty of their other products and am quite pleased with them(tank heaters included), just had a bad experience with this one.

These people really know their stones! Beautiful black slate pieces in multiple sizes small to big. Will be using these pieces not as a cave but in a natural dish garden design. Plan to use them to design small "retainer walls" around water features. Small terrarium-size plants will be used all around to give the viewer the feeling they are in a forest, looking at a waterfall over rocks. Can't wait to use them in my dish garden to be entered in an upcoming national convention!
