Petco 3" Aquarium Net for Brine Shrimp
I bought this at Petco in person. I use it for all of my fish because, since it's made for delicate brine shrimp, the net material is very fine and soft. This is good for all types of fish and prevents damaging their fins and scales when moving them. Most nets made for fish are quite rough, so I prefer this net.
P.S. If you ever lay the net on the top of the tank, be sure none of the material is touching the water because it will wick the water and you may get some dripping out of the tank.

This is a great product. The aerator works very well and is not loud at all. The bubbles it produces are small and so son't disturb the water surface too much even when adjusted up to highest air flow. The LED lights make the entire thing look awesome!! And I was happy that it has it's own aerator. I thought I would have to buy an air pump to run it, but it has its own submersible pump that fits right under the Eiffel Tower. I couldn't be happier with it.

This package arrived and i could immediately tell that the bulb box had been opened and re-taped at the bottom. There was also the unmistakable sound of broken glass. The inner bulb box packing material was missing from the one end I opened. I have no idea whether this bulb worked well or not since it was not 36' and wouldn't fit in my fixture. This is a nice tank for a vivarium and the front opening doors make the inside more accessable, the only reason I dont give this 5 stars is bc of the very fragile hinges on the front doors which can break if not gently opened and closed.

The front doors make easy to get your pet, food and decoration out fast... I have some trouble with the screen because of the space between the plastic supports but nothing that can't be worked with patience and care.The only bad thing here is the price tag for this size, when I order my I pay $190 and something and the terrarium was broken when I get it, I have to pay $20 extra to get a local store cut a tempered glass door to repair the destroyed one, but going back to the price tag I will recomend this one only if you need the front door design, if not check some other options on reptile terrariums (I found one terrarium for turtles on local pet store 4" shorter for only $69, man...)
And be sure you are willing to deal with broken glass, exchanges or DIY work to repair it... for me was first and last time I buy big glass items online.

I don't really leave reviews, but my experience has been so negative that I feel I must warn any customers thinking of purchasing this item.I originally ordered this last week and with my Prime membership the terrarium arrived Saturday morning. I could hear broken glass in the box and when the delivery man and I opened the package we saw that the back window was shattered. The person(s) who packed it simply put it in a box (one it barely squeezed into) with no protection at all. No peanuts, no foam, no bubble wrap. Just stuck it in a box to be thrown on a truck. There wasn't even any indication on the box that the contents were fragile; only a sticker reading "Heavy, Lift with Care".
I called Amazon customer support (I ordered it from them and not another seller) to request a replacement and for them to pass my packaging feedback along to the shipping department. I had high hopes that the new one would actually be properly cared for. Wednesday evening, when it still hadn't arrived, I checked my tracking information to find a notification that UPS did not deliver it due to damage.
Once again I called Amazon and a third terrarium was shipped out yesterday. My brother had to refuse it at the door this morning because, for the third time, it was improperly packaged. He told me it looked like whoever packed it just rigged a box around the terrarium and taped it up. Again, the sound of broken glass could be heard.
Never have I ever had a negative word to say about Amazon or their service. I specifically ordered this through them because I thought, apparently foolishly, that they would know what they were doing when shipping something like this. I am extremely disappointed and baffled as to how anyone would think shipping a large and very obviously glass item without proper protection was in any way ok.
Needless to say, I am getting my money refunded and will look elsewhere for this terrarium.
I hope this review will help anyone considering ordering this, and I hope my feedback to Amazon will see their shippers trained on how to properly send items like this in the future.

First off all other reviewers should learn they are reviewing the product not the shipper. There is a separate place for that. Now on to the tank. The best I have ever had. I have been keeping herps for 20 years and had always had aquarium style tanks. I now have this one in 3 different sizes and love it. I'll list some great things about it1 The bottom is sealed and rated to hold water. Cheaper terrariums are not and may or may not leak. If you are going to build any kind of vivarium, this is your tank
2 The back wall gives a great look and function to the tank. I have bearded dragons in mine and they love to climb and tear away at it. To fix this I followed instructions online and covered it with grout and repainted it. Just search youtube for building a backwall and you get to skip the hardest part of shaping styrofoam. My geckos don't don't damage theirs so depending on the animal you may not have to do anything.
3 Build quality is great all around. Good materials, holes to run cables inside, underneath, anywhere you would need to.
4 the most obvious but the best. As well as an opening on top this product has 2 front opening glass doors. It makes it easy to set up he tank but most importantly I found that I interact so much more with my pets because its so easy. I don't have to remove lights and heat lamps every time I want to get to them. I can just flip a switch open the door and there they are. Some times I'll just pet them real quick if I don't have time to hold them. I think they prefer not to be grabbed from top also. Maybe a natural instinct because of birds to fear things coming from on top of you. Its easy to feed daily, change water ect...
I could never go back to anything else after using this tank
Now for the one kinda negative. The top (I'm sure for strength and long term durability) is crisscrossed with plastic bars. This means that larger standard dome lamps will not fit directly on the screen and will rest on a bar. Also if you are using ceramic heat bulbs there is a good chance you could melt it. Exo-Terra makes domes that fit and are also very high quality. So I would recommended getting one from them. So be aware of a possible added expense when switching to this tank depending on your needs

I bought this about a year ago so my stinkpot turtle could get out to dry his shell. Like others have said, it is not that aesthetically pleasing, but it did the job. After a few months, the lower suction cups stopped sucking to the glass, and it grew algae very easily. Even after scrubbing, the algae came back soon. Then my turtle chomped it upgross! I hope he doesn't get sick! This time I will pay more to get a higher quality product.

I have had two sliders since they were babies and I was only able to use the zoo med turtle dock for about 2-3 months due to several issues. At first the dock was okay... it wasn't totally aesthetically pleasing but it did the trick. My turtles would use it often to bask without any problems. After about the first month or so the suction cups were not sticking very well to the point where they no longer stick to the bottom portion which is submersed in the water. As the turtles got bigger they would get stuck behind the bottom plastic bar, and would really have to struggle to free themselves...they never drown but this crossed my mind as a possible hazard. The dock also started to grow algae and when I tried to clean and scrub it off the paint scrubbed off with it. These are just minor problems considering once my turtles grew to be 3 inches in length they began to actually bite the dock to the point where they were able to get actual huge chunks out of it and consume it. I looked this up online and it is a very common problem with foam docks. It is very unhealthy for them to consume foam or plastic. Overall it is a cheap dock and you get what you pay for. I bought one of these docks for my turtle a really long time ago and it lasted for 5+ years. Then it just seemed too slimy so i decided to throw it out and get my turtle a fresh one. As soon as I opened the box i could tell that the quality was so much cheaper than the original one I had. The raft itself started flaking off as soon as i touched it. At the same time it felt super greasy. I didnt really want to expose my turtle to anything that would flake off into the water so i tried rinsing it off and pretty much got no where. The plastic bars that attach to the suction cups seemed like the crappiest plastic I've ever seen or touched. The original one was much sturdier. The suction cups were separated in the packaging and required some assembly prior to use. As I was putting the suction cups onto the plastic bars I kept wondering how long this dock would last b/c the quality seemed so terrible. The suction cups were very difficult to attach and within a few seconds the plastic bar snapped into two pieces. So annoying. I gave this thing the benefit of the doubt after reading some of the reviews on here, like how the turtles will start chowing down on the dock. My turtles are extreme wimps. They won't even eat the tiny goldfishes that I had in the tank. This brings me to exactly how horrible this dock is. I don't know if they did something new or found a new way to make this thing, but the minute I took it out of the box, I felt this weird oil and it was extremely sandy, like the styrofoam was disintegrating in my hand. Maybe it was just extra parts of it. I can't tell. The dock was also very dark, almost black, with spots of green, I guess to look like algae or grass or something, but it wasn't pretty. It didn't look like the picture on the box at all! I thought I had received someone's used one until I did a little research. Anyways, back to oil. I proceeded to clean the dock, with a very mild dish washing detergent so it'll cut through the oil and hopefully wash it away. After, I soaked the dock in clean water for 2 days, TWO DAYS, changing water twice a day to make sure any traces of detergent would be gone. On the second day, there was still oil coming out of the dock, but it was very little. To the point where I had to look for it so again, gave it benefit of the doubt, put it into my tank. My turtles loved it. They immediately started playing on it, but the goldfishes that I had in the tank all died, within 30 minutes. They've been in the tank with my turtles for almost 2 weeks now!! They've literally became friends with my turtles!! I immediately pulled out my turtles. My turtles are okay, but the oil or whatever the dock was emitting CANNOT be good for any sea creatures. My husband asked me to write this review because he was relieved when we got it.This glass canopy lid for the aquarium is ONE PIECE. It is hinged in the middle. This means, you don't have to worry about lifting the side to feed the fish and having the whole thing come up. It also opens to the front (as most aquarium lids should) instead of the middle (yes, I've seen this). It is heavy enough that there is no movement when you open the lid to drop food in or whatever you need to do inside the tank.
We topped it with Aqueon Coralife 05619 Aqualight T5 Freshwater Dual Lamp Fixture, 36-Inch which fits perfectly with this lid. We have absolutely no complaints about this lid. It is a good, solid lid that looks great on top, had a good plastic, raised handle. We highly recommend it!

The White light (3 Watt LED) is bright but it spotlights if too close to my Nano (needs to be about 12-18 inches above the 6 gallon nano). IIf I mount it above the nano it works but since that requires a horizontal surface for the clamp (edge of a shelf) the weight of the heatsink and circuitry (all in the head) defeat the gooseneck and it will not stay horizontal.
I'm going to tear it down and install the lamp into my nano fixture. Otherwise would have returned. Poorly engineered. Looks cool though.

I was looking for a good LED for my 2.5g nano tank... needed something that wouldn't sit ontop of the glass top because it is already hard enough having to remove the strip light then remove the glass just to get inside the tank...It has 3 LED ..one bright white and 2 mini blue for moonlight if you want. You can turn all of them on which I really like.. it makes my tank stand out. Not too bright nor too dim, just perfect!!
This LED light fits rimless and rimmed tank.. which I haven't seen any other product out there has....
It's worth the buy!! Plus it will last many years to come!

I'm a little hesitant to write this review as it's not a positive one and it seems that most people are quite happy with the product so maybe I got a defective one? I have no idea but I speak the truth on what's happening. This thing is not silent at all. I guess I fell prey to "silent" being in the name and chose it but if this is silent I would hate to hear a loud one. The pump is fully submerged. Water going in and out I guess is silent but the vibration created by the pump is HUGE. It vibrates the entire plumbing outake running through the aquarium which then vibrates the wood stand. This all creates a very loud HUMMMMM, (jokingly in the key of D for any musicians out there). Jokes aside though, it's very loud sitting next to my tv and stereo. I can muffle the vibration a little by holding the plumbing I did in a variety of ways and plan on securing the plumbing with insulation and straps to hold everything tight against the wood stand. This only minimizes the hum by the way. It doesn't eliminate it. If this method doesn't work I'd like to know how I'm going to figure it out or else I will have no choice but buy another pump. Over $100 is a LOT to throw away but this is by far the loudest thing running in the aquarium set up and it's ALL vibration. Somehow minimize the vibration it creates and it would be a nice pump but sheesh, should I have to DIY the thing like crazy to make it useable?
For the past week, I have been testing my system out with pure RO/DI water. There is absolutely nothing in the tank to clog or get in the impeller of the pump. And everything else is brand new. Several days ago, the pump has started to make a rather annoying vibrating, rattling sound. The sound gets louder as I increase the intake volume using the adjustable volute. Keep in mind I have only had this pump running for a week in pure RO/DI water and nothing else.
I thought the other reviewers were having problems because of user error or that their systems may have not been designed with silence in mind. However, now I agree with the other reviewers wholeheartedly. This pump is noisy and the sound keeps us up at night. This is with the tank in a completely different room. I am in the process of trying to find another pump. This was just going to be a temporary pump until the new Waveline pumps are available and then be a backup pump in case I ever needed it. However, I am returning this because I don't even want to keep it as a backup pump.

The pump is quiet, very well made, small for its output, came with 2x adapters to fit 0.75 and 1" hose, and makes very little heat my tank temperature dropped the day after I replaced my Mag drive 9.5.The plastic casing is high quality, not brittle and easily discolored like other brands. The tool-less maintenance is a huge plus, as is the fused magnet-ceramic shaft impeller, which won't
slow the pump down as it cannot lock up with calcium precipitate. The ends of the ceramic shaft are seated in ceramic bushings, which also resist precipitation.
I will update this review when I perform my first maintenance/cleaning.

TOM Aquarium Temp Alert Fahrenheit Digital Thermometer
Got this for my 29G tank and it works as described. It's much better than the "peel & stick" thermometers. Displays the time and temp. The alarm/alert can be turned if needed and the temp probe is plenty long. If you own an aquarium this is what you want to maintain the perfect temp. Also works great with water changes. You can get the "new" water the perfect temp BEFORE you add it to your tank.

This a good thermometer for the money. It works quite well. The only issue I have is the alarm when the water gets above 80 degrees. This thermometer only displays the temp where the probe is, not room and water temp as their misleading claim. The temp alarms (2 not 4 as claimed) are preset to alert you if the temp drops below 75 or above 82 degrees, they claim it has 4 alerts which is not true . 75 degrees is max for my tank so alerts are useless. So be sure you can use it before you buy it. I bought 4 different types of digital thermometers and put all 4 in one tank with the probes side by side and all 4 have a different reading. In contrast to what I read in another review here before purchasing the thermometer, I found that the high and low temp alerts are preset to (if I remember right) 76 and 82 or so. This is not workable for me (I'm in Tucson and keep my house at 85 or so in the summer) so I returned it. Part of the description also talks about 4 alert features. I couldn't for the life of me figure out what this means. That each of the two alerts turns both on and off?

Hagen Nutrafin Max Feeding Ring with Suction Cup
I have been this feeding ring in my Marine tank for years. The ring works just fine, that is if you use it correctly. Other reviews of this product stated that they did not use the styrofoam insert. This is absurd for 2 reasons. 1 the styrofoam insert will not harm your aquarium in any way. 2 this product will not work the way it is designed to if you do not use the insert.Basically, if you have an irrational fear about putting the styrofoam insert in your tank...don't even bother buying this product.
If you do buy one, it works as designed. Your fish will learn to eat out of it. My Blue Moon Angel attacks it as soon as I put the food in. He also has removed the styrofoam from one before...with no ill effects.
I have a drain in each corner of my 220g Marine tank...I put the ring in the center of the tank...it allows the food to fall straight down into the tank...instead of going down the drains.
The only drawback with this product is that it will probably only last 1 2 years before the suction cup stops performing its job.
So every 1 2 years I buy a new one. Its better than letting all the food drain into my sump.

I love these little rings. I don't have any problems with positioning it. A couple of times it has tilted but doesn't take even a second to tap and straighten before putting food in it. I have two external filter systems and they create a lot of movement of top water which causes food to sink immediately. These save food and keep bottom cleaner. Sounds like some users may have large fish that may like to play with the ring. I have seen my large pleco mess with it to get stuck pieces off the edges. What do you expect for a couple of dollars? I had a problem. When I fed my fish, the water current would sweep the food pellets into the filter. The poor fish's food was gone before he even noticed it was there!Hagen Nutrafin Max Feeding Ring with Suction Cup to the rescue. It's a simple and effective solution. Just press the suction cup to the side of the tank, at the top of the water. The ring will float (do not remove the styrofoam underneath it! That's the floating mechanism!). Then, just sprinkle the food flakes or pellets within the ring. They will remain inside the ring even though the water is flowing around it. (Until they eventually get saturated with water and sink.)
Not only did this product solve my food-in-the-filter problem, it helped me track how much my fish needed to eat. I can walk away from the tank after feeding, come back a few minutes later, and see how much food he left untouched. (Before, it would have scattered all over the tank or gone into the filter.) This helped me figure out the right portions for mealtime.

Bulb worked for only a few days, then algae started. It is hard to tell exactly when it failed since I didn't look until the algae got out of control.I should have paid attention to some previous reviews and bought the cheapest available.
This brand name bulb was worthless. I have their filter and their pump but their bulb is unreliable.
I expected to get at least 1 full season out of this bulb, The one that I got with my filter last year lasted 5 months, I was at least counting on 6 months for this one. What a waste. A cheap non-brand one might last a little longer.

Zilla 11823 Gut Load Cricket Drink with Calcium, 16-Ounce Bottle
Ok so I've been keeping crickets for forever for my leopard gecko. I usually buy them once a week or so in sets of 10-15. They get a capful of this crap and another capful of some powder food. Honestly, this stuff is just terrible compared to that yellow liquid cricket stuff (you know the one). First off, it doesn't come with a scooper like the yellow. Second, it is made of these terrible little beads that get everywhere and try out within 2-3 days. Finally, the whole bottle has changed from green to blue (after about a month stored indoors in the shade). Also, the bottle is so tall that scooping (I use the scooper from the yellow gel stuff) is very inconvenient. I have to get my whole hand in there to get the stuff out. Since I dropped like 8 bucks on this thing I'm gonna power through, but I already have my yellow gel ready to go once this stuff is finally exhausted.Moral of the story, it works, but not well. Get the yellow cubes (not the orange cubes, the yellow ones).
