I am very pleased with this product. You cannot find a light like this for the price. My corals love the bright light. I hung it above my tank from a hook that only took a few minutes to install.
Thanks! The unit is very cheapily made. After only about 1 month of use many of the LEDS went out. The LEDs used are way to weak to "grow" corals as the seller claims. I would avoid this product.I would never try this on my reef tank as there is no way it's powerful enough to supplement the light needed for coral growth. I used it on my freshwater tank for a while with no splash and one line of blue went out. The plants seem to like it but it looks more blue than white which is also a bummer.from some 1 that knows
for 14 watts this thing is great using it on a saltwater tank i would give it a 9 out of 10
the only bad thing is that i think it could be a bit more water tight keep in mind that im using it on a aquarium and not as a plant lite
i used in the past
LEDwholesalers High Power WHITE + BLUE LED Aquarium Reef corals grow light. 250 watt not as bright but very close and its 14watt
and no loud fan
Marineland ML Double Bright LED Light and Aqua Medic Metal Halide + T5 Ocean Light Fixture
on a 225 gal aquarium i now use 2 of the HQRP Blue + White Aquarium Reef Corals Grow LED Light Panel 13.8W 150 White + 70 Blue LED 7000K / 460 nm + UV Tester
and
1 Full Spectrum Light Bulb ALZO 85 watt CFL 5500K daylight balanced pure white light 4250 Lumens for power ..In a 5 gal bucket
for a tot of 113 watts i was using well over 1200 watts and now so far this is much betteri have this on a refugium running 8 hrs a day, they are low output LED's so don't expect it to blind you or bleach coral. my only complaint is the one they sent me is 50/50 blue to white. i'd put the color spectrum around 16k
