I had my boyfriend put the cleaner together because I don't have the strength to put it together. Works well and easy to put it away. I have three turtles and a 55 gallon tank so cleaning was hard to do. The pump has made it a lot easier.
Overall I really like the Hatch 'N Feeder. It works as advertised in that brine shrimp are hatching and my Swordtail fry love them. As others mentioned, the fry wait at the hatchery exit. When using 4 "small" spoonfuls from the included measuring stick, the fry hatch in 8 hours and seem to last for about 36 hours before there are little to no shrimp left in the hatchery.

I haven't bought this product from this person, but I did buy the exact same thing somewhere else. This is amazing. For you bettas breeder you know you gotta keep the tank really clean for the babies. Well, thing does all the work does for you. all you do is add salt and eggs. It just sit in the frys' tank and the saltwater never MIXES. and the eggs that hatch will not float into the tank. the shrimp just swim out and feed the baby bettas non stop around the clock. and you wont even have to add my more eggs to it for days. i just added more after 2 days so i have a fresh brine shrimp for sure! I placed this hatchery in a 75 gallon tank containing spotted puffers. I read the poor reviews of this product and specifically looked for the complaints listed here. I found none of them to be accurate. The suction cup is quite strong when placed properly in the tank. I also have a brackish water condition so I have little concern for water mixing. However, if used properly will be very effective in keeping water separate. You will need an air pump for this to function well. If your pump is too strong, purchase an air flow restrictor for very little cost compared to a new pump. my shrimp hatched within 24 hours and began to exit the hatchery within 48 hours. The instructions were clear and easy to follow for someone with experience in aquariums and their care. Very enjoyable and functional product. I can now give my fish a live treat with less cost and no concern of transfering disease or parasites. One tip if you have a fresh water tank and do not want any salt water leakage, do not remove air tubing while still in the tank. Remove the entire unit quickly and into a waiting bucket for cleaning. Handling this unit full while inside the tank can cause some spillage. For salt water and brackish tanks, this is of little concern. It works just as advertised. The only thing I dislike is how the shrimp swim out. My fish constantly wait at the fish guard gobbling them up. I wish they would have a more constant escape, but it's like in bursts. It should feed them several times a day like it says, but I wish they came out constantly in like a streamline of small quantities instead of just a few large bursts. Also, a lot of dead shells end up in the collection chamber. You also have to leave the air on at all times because if you don't, the shrimp won't get put into the right area to get out, they will try to swim up at the top near the light where they can't get out. So overall, it works as advertised, just with a few little problems. If I had to do it over though, I would just get a cup and do it that way. But it does come with a dropper which is nice.
I have been using this to clean my 75 gallon Marine Aquarium for a few months now and it is doing a very good job. The pump primer works great, the on/off valve makes it convenient to control the flow and the suction is very good to assist with removing detritus from the tank. Plus the price was amazingly low!

This thing has so many air leaks that there is no chance of starting a siphon. The siphon tube is thin, cheap ribbed plastic which does not seal to either end of the pump. I thought this would be great with the controllable flow, but since no siphon is possible there is no flow to control. Took 2 weeks to arrive too, so I guess you get what you pay for. It's not even worth my time to return it.Works well and is simple to use. Shipping was not as long as stated. I am very pleased with this product. You cannot find a light like this for the price. My corals love the bright light. I hung it above my tank from a hook that only took a few minutes to install.
I prefer the center hinge over the screens withe little access doors. I thought they would be more convenient by not having to move my lights when access the terrarium. The little doors are just that though little. The center hinge makes maintenance and feeding much simpler. It is also much easier to remove a wriggling lizard with the center hinge screen. The only thing I don't like is that they never seem to fit flush with the top of my aquarium. I have bought many screens by this manufacturer and they all need to be clamped down with those ugly screen locks to fit tight. They feel a little flimsy but I have never had a problem using light bulbs, infrared heating bulbs, or the ceramic heat lamps on top of these covers.
This is an easy and cheap way of testing PH. It doesn't need to be calibrated like the electronic ones , just put the water that needs tested in the tube, then a couple drops of the liquid , shake and match the color up on the supplied PH chart.

I got this to test my pH while setting up a freshwater tank. Where I live, the water is quite hard, so I knew some adjustments would be needed. This is a very simple to use kit and the laminated card that tells you the explanation of the test result colors is great. However, because it only goes up to 7.5, I had to do a lot of guesswork to get my tank down to those levels. The color stays the same until the pH falls down to the levels this kit is designed for not a design flaw at all, but it isn't the most effective kit when you live in a hard water area. I suspect the same would be the case if you live somewhere with very soft water, too.if your growing plants. then one of these is very handy. i ordered 5. and according to professional growers. ph test kits such as these are very suggested because they are very accurated. although expensive ph meter/ or test pens are also good, they are expensive around 80 and you can use it for a certain amount of times then you have to calibrate it again to increase the potency in accuracy. I avoid doing that because a good digital ph is like 80+ and plus the calibration to calibrate it back to default is extra. so i purchased 5 of these to get free shipping and got it. and each pack works for 250 times or 250 tests. so this is definitely a good deal to get. before you order make sure you find out the ph level you need to achieve for either your plants or fish tanks. instructions seems tricky at first but look at the same card. fill water till line. 3 drops. shake it up. and match colors.

The way this works is, you hook it up to an air pump, and when you hold it just right in the water, the air bubbles go up the tube and draw some water with it. The water spills into a filter, collecting the debris.
I bought this for my angel fish, who spawn in my tank regularly, thinking that I could raise the fry there. The mesh is WAY too big all of the babies swam right back out and were eaten. The mesh is about the same as a normal fish net entirely too big for any fry I've seen regardless of species. If you're looking for something to actually raise babies in, look elsewhere. Also the construction of the thing was incredibly flimsy.

Was using this to house a Lionhead Goldfish with swimmer bladder issues so he didn't have to lay at the bottom of the tank or deal with other healthy goldfish. Allowed him to eat easier since his food was contained. Very simple and straightforward design. Super simple to put together. Not super high quality but what do you expect for a few dollars? For the price I can't complain. I found it useful. It has ample room for young fry to grow. The plastic is somewhat rigid and breaks easily with the slightest pressure. I had to use the time tested cure of duct tape to solve that problem. It still serves me.
My pond is 5000 gallons with about 12 Koi. I constantly would get green water with algae, proably from feeding our fish to much. I tried this product in addition to beneficial bacteria and now water is clear. Not harmful to fish, plants, or pets.
Save your money and buy another product. I bought this 100 gal. UV sterilizer/filter for a 46 gallon tank and the water is just as green and cloudy as it was before the installation of the filter. The UV light is working because at night in a totally dark room you can see the blue glow of the light. However, the pump does not work as I can feel no water motion coming from the ejection outlet and the water is a nasty cloudy green. I have a garden pond with a UV filter and that water is crystal clear so I know what it should look like with a fully functioning UV filter. I do not recommend this filter. If you don't like disappointment you'd be better off to keep looking and spend your hard-earned money elsewhere.

The first issue is that the box it comes in touts its fucntion as to kill algae and pathogens. No where on the box does it tell the buyer who Deep Blue is and where it is loctated. The instructions are non-existent. The only thing that comes with the instructions is warnings and disclaimers. The instructions consist of a childlike drawing of an aquarium with arrows with words above it which are illegible. The unit comes in two pieces and the fittings are cheap and fall apart. There is no way to determine if the unit is even working. The UV lamps are enclosed in a plastic unit and the only way to determine if the unit is working is to take it apart. Most higher level units will have a small hole to expose the lamps so the user can determine if the light is still on and working. The ciculation pump falls apart in two pieces and is so small it doesnt even produce a small ripple of water. Excellent moonlight. This thing is so bright (at 24 watts) that I needed to install a potentiameter to dim it because my fish thought it was still daylight. I'm using it on a 100 gallon acrylic tank with African cichlids. I even faced it up facing the top of my canopy and it was still too bright. I've tried lots of moonlights and this is the best for the price.
