When I initially purchased this tank, I was extremely pleased. The top is very secure, yet easy to remove. The built-in lock mount and breakout channels in the lid for cords were wonderful benefits. I set the tank up with a 50W ceramic heat emitter aimed at one of the short sides, using a digital thermostat to reach a substrate temperature of about 92F. I would periodically check with my thermometer gun, but the glass never got above 95F. The heater did not touch the glass.

After less than one month of use, the glass on the long front panel of the tank failed. I was in the room at the time. The tank had not been moved, nor had anything fallen on it. The glass had just cracked extensively. Splinters of glass were sprinkled through the cage, providing a hazard to my gecko. After securing her, I found that the retailer would not assist me with this defective tank. I turned to Zilla, but they accused me of misrepresenting my issue and told me that the damage was caused by "impact". This is not the case. The tank had failed under normal usage conditions.

I understand that defects do make it to the consumer, but the poor service I've received from Zilla and their parent company has put me off. I will be avoiding their products and enclosures in the future.

This cage was met to my expectations it keeps my snake secure in its cage I love it it also keeps my snake safe.

This is an excellent cage to keep a corn snake. The lid is secure and latches very tightly. Having a place to put a padlock is a plus.

This tank was great! I was originally going to just buy a 20 gallon aquarium without the lid and make my own at Petco, but this one was on sale for only $30.00. I decided to buy it, and it is great! The lid is very secure, it has a satisfying click lock when you close it. There are even little openings on the back to where you can hang a water bottle holder from. My gerbils are happily running around in theior enclosure, and I have not had a problem yet! I don't know how it is for reptiles, but on the big cardboard box it comes in, it says NOT to use as aquariums for fish. So, all in all, this aquarium would prove great for gerbils, mice, or hamsters.

It took a bit long to get shipped but it is worth the wait! This is a perfect cage and my geckos are loving it. Will be buying again.
