The pump doesn't come with the standard suction-cup style mount to keep vibration away from your sump bottom and walls. So, I have it on top of a sponge with a another sponge between it and the wall closest to it. Now the pump is quiet.
I recently ordered two more for my future fish room. These will be in my sump pumping water to my tanks. 65 watts is great and a great selling point.

I wasnt sure if i should purchase this pump or not but decided to and worked out great. i lower the flow rate while feeding so my fish have a chance to eat. After 5 or 10 min i turn it back full blast and it circulates all the water very fast. The only issue i have with it is that it is a little noisy but I dont mind it since the fish tank is in the living room and not in my bedroom. Also the fittings that come with it does not work well so what i ended up doing was buying some fittings from HomeDepot to screw into the return end to get a tighter fit which at about $3 each but a simple fix. Great pump; does the trick. If you are concerned about the noise factor, it tends to hum a little louder if it's sitting on the bottom of something I rigged up a suspension mechanism so the pump is more or less 'floating' in the water.
