I've tried numerous ways to dissolve carbon dioxide into my tank. The best, for me, is this type of diffuser, with a rotating wheel that assists in the process. For 2-3 times more, there is a 10 times better, more efficient product (althought 3-4 times taller). The black nipple that comes with this one is not too useful. The rate of flow needed has to be at least that of a small powerhead. The only reason to use this product is if you want a rotating wheel and space is very limited. Otherwise, other accessories function better and are considerably easier to install/control.
