EHEIM Jager Aquarium Thermostat Heater 125W
one note... if you place jager heaters in less water then they are rated for, you need to set the temp lower by as much as 5 degrees.
for example i have a 75w in a 10 gal filled with 5 gals. set at 76F thermometer reads at 80-81F.The Jager heaters are the best. I just got back in keeping tanks again. I have another brand on my 55 but I am using this one on my 29. I will be replacing the 55's heater with a jager asap.

I have 2 of these in my 90 gallon tank. I have the temp set at 79F and I have never seen the temp at anything other than 79F. They hardly ever kick on, and when they do they aren't on for long. I keep my house at around 70F, so they do a very good job at regulating the temp in my aquarium.Read Best Reviews of EHEIM Jager Aquarium Thermostat Heater 125W Here
EBO JAGER heaters are the best.I replaced an ebo jager or eheim now, that was over 10 years old with this one.Broke in 10 days after installing. I thought this was supposed to be good German made glass but it shattered in my tank. I've emailed customer service and have yet to get a response back. Waste of money. Do not buy
Marineland Hidden LED Lighting System for Aquariums, 17-Inch, White and Blue
The lamps didn't quite fit the lip of our 180 gallon tank (3 lamps across the front). The ridge was just too wide for these. Fortunately they come with optional suction cups, so the lamps are affixed just inside the front of our tank.
Although these lamps come with a nighttime mode, the only way to activate it is to toggle a physical switch on the power cord, so you can't put that on a timer without purchasing separate bars to be kept permanently on the nighttime mode. That makes it a pretty expensive lighting solution overall.
The light is nice, on the blue side, which highlights certain kinds of fish, but makes our natural tank look a bit too cold. The light is not as bright as we would like, but it's about what we expected given that each fixture is a single bar of lights.A wonderful light that is fully submersible. A word of caution, this needs to be on a timer, because it will produce alot of algae quickly.

I bought one of these about four months ago to try out, as the concept is really slick. Bought it from a local pet store for $5.00 less than on Amazon. The mount is perfect on a 55gl or smaller... just clips onto the inside of the plastic frame so that the light is out of sight, under and behind the frame... very nice. However, on a larger tank, with a thicker plastic frame, the clip mounts don't work because they're made for the thinner plastic. Only alternatives I see on a thick frame tank would be to glue under the frame edge with some dots of silicone, or just set on top like any other light.I really like the blue night lights. Very pretty and eye-catching at night.
The light itself is somewhat comparable to a fluorescent hood, IF you use more than one. On a 55gl, it would take at least two... on a 125/150gl, minimum of three and probably six. That gets pretty expensive pretty fast.
The worst thing about mine though is that after two weeks, one of the three blue banks of LEDs stopped working, and after two months, one of the white banks stopped working. And that was with only occasional use, not submerged. I didn't use them daily. As with most LED device claims of mega-hour service, this one failed, not because of the LEDs themselves, but poor supporting electronics. I'm not investing in any more.So I bought this light for my 10 gal salt tank and it broke with in a month. It got water in it and shorted out. I reached out to Marine Land via email and got no reply after about a week and a half. I sent another email and said that if I didn't get a reply from that email I would be forced to go ahead with my review. After a week I still had no reply. So I gave the product one star on the marine land website. Two days later I got an email saying to mail the product to them and they would send me a new one, and a few days after that I got an email from someone who was obviously further up the chain and she mailed one out to me right away. She was super nice and I told her I would update my review. The new one is working fine (but its only been a week) so I went to the marine land website to update my review and it was gone. The only reviews there were 5star reviews. So Im not sure I trust anything on their website anymore. I will update this review if the new light flakes out.

I have an Eclipse PFE3 Hood and the lamp base assembly stopped working. The lamps were always susceptible to water since the lens was not very tight. I could not find a replacement and after further research found out on the Marineland website that the PFE3 was recently discontinued. Marineland recommended this as an alternate solution to replace the lighting. It fits perfectly on the rim of the front of the tank and works great. I was somewhat skeptical about using LED's instead of bulbs but it definitely provides enough lighting, not quite as much as the bulbs but close enough. So far I am very happy with the product which I have had for about a month. I also very much like the blue light which is meant to simulate lighting at night.FYI If you purchased your PFE3 within 2 years which is the warranty, call Marineland and they will send you an alternate hood and separate filter since the PFE is discontinued.
Aqueon 34500 ProFlex Sump Model 1, 44-55-Gallon
So, I bought the ProFlex Sump which has kept my tank crystal-clear now for months. There is very little maintenance; actually, none unless you want to fool around with the thing.
I made one improvement, I think it is an improvement, anyway. I added several hand-cut filter media in the receiving tray. Every other week, or so, I take the media and wring it out in cold water. That's about it.
Oh, also, I bought some extra bio-balls which I used to completely fill the middle section.
After reading about the fantastic results from bio-balls I was a bit skeptical how could a bunch of plastic balls clean water. Well, somehow (allegedly anaerobic animals gobbling up the poop and pee) it all works out and I have a great looking tank with exotic discus, lots and lots of plants (about 40 or so), snails up the gazoo (which came free as hitch hikers from the lady I bought the plants from) and something really pleasant to look when I'm bored.
About the snails. These things breed like rabbits. This sump has two filter bags in the primary cell. It seems that the snails really love living in these bags because there seems to be a gajillion of them in there. All sizes, too. I guess these snails help out the anaerobic baboons in the clean-up process. I don't bother them much. Just leave 'em in there.
All-in-all I am very happy with this item and I'm also very happy that I started maintaining a fish tank after a 55 year hiatus. This was a great product and just as described. I received this item right own , time and it was used just as they described..

The seller seems to have run out of suction cups. But the diffuser works great. It is also very small, the diameter of the ceramic disk is less than an inch and its about 3 inches tall, it looks great on my 10 gallon planted aquarium. This diffuser is 10 times better than any air stone and probably needs 10 times the pressure in order to work properly.EDIT: The ceramic disc in this nano diffuser will get clogged over time if you don't have a gas separator (assuming you have a DIY CO2 system; personally I wouldn't recommend having a gas separator since many of the pressure is lost in there). I recommend using hydrogen peroxide to clean it; pull it out and soak the diffuser in hydrogen peroxide. It is not harmful to the fish nor will it change the water chemistry of your tank once you put it back. You can rinse off the excess hydrogen peroxide if you want but it is not necessary.

I really liked this diffuser while it was working. But it takes less than a day when the pressure runs out for it to get clogged. Unclogging is as simple as drying it out and popping it in the oven for a short amount of time but one day the stem broke when I was removing the tubing. For 11 bucks, its annoyingly fragile, and in the end I was left searching for a more reliable product.Want Nano CO2 Diffuser - Glass Reactor for Aquarium Plants Discount?

Looked around for an extension, since I bought a deep 60 gallon hexagonal tank, you need a longer extension for the intake to get down into the tank for better filtration. I wish power filter companies would automatically include a long extension, especially since it wouldnt cost that much to include it anyway, but thank goodness you can get it here, on Amazon.Read Best Reviews of Tetra Extension Tube for Whisper 30 and 40 Filters Here
In the description it says that the tube will also fit 10-20 Whisper models. All LIES because it didn't fit at all! I was so happy because I looked everywhere and couldn't find this extension tube. When I saw it online I decided to spend the extra money to have it. Now I have a worthless $8.00 piece of plastic. took a gamble and bought is tube to be used as extension on my Fluval Edge tank in order to extend the filter tube deeper into the tank bottom. with a little effort, it fitted perfectly on the filter and had been working since.Blue Ribbon Natural Driftwood Large

I do realize that all driftwood is different. That said, I do take issue receiving a piece of driftwood measuring 14 inches at longest point (classified as medium per Amazon's product description) while paying for a large piece of wood advertised as 20 to 26 inches. To top it off, the wood I received is unusable in an aquarium setting due to the fact that the center was extremely porous/ rotted with sharp edges and micro crevices that will slice any fish attempting to swim through. My wood does not look like pictures posted by other users, perhaps it is the reseller Two to Tango that is the issue?Read Best Reviews of Blue Ribbon Natural Driftwood Large Here
I ordered the large driftwood in hopes of getting a nice centerpiece for my 75 gallon tank; something that perhaps resembled the one in the picture. What I got was basically just a straight log, which technically matched the specifications listed, but not really the centerpiece I had hoped for. I realize it's kind of the "luck of the draw," but I got the short end of the stick. Pun intended. I would probably not buy another piece without seeing it first.Want Blue Ribbon Natural Driftwood Large Discount?
This is one of those items that if I had to do it over, I would have bought from a brick & mortar store. One thing that bothers me is that it makes the water yellow. I soaked the wood in a bucket for a week and a half with water change every other day. Thought it would not bleed further into the tank water but still does. It doesn't harm the fish but I need to make a 50% water change once a week to keep the water from going too yellow.Buying online is a little cheaper but it was sight unseen. I was left to luck of the draw. The piece I received was large as described and was decent looking. I could see that it was sawed off from a larger piece. They tried to soften up the cut by running the ends on a circular brush of some kind. But I could still see that it was a cut. If I bought a piece from a store, I would have been able choose from a number of others that were available..But I made the piece work for our aquarium. Since my tank is a planted tank I began to put moss on the drift wood especially the cut end . Three months have passed and it looks really nice now. Yet, I hope the yellowish tinge would go away in time.
