The 24 hour cycle is a few minutes fast for me. That is, it is about 23 hours and 50ish minutes. I end up having to reset it once a week to make sure it is on schedule.

I wish I could give negative numer of stars. Just dont buy it, I bought 3 and 2 didn't work.

The Zoomed dual aquarium timer is an excellent alternative, it has always worked for me and it has 2 outlets (only 1 works on the timer). This replaces the outlet that the timer is plugged into, and it is at about the same price for a much higher quality product.

This timer is an excellent product for aquarium owners, especially those building their first tanks. The timer is easy to set, and doesn't cause any problems for the metal hallide light I have attached to it. Definitely an excellent product to buy!

So so design. Takes a lot of space. Confusing setup process. Not sure it works properly. Wouldn't buy it again.
