Eshopps RS-200 Reef Sump - 125 to 225 gallons - 30 in. x 12 in. x 16 in.

Eshopps RS-200 Reef Sump - 125 to 225 gallons - 30 in. x 12 in. x 16 in.I've always been the type to buy the "next size up" when it comes to filtration. Currently, I have this sump hooked up to my 90 Gallon Reef Tank. In it, I have space for a Reef Octopus Needle Wheel Skimmer 6 in. up to 150 gallons in the protein skimmer area, and a Mag Drive Supreme 950 GPH Pump in the return area.

The water level lines that come on the sump will not be accurate if you have to raise up your protein skimmer (like I did), but besides that, it's a very simple design to work with. I do wish the filter socks were easier to remove (in my case, they are very difficult to remove at times because I have to slip a piece of PVC pipe into the drain bulkhead AFTER/WHILE I reinstall the filter sock (after washing it). The reason I have the extended PVC pipe going from the bulkhead into the water is so that the sump doesn't make so much water splashing noise when it is running. I'm sure with a little modification, this could become easier, so it isn't a deal-breaker when evaluating the sump. To keep things "in the family", I purchased the Eshopps PF-1200 Overflow Box Up to 300 gal. to go with this sump and EVERYTHING connects together very nicely.

In terms of durability, it is constructed very nicely and packaged very safely from the factory. The seams are all very nicely glued together and I have never had a leak in the past 6 months since I set it up.

All-in-all, it's a very nice sump, with exception to the filter sock frame design and the water splashing that comes from the factory drain setup. If you don't mind cutting a few pieces of PVC to quiet down your drains, this is the sump for you.
