My pond goldfish like it. Small pellets for smaller fish. My fish are about 4-5 inches, and they can eat 2 at a time.

The goldfish in our pond love this food. Previous years we used a regular goldfish flake food, and always had algae problems (it never occurred to me there might be a different food for pond fish versus aquarium fish). I'm not sure if this food is what's helped so much this year, but this year we have a crystal clear pond and seemingly super happy fish. I know it, because this summer I could actually see them! This is a great product. The aerator works very well and is not loud at all. The bubbles it produces are small and so son't disturb the water surface too much even when adjusted up to highest air flow. The LED lights make the entire thing look awesome!! And I was happy that it has it's own aerator. I thought I would have to buy an air pump to run it, but it has its own submersible pump that fits right under the Eiffel Tower. I couldn't be happier with it.

We got this little aquarium for my daughter's first fish, a betta. It is the perfect size. We even have a small plant in it. We did decide not to affix the stickers on the front because they blocked the fish from our view. Overall, very cute!

I decided to get a pet fish, spur of the moment. I started looking for starter tanks on here and we can all agree this tank is very cute. The day after it arrived I went to the pet store and picked out 2 fish. The pet store employee and I talked for awhile. Because this tank DOES NOT HAVE A FILTER, he gave me a product that required me to drop 2 drops of the substance into the fresh tank water every time I cleaned it so it could help purify the water. I was so excited to bring my fish home. Took ALL the necessary steps when it came to helping them adjust. Not even 48 hours later, 1 of my fish was dead. I thought maybe the product had something my fish had a bad reaction too. I cleaned the entire tank again, this time leaving out that step. My fish seemed to be doing absolutely fine. After a few days, it stopped eating. Not only that, but at night it was VERY active and would have these spazz attacks. Just now, it died as well. 2 fish in less that a week. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this product AT ALL. It is VERY small and because it does not have a filter, the water turns absolutely disgusting within 24 hours. There is no doubt that there were high levels of bacteria and ammonia. There was nothing I could do, either. I tried to keep it as clean as possible. This tank is inconvenient and I beg anybody that clicked on this page to please not purchase it.

CREE LED 72 watt DIMMABLE Reef Aquarium light Model XPG R5/XPE = 250MH

This is a well made light that has been working in my aquarium for 2 months. It is strong enough that I can see bubbles of O2 float up from my desired algae (from photosynthesis) I have not gotten any photosynthetic corals yet but I expect good results. Also the light comes well packaged and quickly.

Update: added frogspawn, torch and plate corals all doing very well, I also have a maxima clam who is also doing very well. this is a very good light. do not be afraid to put a strong light on your tank due to algae growth algae can only grow to the point of absorbing all the nitrates if you maintain the tank well and have a strong cleaning crew algae will not be a problem

I purchased this for a 24 gallon jbj nano cube. I didnt want something that would break the bank but I also wanted a fixture that was dimmable and this one fit the bill.

Well my first fixture had 2 led's that were off in color so after contacting the seller they sent me a return label and I was able to return it and a little while longer I received my replacement.

All the led's were good to go in the replacement but the case was a little bit different than my first fixture. The first fixture had nice rounded edges and looked like it was pretty well put together.

The replacement didnt look like it was put together as nicely but hey at least it was going to get the job done. The whole process of returning the old fixture and getting the new one took about 2 months so that stunk. Overall I'm happy with the led fixture. I've owned the tao tronics or however you say it and those were nice too. If I had the choice of going with this fixture again or saving up and getting something better, I would probably save up and go with something better. I do feel like you get what you pay for in this hobby. Although you may not need to spend $600 on led's that will get the job done, I would have gone with something a little higher end such as AI SOL's or something comparable. Anywho I hope you find this somewhat helpful.

Fish Mate F14 Aquarium Fish Feeder

I have owned one of these units for over two years and use it to dispense food when I am away for short periods. The primary advantage of this unit over others that I own ie Eheim, Aquachef and Rena is the ability to dispense the precise amount of food you desire and even alternate the type of food between feedings.

Filling the small compartments was somewhat problematic until I began using a 1/8 tps measure for that purpose.

Care must be taken to ensure that the food compartment unit is positioned right side up. Failure to do so results in no food being dispensed.

I spent over a week mulling over which feeder to buy. Most of them out there don't deal with pellet food well at all based on the reviews. This feeder came with some caveats based on the reviews too. But knowing what I got into made everything easy and I have to admit that this was the best purchase for my BETA fish (2 beta fish in 2 separate tanks with 2 of these feeders). The caveat that made me worry was that each compartment, when rotating, had a small ridge where all the food didn't go in, or in the case of 1 BETA fish and only 3 pellets, none of it would go in. HOWEVER, it consistently rotates to this same spot (and this was not mentioned). Therefore, when I set up the feeder, I already prepared for the fact that the feeder would essentially miss the first meal. I, therefore, fed them manually when it was first set up. After that first time, both my tanks with only 1 fish in each tank, have been operating automatically flawlessly! The easy of access to fill the individual feeding compartments was a BONUS that I didn't expect nor read about. When there is only 3 compartments left (out of the 14) with food, I go in and easily drop 3-4 pellets in the empty ones, so there is no interruption. I plan on going away for 2 weeks and I will set it to rotate just once a day with 8 pellets in each compartment in that scenario. I expect things will run smoothly.

I full endorse this product for BETA fish with pellet food since it worked well with me.

The only one I have seen that allows you to vary the amount for each day (e.g. you can put more in the feeder for the weekend but still have a "base" feeding amount during the week). Also, the only feeder I have that reliably delivers the chosen amount on the day chosen.

One problem with other (horizontal-axis rotating) feeders I have found is that the ones I tried did not reliably deliver the chosen amount; large flakes would block delivery altogether or at least reduce it, while small flakes would lead to excessive amounts of feed, unlike the Fishmate F14.

After about a year, the rotating part on the Fishmate F14 would sometimes get stuck, which is why I am awarding only 4 stars. Still, if you want the features mentioned above, it's the only game in town that I have seen (so far).

Delivery time was much better than expected.

The F14 Unit however is somewhat disappointing. The mechanism is fairly simple, but do not be tempted to load the unit and leave for several days. Try it out before you leave the fish alone. The red "pegs" used for setting the timer do not always engage.

Also, the suction cups on the unit are a joke. I made a bracket to attach it to my lamp which is much more secure.

I needed an autofeeder because I was going to be gone for close to two weeks. I bought this particular feeder because it gave me the ability to feed different types of foods to my fish while I was gone, rather than one big drum of flakes. It also gave me the ability to occasionally drop a shrimp pellet or algae wafer in the tank for my cleanup crew.

Some patience is required when putting food in this feeder. The sections are small, so it's easy to get food into another compartment or elsewhere on/around the feeder.

I used the air tube attachment to make sure no moisture got in the feeder, which seemed to work well. Granted, I don't know if the food would have been just as dry if I didn't hook the air pump up to it, but decided not to take a chance.

I couldn't find a good way to use the bracket that came with the feeder with my setup, which included a glass aquarium top. I have two female bettas in my tank (it's the males that will fight to the death), so I was reluctant to completely remove the glass top while I was gone. I also didn't want excessive evaporation of my tank water over a two week period. I was able to put my feeder on top of my light (Marineland LED) and remove a plastic filler part of my hood so the food could drop in the tank.

Overall, this product worked very well in my absence.

Marina Decor Polyresin Cave, Small

Update.The Fluval Spec was damaged and was way too small. We bought a 5 gallon aquarium kit locally. The small cave works great. The betta loves it. There has been no fading or chipping or coloring of the water. A great item still.

We just received this cave and it's pretty cool. We haven't received the aquarium yet so I can only comment on the dry cave itself.

The plants were bent from being in the shipping box. A few minutes with the hot setting on my hair dryer fixed that. They are not silk, but a very soft plastic. I see no problem with our betta tearing his fins on it.

The cave is made of very thick resin and it is heavy for its size. The plants are removable if you don't like them. We will leave them on. The bottom is open so placing it should be no problem. The inside of the cave is black to provide a better refuge.

It's relatively large to be labeled as small, but the medium and large versions are huge. The measurements were provided on the Amazon item page so it wasn't a surprise.

This one will be going in a Fluval Spec and it looks to be a perfect fit with a couple 8" silk plants behind it.

I haven't seen any better in this size and price range and we did a great deal of shopping before ordering our new aquarium and equipment. As always, Amazon is a great place to shop.

Good quality material, my Betta loves it! One of the leave snapped off pretty easily during the first washing of it though, but it's not really a big deal. Unlike the other reviews, this item will not cloud your tank. The 'clouding' people experience is due to a bacterial bloom, and can happen when cleaning your tank and adding new water. It clears up in about a week or so, which is why when the reviewer removed the cave days later the cloudiness seemed to go away with the removal of the cave. I'd definitely recommend this to fish lovers though! It looks nice, arrived bubbled wrapped and all, perfect condition, and the fish was in it just hours after putting it in the tank.

My mom has African clawed frogs, the big ones not the mini's. They love to have privacy and hide during the day. These are great, I bought 2 one for each frog. We have them in a 29 gallon tall tank with a big piece of driftwood and some other small plants and there is still plenty of room. They are quite durable and have no chips or paint loss, and there are easy to wash too. I plan on buying a few more for my fish tank for the shy fishies in there.

My betta is in a 3 gallon tank which gets one water change a week. The next day after adding the cave, the water was very cloudy. I changed the water and cleaned the cave thoroughly with just water, put it back in and the next day the water was cloudy again. Took the cave out, changed water and now the water is clear three days later. I don't know why the cave is clouding the water and if it's harmful to my fish, but I won't be using it again.

Edited to add: The plastic plant is WAY too sharp for any fish and I removed it as soon as I took it out of the box.

My fish like the little nooks and crannies of the rocks and gives my pleco something to hid on. The other fish like swimming through this and playing around it. Adds some hiding spots without filling the tank full of plastic.

Started my first salt water tank with this product. After 2 days the sand settled and cleared. After testing the water and finding the ammonia, nitrates and nitrites at "zero level," I turned on the filters, skimmers and heater and added fish once the water temperature was at 77F. It was easy and I would definitely purchase and use this product again! I would definitely recommend this product to people new to marine reef/fish keeping. Takes a lot of the hassle out of the process.

Great product looks great in tank and It really helps stabilize ph and is just straight up great for any tank.

Granted, I'm not using the nets that I purchased on traditional fish tanks. Instead, I use them to clear floating debri in my horses' water tanks. The netting so far seems to be holding up to the repeated usage. What I find lacking is strength in the wire frame. On all three nets that I bought, the wire frames are easy to bend and distort. The wire is not as stiff as previous nets I have had. In that respect, I'm a bit disappointed with the product ... but not to the extent that I wouldn't buy them again.
