CaribSea Arag-Alive 20-Pound Special Grade Reef Sand, Fiji Pink

CaribSea Arag-Alive 20-Pound Special Grade Reef Sand, Fiji PinkI love this sand I have it in my oceanic biocube (FRESHWATER) and also my (SALTWATER) 135 gallon tank.practically no maintenance sand especially if you buy a couple flounders to bury under the sand and also sand sifting snails.I have had this sand in my tank for a year and looks better than the day I first added it.

loved this sand because it has alot of healthy bacteria for a new salt water tank and really helped my tank cycle very fast..very pretty sand and my snails just love it..lol..i just love the quality of this sand so much that its the only sand i use for my salt water tanks!!

I used the sand to cycle my tank. 2 months later, my tank is doing great. The sand is pretty fine but it looks great.

This sand is so much more than I thought it was going to be! First of all, it has all the good bacteria already in it, so you know your fish will do well with it. Secondly it come with a packet of clarifier to help make the water clearer faster. Because it IS sand I would definitely recommend cycling it for at LEAST a few days before you add your fish, until it's all settled.

Usually when I get a new tank and I transfer my fish at least one doesn't make it. But I haven't lost a single fish! Now I don't know if it's because of this awesome sand, or what, but that's all I can think it is.

My fish LOVE to roll in it. I know that sounds weird, but they roll on their sides and rub up against the sand. They try to burrow holes in it and they never did that with the rocks I had before. (I have cichilds) They love this stuff!

Oh, and it says Fiji Pink. it is not actually pink, it is the tan color that is showed.
