don't buy this it is not what the picture represents!!! looks more like a tree branch than driftwood and you can actually see saw marks like it is part of a pruned bush. Its a 20 inch long stick.

I bought 2 of these Large 16"-20" chunks of wood and I am happy. I bought some from another place and was not happy with the Quality it was a low grade wood Chunks would fall off of it. BUT THIS ONE.... This is a good solid piece Great colour a high grade then others. Yes it looks nothing like the photo but DUH every piece of wood is different. I will post a photo of my pieces in my 80 Gal tank.

Its always best to pick out your own wood but I can never find any good size piece at the stores near me so I took a chance I'm happy I did and so are my Discus.

I do realize that all driftwood is different. That said, I do take issue receiving a piece of driftwood measuring 14 inches at longest point (classified as medium per Amazon's product description) while paying for a large piece of wood advertised as 20 to 26 inches. To top it off, the wood I received is unusable in an aquarium setting due to the fact that the center was extremely porous/ rotted with sharp edges and micro crevices that will slice any fish attempting to swim through. My wood does not look like pictures posted by other users, perhaps it is the reseller Two to Tango that is the issue?

I ordered the large driftwood in hopes of getting a nice centerpiece for my 75 gallon tank; something that perhaps resembled the one in the picture. What I got was basically just a straight log, which technically matched the specifications listed, but not really the centerpiece I had hoped for. I realize it's kind of the "luck of the draw," but I got the short end of the stick. Pun intended. I would probably not buy another piece without seeing it first.

This is one of those items that if I had to do it over, I would have bought from a brick & mortar store. One thing that bothers me is that it makes the water yellow. I soaked the wood in a bucket for a week and a half with water change every other day. Thought it would not bleed further into the tank water but still does. It doesn't harm the fish but I need to make a 50% water change once a week to keep the water from going too yellow.

Buying online is a little cheaper but it was sight unseen. I was left to luck of the draw. The piece I received was large as described and was decent looking. I could see that it was sawed off from a larger piece. They tried to soften up the cut by running the ends on a circular brush of some kind. But I could still see that it was a cut. If I bought a piece from a store, I would have been able choose from a number of others that were available..But I made the piece work for our aquarium. Since my tank is a planted tank I began to put moss on the drift wood especially the cut end . Three months have passed and it looks really nice now. Yet, I hope the yellowish tinge would go away in time.
