I bought two biorb aquariums, the Life 60 (16 gallon) and the Life 30 (8 gallon) 4 months ago and haven't had any problems (both are a freshwater setup). They look sharp and everyone notices them right away when they come over. The tanks come with ceramic media, filter, air pump w/ one way valve, air stone, and LED lighting. The amount of ceramic media that came with my tanks seemed low so I purchased more. If you are an experienced aquarists you should have no problems keeping fish in these tanks. I would consider both my tanks to be over stocked and in 4 months still have not lost a single fish. I have found replacement filters and air stones at all my local pet supply stores. The supplied air pumps have big rubber feet and don't make much noise. The LED lighting is amazing and gives you half a dozen setup options. I use the 14 hour day setting, it gives you 12 hours of full day light with an hour sunrise transition and hour sunset transition then 10 hours of moonlight. The top of the tank has two small holes, one is for feeding and I also use it when obtaining water sample with a pipette, the other is a small notch at the back that I use to pass the power cable for my heater and the cable for my digital thermometer through.

I bought the 12 gallon BioOrb Tank in Feb from Amazon. After 1 month, the fish tank exploded and the water, rocks, and fish ended up on my living room floor. I have pictures.
These can get easily messy when you're breaking a piece of the blood worm pack off to thaw, but other than that this are great. My King Betta went bananas after trying one of these. I held one out side of the tank and he swam back and forth faster than ever, and he jumps out of the water like mad when I hold them above the water. Definitely recommend these as a treat for your betta.
i puchased this item the 5th of May of last year and i have a seamonkey tank, whenever they die out i use the included feeding spoon included in my seamonkey kit to add more eggs, a lot of them die young but theres always about 5 or so that make it, although the glass test tube like container they come in seems like only a small amount, it isn't, I've given generous amounts to my friends and have used plenty myself, and i honestly don't see myself running out of this stuff for a WHILE. btw the tube is about 6 inches tall or so, if you're looking for non rip-off eggs for your seamonkey habitat, this is more than great, but i don't see these lasting any longer than a few weeks of constantly feeding any fish but i only have these guys as pets, and they're much better than mailing in $3 for a packet of single-use eggs that may have a better chance of more of them growing to be adults but these eggs with proper care can be grown to adults

I was apprehensive about buying any bubbler stone at all, since the web is full of bad reviews for such items. This one worked like a charm. It stays at the bottom of the tank, and has bubbles across most of its width. It was very helpful that I bought an air pump with an adjustable output, as it allowed me to customize the amount of bubbles to my liking. I had not bought a check valve for the air line, and I'll have to buy one next. I feel like the description was false advertisement. When the "cave kit" arrived the pieces were so small that I couldn't make any type of cave that any fish could use.
Similar to the previous customer's review, my bulb replacement arrived broken as well. The package contained no bubble wrap and had one small (very small) piece of newspaper in the box which served no purpose given the larger size of the container. The bulb arrived in millions of pieces...literally. Extremely disappointed!

Years ago when I had many aquaria set up I tried both the Vortex diatom filter and the Magnum filter. The Magnum filter outlasted the Vortex filter by years, and the only reason I still do not have my magnum is that I sold all my aquaria stuff after a divorce years ago :(

I keep an adult red-eared slider semi-aquatic turtle who is very very very messy... like most turtle owners I have struggled to keep the water clean over the years ( frequent water changesreplacing filter cartridges having been a must.) My previous filter was destroyed by the turtle and I started looking online for a replacement. I wanted a high performance filter. I bought this filter about a month ago and have been amazed since then. I keep the animal in a pre-formed pond liner in my kitchen with around 60 gallons of water. I have not so far have had to change the water ( just add some) and it is clear and free of odors. The carbon in the filter really does wonder at purifying and the blue sleeve catches the debris very well. I have replaced the sleeve twice and the carbon once in a month time. The bio wheels are I think a must for turtles as they oxygenate the water and create more movement. I had to modified the set-up a bit in order to instal it on the pond liner instead of an aquarium, which took a little time, but so far have had zero problems. I've had a 75 gallon tank for about 30 years. This is only the 1st time I've had to replace the original Magnum I started with. I stared experiencing problems with the motor about 3 months ago, which I repaired, and then it stopped pumping as much water. I probably could have repaired that, as well, but felt it was probably time to get the latest and greatest. The main reason I stayed with Magnum, aside from my extreme satisfaction with my first one, is the ability to use generic charcoal/filtering materials. I took the opportunity to look at several other makes and all required the use of their own filters, pads, etc., all at high cost. Being able to use generic supplies keeps the long term costs down. Installation was a breeze. The reason for a 4 instead of a 5 rating is due to the slight difficulty of positioning the unit under the tank. Due to the quick release valves, the actual height needed is much higher than the actual height of the unit itself. I found that I had to "force" the hose to bend around the edge of the tank to go up the back. It seems to put a lot of stress everything and I'm concerned about the long term effect. Time will tell. In the meantime it works great, is quiet, and I am looking forward to another 30 years!
I have a 40 gallon reservoir that I am trying to hold around 70 Degrees. The temperature controller keeps it within 2 degrees and seems to work very efficiently.
This java came in a little over grown to the point that it was growing on its own leaves. But! This was a HUGE and very healthy mat! I had so much left over I went ahead and set up another aquarium! The root was healthy nice and green! They come on a coco fiber mat that can be a little hard to tweese out but is probably best left on and then tethered to whatever you want it to grow on. Again, awesome mat, looks just like the picture only twice as big! Keep in mind too order in the cooler months to save the plant some black spots. Very very well packaged and came in great condition. Would and probably will order again :)

These seem like they would have been amazing specimens, but they did not travel well from the West coast. When I received them, (in MA) they were covered in black spots apparently from heat damage sustained in transit. I will say that the seller was very, very cooperative & immediately issued me a full return. The local fish shop was out (and would have cost more). Got a good size 4x3" or so densely planted mat, shipped USPS express. It's a good low light plant, and you can split the mat up so you can keep a bit in your quarantine tank too.
